Been to First and Vine 4 times now. Never disappointed. Great spot.
Very surprised by the creative meal choices and thankful for the unique experience.
Loved the casual uncoursed approach, all great food , good beers really nice concept. Was chatting to guests left and right.
This place is by far one of my favorites. We love bringing our friends and family here to have a wonderful culinary experience in the heart of Airdrie.
A new find for us! We love it! We like to bring our friends and family to experience how wonderful it is!
We went in for supper for our 25th wedding anniversary. Made reservations, sat outside on the patio. It was a lovely evening, great patio, prompt, friendly, attentive service. Delicious food, cold drinks, very little wait time, all in all a wonderful evening.
As per usual the food was great. Although my wife ordered the Gnocchi and was not impressed. I had the flat bread and it was fantastic. We did notice different servers this time and kind of missed the ones who were there before. The new ones seemed kind of disorganised. Overall the food here will keep me coming back. Its a great little place to go with great food and beverage options.
This is the 5th or 6th time since being relaunched that we dined here. It was by far the poorest quality food wise and service knowledge wise unfortunately. The items we ate were not to the level we had come to look forward to. The mussels were overly bland with the bacon appearing and tasting almost raw with a boiled lack of flavour? The appetizer of cheese fondue was overtly sweet due to the caramelized onions I realize, but the sweetness was far more then I expected. The value overall was not good for a couple drink selections and the appetizers mentioned. The other items were great...carpaccio and dates. Dessert was exceptional as well.
We always love coming to first & vine. We are never disappointed. The food is always amazing!
It was a really nice evening. The food was great. Beautiful old house!
It was a fabulous meal. I ordered the lamb steak which was seasoned beautifully and cooked so perfectly where it was tender. My husband got their burger which we’ve heard so much about and it lived up to its’ reputation for sure. Our server was pleasant. The vibe was relaxed. Prices were fair for what you got. We will definitely go back. Thanks for making my birthday dinner great!
We made a reservation as it is a nice summer evening and we thought it might be busy even though it was mid week. We were the only people in the restaurant so it was a bit awkward. For was ok. I had heard such good reviews that I guess I had high expectations.
The chocolate dessert was outstanding! Great atmosphere, Great service.
Fantastic food! The flatbread was amazing! We will be back for sure!
I’m always happy to bring people who have never been. It’s always delicious and never disappoints!
We decided to take our daughter and son-in-law out to celebrate their July 14th wedding anniversary early because of Stampede madness. We made reservations for Wednesday July 4. We were seated on the second floor.
We got lucky because it was Wine Wednesday - the wine was half price. Our first bottle was a white Italian wine - Collefrisio Estate Pecorino ($60). It had a floral finish which enhanced the fusion of our selected food. The 2nd bottle was an Argentinian Malbec - UMA ($55). It tasted so good we thought it should be called Yummy.
With four of us ready to share the restaurant was perfect in allowing sample a variety of gourmet epicurean delughts. We tried the Saltspring Mussels with bacon, French Onion Cheese Fondue, the Mushrooms on toast, grilled asparagus, Market flatbread, Alberta Lamb Sirloin, and Herbed Gnocchi (my wife's favorite). Our server, Sandra said two of her personal favorites were the Mushrooms and Flatbread. When we returned home we would close our eyes and recapture the unbelievable flavors
We shared two desserts: Creme Brulee and S'mores. Both were outstanding
Food and service were amazing!
Overall the food was okay, certainly not anything outstanding. We shared several appetizers and we liked about half. Duck wings were VERY salty and we had the Cheese board the meat was very watery and when we mentioned it to the server it was shared that was the 2nd complaint they had received and that they were going to take it off the menu. The only thing that was offered to us was dates as a replacement when we refused nothing was done.
An amazing restaurant.. my new favorite place to go. There is not one bad thing I can say about First & Vine. Go and you will not be disappointed. Thanks Kate for the great service.
First Time ....Can't wait until next time! Food was great, hot fresh, super combination of flavours. Olive tamponade even great for non-olive lovers.....
Really enjoyed the food, it was awesome. Had a great Rose from Spain as well. Would definitely return.
