Our first time visiting this newer restaurant/pub/bar in Pt. Ruston was a mixed bag. The food and drinks were good, the initial service was not a good impression and the table service hit/miss but friendly and working hard to make our dining experience a positive one. When we walked in, there was one family waiting to be seated and no one at their host station. No one was in the entry to greet us, sign us in/take and confirm our reservation information, explain how the validated parking worked. Even with multiple staff members coming into/through the general area (they could see the entry and all the people waiting), it took 5-10 minutes for staff to begin dealing with the multiple parties of people waiting to be seated. Could be that this was a training issue or a short staff issue. Regardless, there should always be staff at the front desk to meet/greet and get customers in queue for seating. I hope they are able to iron out the glitches as this would be a very good place to come when visiting/dining at Pt. Ruston. The menu is varied (both drinks and dining) and there are both vegetarian and gluten free options.

The oysters were uneatable. The salad dressings were thick and awful. The salad was boring. With no one in the place the service was slow and unconcerned about our needs or comfort. The noise level was hollow and the feeling was cold. The menu was boring. The only good was a variety of beer to choose from.

This was are 1st time eating here and I can say I have never had such amazing customer service. Are Serever bent over backwards for us and we will definitely be back.

The girl who sat us seemed pretty high and moved like a slug in winter. While every other restaurant in the area was packed this place had open seating. I should have know! The waiter took forever to come to our table and didn’t seem to want to be at work. We ordered our food etc, it took FOREVER to arrive. While we waited she did not refill our drinks or check on us. Food was ok, nothing I have to go back for. The worst part was the noise level, high ceilings, cement floors and noisy people! Had to leave early cause we couldn’t take it anymore. Of Course getting our check was a trick!

We’ve come here before and had a great experience. This particular time however, we arrived and were not greeted by anyone. We stood by the sign that read “please wait to be seated” and nobody arrived. We sat ourselves in the bar (where there is still table service)... and still nobody offered to help us. We ended up leaving and did not dine here. When we’ve been here before it’s been great and we’ve had a lot of fun. We wanted to try their dinner because we’ve only been for drinks. It just didn’t work out that night. We would still come back. We’ve heard good things about their food and it’s a very fun place to dine. We understand things happen.

The halibut was GREAT. Only downside was the cooks left the stickers on my fresh vegetables when they cooked it. However, the waiter was on it. She offered me something else, apologized, even gave us a discount. She was also very empathetic. I will return.
