Fantastic restaurant! We had a wonderful lunch, the food was amazing (there is so much tempting seafood & fish available on the a la carte menu along with specials… it was difficult to choose!).The setting is beautiful and the staff were perfect - attentive, friendly and so helpful. We will definitely be back again soon… this is the best restaurant we’ve been to in Rochester.

Received a warm and friendly welcome. Was quite warm in there, even with the doors open, and a kind waitress moved the fan nearer to our table which made a huge difference and I was no longer melting! The food was excellent, as always; well presented, flavoursome and generous portions. If you are a dessert person, then check out the desserts before ordering a starter, as I wish I had! Lobster and steak are fairly expensive but most of the menu choices are reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for. Staff were attentive and professional.

We went for my birthday and I can honestly say this was by far the best seafood restaurant I have been to We will 100% be coming back

We have been there before and it was good we went Sunday and the food was poor they even admitted it by amending our bill but I don’t think that is good enough prawn cocktail was not a prawn cocktail it was bland and only had prawns and rocket absolutely disgusting

This was our first visit to Fish at 55 and will certainly not be our last! We went for breakfast for my birthday and we were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very pleasant. Our meal was piping hot and delicious - we both had the Omelette Arnold Bennett, also the Champagne Colada was spot on too :-)

Our third visit. We had a window table which was appreciated. Disappointed that the fixed price menu hadn’t changed since our previous visits. Food was fine although vegetables were on the firm side of al dente. Another party arrived and were sat at the next table. The diners seemed to be known to the staff and the conversations were intrusively loud. We only wanted water to drink- the bottle provided was £5 which we felt was very expensive. Probably won’t return until the food offer changes.

We only went to Fish@55 last week but decided to go again this week rather than cook a roast! We booked online, arrived on time and as usual, everything was great. Mussels were the best I have ever tasted. They really were exceptional. Hubby enjoyed the sardines starter from the specials board and I had the pork belly option for a change (feels odd eating meat in a fish restaurant but it was just what I fancied!) Pork belly was also delicious and the mash was to-die-for! Cheese board had better/more crackers than previously, but they omitted the brie which was a bit disappointing - we had double cheddar instead!

A good AND affordable fish restaurant is hard to find but Fish at 55 is exactly that. No seaside town should be without a restaurant like that.
