The best bartenders in Park City, and the food is also outstanding.
Delicious food and great service, even by PC standards!
Awful service. Absolutely terrible. We were seated much past our reservation. The server was efficient in bringing the first round of cocktails (for a 4 person table). Server took our full order. 2 of the 4 appetizers never arrived. The 2nd course dish was missed. Then our entrees arrived much later, all by a “runner” and not our server. By this point, every single member in our party (keep it mind it’s only 4 - 2 males and 2 females) have all been empty on drinks for 30+ minutes, with no visit from our server. The server finally arrived to check on how our entrees were once they arrived. For the price and the “prestige” of this restaurant, it was an ABSOLUTE disappointment.
Zero apologies were given either. Our party is a very very mild, respectful group and was still incredibly disappointed.
Service and food were top notch
Dined in the bar in the basement. Cozy & awesome atmosphere. Aaron was awesome! Had the Elk, which was so tender, you could cut it with a fork! will be sure to return next time in PC!
so good, great atmosphere, attentive staff and friendly service, with outstanding dishes and delicious food and drinks
We enjoyed the restaurant during the Christmas Holiday arguably the busiest time of the year, so service while good was impacted by the sold out zoo conditions. Food was incredible, and clearly the Chef is masterful at flavor palates and his team’s execution was good. All the food was delicious and proper temperatures. The consensus favorites were the Wagyu Bavette steak and the Mushroom and Zucchini appetizer with cashew cheese. Never heard of cashew cheese but it was like a bed of mash potatoe like cheese goodness with assorted wild sautéed mushrooms and thin “zoodles” on top. It was the bomb. The gem lettuce salad was our second course and then the steak. Which was perfectly charred on the outside to a dark coal colored black crust and a lovely medium rare pink center. Thinly sliced and was an Absolutely perfect bite.
French cheese cake was a delish dessert. Back to service the waitress loves the menu and pushed to some good stuff, we loved her enthusiasm for the chef’s creations. Also handled the wine list very well. The bus staff and others pitched in and the table was always perfectly cleared and water filled, which in Park City it essential. Will recommend to my friends and go back again. Great addition to the Main Street! Good job chef!!
We ate two dinners at Firewood, the first in the upstairs dining room and the second in the downstairs. Service was good and attentive. Both rooms were attractive and warm. Downstairs was darker and more intimate. Prices were extraordinarily high, and I live in DC, so that says something. This was a common experience in Park City: unjustifiably high prices for food and drink. All of the meals we ordered at Firewood were good, but in fashionable restaurants in DC they would have cost between $28-$40. Firewood charged $77 for a mediocre-quality Wagyu steak. The preparation was fine; the quality of the meat was inferior. The chicken entree was priced at $44. Chicken. At least the portion sizes skewed larger. The first courses were fairer in the sense that the portions were suitably sized and priced. Bison carpaccio, wild mushrooms, and smoked trout were standouts.
Memorable cuisine, creative, healthy, and utterly delicious. Don’t be put off by the wood fire concept. Flavors were quite varied and a variety of cooking levels on the wood fire grill allow for great variation. The trout toast appetizer was amazing. The salmon best ever. Loved the olive oil cake!! Everything was perfect! Our waiter was attentive and on top of everything without being at all intrusive. It will be our first choice in Park City when we visit again
We loved everything about our meal at Firewood. It was a wonderful ambience, the service was attentive and responsive, and the food was exceptional. We met one of the owners, and we could tell how invested she was in our experience. I highly recommend Firewood for a delicious meal in Park City
Certainly one of the top 3 restaurants in Park City. Great Food, Great service.
Overall best meal, service, atmosphere while visiting Park City's best rated restaurants. This is a 5 star!!!
Sat our party 30 minutes after our reservation time and that was only after my wife asked how much longer, reply we’ll “your table is not ready” giving the presumption that we had a specific table. All tables that seated 6 were the same. Waitress pleasant but restaurant appeared to be under staffed. Entrees arrived at 9:30
Good meal but not worth the price. Better off at Riverhorse
Amazing food and very cool atmosphere but small portions at a high price. I don’t mind the small portions when the quality is amazing, but just be aware.
10/10 in every way. Props to Greg and Vasi. They truly made it a memorable visit.
Great new menu. I got the duck, which was delicious. The chef was kind enough to send out some tastes while we awaited our appetizers. Speaking of appetizers, the burrata is an all time favorite! Nice people, fun place, great evening!
Firewood is a great place for a date or night out with someone special. I was impressed by the lighting, art, ambiance, and food!
Delicious food with phenomenal service and attention to detail. A truly perfect meal and experience!
An exceptional dining experience as usual. Firewood is always our first choice!
Amazing dinner. Our waiter Shu was incredible and the food was superb. 5 stars!
Firewood was outstanding in every way. If you are looking for a special evening then Firewood is the perfect choice!
