Fish Cafe is the kind of place to really appreciate in an era of dwindling seafood. Fish Cafe serves seafood at prices you can laugh off if you hug the low end of the menu. Fish Cafe doesn't expect to survive on low prices alone. The fish is of good quality and that's what makes all the difference. Portions are generous and everything, except perhaps the ketchup and fishburger buns, is made in-house. This is home-style cooking, nothing fancy, no flights of fancy. There are salmon, halibut, mahi mahi and prawn entrees daily, and there's rice or a big batch of home-style fries, plus a choice of sauces to go with the fish. Fish Café also features a limited wine list and draft and bottled beers.

Great little neighborhood restaurant with a casual, no-frills vibe. Changing daily menu on a chalkboard and superb fresh fish every day. Started with some perfect calamari and french wine, and for the main course had blackened swordfish with garlic butter and rice. So good.

Ultra-fresh fish, best French Fries in town, friendly service, homey atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Definitely not a fancy highly decorated place, but that's part of the attraction. It raised strong nostalgia for 6 ex-Brits as it is the closest thing to a British fish and chips shop any of us has encountered in North America.

It may not look fancy but the food is great! I've had their tasty fish/salmon burger, fish & chips, amazing crab cakes, and excellent house salad. There's no waiting for seats and the place is cozy and quiet. I'm sure if they ever re-branded and made it more "trendy" business would be great but that also means more $$ passed to the diners. Please support these neighbourhood/local Kerrisdale eats before they’re all gone!

Service was so-so. Ambience - not great. Restaurant is looking very tired - broken chairs, dismal wall decor. Our table was sticky - hadn't been wiped.
