About this restaurant

  • Great for happy hour
  • Great for scenic views
  • Lively
Perched above Pioneer Square, Firn at Populus pairs skyline views with a creative and delicious cocktail menu. Drinks are ingredient focused, carefully concocted, and draw inspiration from the transitional nature of our environment and the concept of water and its transition through the phases of the water cycle. The food is a simple offering that compliments the cocktail program and designed to be enjoyed with friends. The food offerings are centered on the craft of preservation with a focus on capturing the region’s produce, meats and fish in peak season, then pickling, canning and preserving to serve throughout the year. With an open-air setting and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect destination for good drinks and great company.
Firn welcomes guests 21-years and older.

Firn was such a fun bar! The view was incredible, and the drinks were impeccable. Reasonably priced drinks given the quality. We had a big group and the staff at Firn went above and beyond to make our experience great. Impressive given they only opened a week ago! Will be coming back for sure.

New roof top bar at a new hotel. Still lots of kinks needed to work out in terms of services. Very confusing how to reserve an outdoor seating. They only take reservation for a party or 6 or more. Otherwise would be at least an hour if a wait. We reserved a spot for 6 people and when we got there.. they said they couldn’t accommodate outdoor seatings, so we would just have to see. When we got up there and there was an outdoor table with 6 chairs. We asked to have that, and they said no because it has been taken. We were seated in a lounge instead, which was nice. We were there about 1.5 hours, and this whole time, the outdoor 6-person table was open with nobody using it. Cocktails are good. Servers are good.. Food ok. Customer service and reservation policy could use an improvement..

Great cocktails, love the spin each bartender puts on the classic drinks I’ve ordered. Lively crowd, beautiful setting. This will be a hotspot this summer!

A beautiful space with delightful people and delicious food and cocktails. It’s a space that seems perfect on a rainy or sunny day, with the skylights and moody natural wood and plants everywhere. This roof top deck will be a hot spot in the summer and is a welcome addition to the already vibrant bar scene in Pioneer Square.