We are locals, and this was the best dining experience we have had in town in a very long time. The service was attentive and efficient. The busing staff were prompt and not overzealous. The servers (I say in the plural because I observed waiters at other tables interacting with their guests) were warm and friendly, but professional-thus, completely aware of all of their responsibilities. They actually seemed to enjoy being at work. The Chef/Owner himself, delivered two of our courses and noted that I nearly licked the first course plate of the most pillowy gnocchi I can remember eating. It wasn't one of those weird chef table greetings-"how do you like your food?"....He acted like a host- as he owned the place.
Perfectly made Old Fashioned, tender lamb with thoughtful and delicious accompaniments, perfectly prepared salmon with thoughtful seasonings, Insane Olive Oil cake with homemade pistachio ice cream/lemon. Nothing was over sauced or heavy or over seasoned...as can be the case at many restaurants.
Overall perfect evening out without the kids (although this restaurant is perfectly accommodating for kids, large groups and families alike).
Everything we tasted at Firewood was superb !
We went for Park City’s dine o bout and we thoroughly enjoyed the menu choices
I would say with appetizers , entree and dessert we were stuffed ! Enjoyed the view on the wood fired kitchen . Excellent service ! Glad we tried it ... will go back when we are in Park City !
Renee and Brian were great.
We loved everything!
Trout app, burrata, scallops, the steak with potatoes and goat cheese and topped off with amazing dessert.
Trout toast is absolutely best trout dish I’ve ever had.
Lamb chops and salmon were delicious. Highly recommend this place. Great ambience, service and value
Nice place. Great food and great service.
As you move though wood floors and leather the atmosphere is calm and comfortable with leather seating with a back drop on a kitchen that is only separated by an old style french glass curtain. You get to witness the fires blazing in the background! My wife Sarah and I had the scrumptious Trout Toast, the savory Mushroom Gnocchi and the sushi grade seared and grilled to perfection Salmon and the generous portion Lamb Shoulder with Beets and carrots served in herb sauce...yumm.. Both were cooked on an open fire! Even the olive oil cake desert was carefully toped with (I'm guessing) a pistachio ice cream..wooow. Sarah and I have been to 9 high end restaurants in the beautiful town of Park City and we vote the Firewood as the best over all Taste, presentation, and ambiance!
This is absolutely, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Park City! And there are many to choose from. From the moment you walk in, the staff is warm and welcoming, the atmosphere hits all the right tones of chic and rustic. The table for two is amply sized with plenty of space for all of the wonderful food offerings! The food was fabulous, several chef tastings including potatoes driven down to Utah by a solo potato farmer and cooked to perfection, lamb, salmon and a pumpkin desert with pistachio ice cream. Thank you to Chef John, Renee, April and the entire staff for making my Birthday celebration one to remember!
This was our third dinner and they never let you down.
Another fun and excellent experience at Firewood. Outstanding food and service throughout the meal. One of my top two Park City Old Town restaurants.
Good, but not better than most local fine dining restaurants and way overpriced in comparison
Wonderful restaurant with amazing service. Absolutely make an effort to eat here!
I am so glad we came to this restaurant! Came here for our anniversary/birthday dinner and could not have had a better experience! We will definitely be coming back here again in the near future. The flavors of the firewood steak is something I've never tasted before, it is divine!
Made my reservations on OpenTable, and was able to walk right in and the hostess was expecting us. This restaurant is beautiful! It was very well decorated, the music was at a perfect level, there were a lot of people there, but we were made to feel like they were expecting us. We were walked right to our table, and greeted by our server. We didn't have to wait for anything! The food was incredible! One of the best places we've come for steak in a really long time... We also got the charcuterie board for an appetizer. Five stars all around! It was so delicious, and the price was actually pretty good for the quality of the food that you're getting. I was very impressed, and I will definitely make sure to put this on my top spots to come when I visit Park city!
Our server Shu made the evening memorable!
Creative cuisine, great service, great ambience: who could ask for anything more?
Great service and food.😀
We are so fortunate to have Firewood in Park City. Having arrived from one of the best restaurant towns in the world there aren't many places in Park City to eat at with that great pizzazz that we are accustomed to and Firewood satisfies us every time!
Fantastic experience at Firewood. Food was amazing, ambiance was perfect, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely return!
The food and service were outstanding . We had a table near the glass wall that separates the dining area from the kitchen so we could see everything being prepared on the big fire grills. I thought it would be a steak house experience but I could not have been more wrong. The menu has a wide array of dishes that were all excellent. We especially enjoyed the steak, scallops and crab cake. We will definitely be dining here again.
I have had the pleasure of dining at Firewood many times over the last two years and it is consistently an enjoyable and memorable experience. The food options, quality and preparations are always pleasing, and the service is outstanding! I highly recommend Firewood for any occasion.
