About this restaurant

  • Great for creative cocktails
  • Great for scenic views
  • Great for happy hour
Perched above Pioneer Square, Firn at Populus pairs skyline views with a creative and delicious cocktail menu. Drinks are ingredient focused, carefully concocted, and draw inspiration from the transitional nature of our environment and the concept of water and its transition through the phases of the water cycle. The food is a simple offering that compliments the cocktail program and designed to be enjoyed with friends. The food offerings are centered on the craft of preservation with a focus on capturing the region’s produce, meats and fish in peak season, then pickling, canning and preserving to serve throughout the year. With an open-air setting and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect destination for good drinks and great company.
Firn welcomes guests 21-years and older.

Service needs some refining. Lack of awareness, checking in, and ‘reading the room.’ Cost does not match level professionalism and consistency. I was a party of 3 and there was an undisclosed 20% auto gratuity. I have a feeling that servers dont care much since they know they will get a decent tip regardless.

Drinks were interesting by description bit tasted either too bitter or too sweet. We went at 9.30pm and it was too dark to see anything or enjoy the view and they just didn’t provide many lights. I’m guessing they were going for a moody nighttime vibe but it was straight up too dark. A little more light would have been good so I could see more of the decor. The music from the DJ was so loud that my friends had to sit with our heads leaned way into each other in order to hear ourselves. We had a drink (which took a long time to get) and decided we wanted to go elsewhere for food (no food at all not even nuts) and a better more non-pretentious vibe.

I made the reservation two weeks in advance, and when I got there, we had the worst table in the house. Literally in the hallway by the check-in desk. To their credit, when I asked if we could be moved, they did find another table and move us outside about 20 minutes later. The decor and feel of the place is beautiful. The views are OK for a rooftop bar. Most of your view is the side of a building, but you have a peekaboo view of the space needle and a partial view of the stadium. We only ordered one food item, but it was very good

My boyfriend and I live across the street in the Wave we love the fact we can go to an upscale restaurant hotel bar and relax without it being noisy. Also we don't have to travel downtown where it is hectic or take a bus or light rail we don't drive and having this rooftop bar attracted served upscale guest from out of town or business personal. We love the cocktails very unusual with shaved ice in the green acres and the week had some hamburger sliders

Great view, cute trendy vibes, and good drinks. Food unfortunately was so disappointing. Clearly store bought and repackaged and we still waited almost an hour to get our food (on a Tuesday). The staff did at least comp our food for the wait which was nice, but with a little more effort on the menu this place would be great.

Very nice spot - great views of the city. Great pre-game spot before the game that wasn't too crowded. Drinks were good, limited food options - at least on the bar menu, but service was good. It was a bit warm on the patio in direct sun but sounds like they are getting some umbrellas that will fix that. Overall recommend - another nice spot to checkout when you are going to a game.

The food was not great, drinks really normal… price well normal I think but tot relate to quality and presentation. The service was good, even when they did not have my lounge prepare (I did my reservation 2 weeks prior the event) but at the end they manage to sit us in the right place.

I almost want to rate this 1 star so no one comes here…to keep it to ourselves! This place is what seattle needed. It felt like I was finally in a vibrant city like Chicago, Miami, SF, and NY. Great vibe and cocktails and views. Loved it.