We were celebrating a milestone birthday, & it was noted in the online reservation through OpenTable. Unfortunately, there was no effort made to make the lunch special. Even after I reminded the server about the occasion, no effort was made. I have gone to First & Vine numerous times and this is the first disappointment I have experienced while dining there.
Never a disappointment at First & Vine, always great service and great quality of food!
We love spending our evenings at first and vine. The food is amazing and the menu changes seasonally. The atmosphere is quiet and genuinely caring. We completely recommend this restaurant
Family dinner. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
Great date night spot in Airdrie. Would have hit the patio if the weather would have cooperated. One of our favorites.
Awesome food! One of the few restaurants in Airdrie with an original menu. Good value for the care put towards each plate. The service was excellent. This place is quaint saying that, tables are pretty close together but overall charming. We will be back!
This was a lovely choice to celebrate my husband's birthday. The complementary champagne was such a thoughtful gift and a nice touch. The food was delicious and we will definitely be returning as we thought it is one of the best restaurants in Airdrie.
It’s a great little place in Airdrie. Something you don’t expect in a neighbourhood restaurant. Very good food. Well thought out limited menu. The quality of the food and service are fantastic. Minor tweaking that would make the place even more special. 80’s music, which I love, doesn’t quite fit the personality of the place. Pipe in music that’s a little more conducive to evening dining ambiance. The seating is in keeping with the quaint Victorian house look but After a while the bench seating start to become a bit uncomfortable. Again just a minor personal preference.
I had the pork belly sandwich PBLT it was delicious. Serving size was just right. Finally, sign of a good restaurant is a creative dessert selection, and they don’t disappoint. I had the Earl Gray Creme Brûlée and my partner had the dancing goat cheese cake. Both very good.
Overall very good place and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
Went there for Sunday brunch for a business meeting and had a gentleman visiting from Mexico who couldn’t stop raving about the food. We sat out on the garden patio, which is very private. He was so impressed with the food and ambiance he took a bunch of business cards to give out to other business acquaintances he knew in Calgary. Never a disappointment with this hidden or not so hidden gem anymore :)
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We'll be back again, would love to try their brunch next time.
Birthday lunch on the patio on a gorgeous summer day. The apps, the mains and desserts were all excellent. Of particular note, I order creme brûlée at every opportunity and the offering at First and Vine was among the best I have enjoyed.
The only annoyance, the patio chairs became rather 'firm' by the end of the experience. Cushions would be a great addition.
It’s been awhile since we have had a
Chance to go out as a couple and first and vine did not disappoint- the food was first rate and the service was awesome a very good time was had - excellent value as well
Received a gift card from our children at Christmas and finally went for my husband’s birthday. We were very pleasantly surprised at the amazing flavours that came through in everyone of the plates that we ordered. Definitely a place we would come back to.
I have been to first and vine before , but this was my first visit for brunch . I took my mother there for mother’s day brunch. We were greeted with a smile and asked our preference for seating . We sat out on the patio as it was a beautiful day. Our server Jessica was pleasant, informative, helpful, and took the time to genuinely talk to to us ! Her service was top notch , professional all the way . Chef Michael also did not disappoint, his eggs benny were magical and cooked perfectly! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone . Great job first and vine staff ! Keep it going and don’t change a thing !!
I took my mom to First & Vine for Mother’s Day lunch and we sat on the patio. The service, food, patio - the whole experience was lovely! I’ve celebrated a few special occasions at First & Vine and I’ve never been disappointed!
Great food. Staff excellent for recommendations. Loved it.
Amazing, incredible food! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. I love this restaurant.
Did not like at all. Wine was way too much money for what you get. Food was not good and waitress dropped and broke wine glasses in front of us Ask three times what we would like and waited and waited for our bill until we went downstairs to get it. Very disappointed for my birthday
We enjoyed the entire experience of dining at First and Vine. The food was fantastic, a very nice selection of small plates - the rib eye was delicious!! We loved sharing the dishes as we all got to sample several choices from the menu. The wine list was varied and our choices went well with all of our selections. Will definitely go again!
