The restaurant was closed. Disappointing to say the least.
Please remove this restaurant from your site! It is closed, as stated in numerous reviews, which I unfortunately did not read before going there before a show in the pouring rain and had to figure out where to go for dinner .
We showed up on time for our 5:30 reservation and all of the doors were locked, no lights on, no staff. Our party had to scramble to find dinner elsewhere before the broadway play.
I confirmed the reservation 24hrs in advance, there was no indication that the restaurant would be closed.
Be sure to call the restaurant when booking with OpenTable to confirm your reservation. Who knows how many other restaurants are out of business? OpenTable doesn’t!
They’ve closed. Multiple groups arrived for dinner as we stood there trying to figure out what was going on. Not sure why Open Table is still taking reservations for them. If you’re headed to see a show at Eccles Theatre book elsewhere for dinner beforehand.
They are closed, stop taking reservations! We were lucky, Martine’s was able to squeeze us in and we were well taken care of.
This restaurant has closed for business. Which Open Table had an easy way to report closed businesses before arriving and having to make other last minute plans.
The restaurant was closed so I'm curious as to why it's still on your website.
Seriously? The restaurant has closed down and we never were notified! Had to scramble for a place to eat!
This place is closed and not in business
Had a reservation thru Open Table at 6:00 on Oct 12. Got there at 5:45 and found that this restaurant was closed. Would have been nice to know this ahead as it was hard to find a table at another restaurant in downtown on a Saturday night before a concert at 7:30!
This restaurant has closed their doors for good. Happened end of Sept or beginning of Oct. Imagine our surprise showing up for dinner, and the doors were locked and the lights were off. The weird thing is the ability to make reservations through Open Table for a shuttered restaurant, even though they had closed a couple of weeks before.
We made a reservation and showed up only to find out they were closed. We met several others at the door with the same circumstances
when we arrived the place was dark and empty. Doors were locked and there was not a soul in sight.
We made a reservation and drove all the way to downtown and come to find out they where closed no sign on the door nothing.
Had reservation but they were closed
We made a reservation, which was confirmed, drove an hour to get there, paid for parking, only to find out the restaurant was closed. Closed during their normal business hours with no notification as to why.
I made A reservation and they weren’t even open? No one called or followed up to say the restaurant was closed.
We had a reservation for 730pm on Tuesday October 8th. Made the reservation same day, and when we showed up THEY WERE CLOSED.
Never go to this place
It’s closed! Somehow they’re still taking reservations.
Great place! That was their last night. Closed for good on 10/1/19....
Restaurant was not open.
A nice little gem in a not very visible location. There pizzas are excellent
Food was adequate. Server forgot to add sausage on our pizza order. Caesar salad was below-par. Service was extremely poor, not attentive nor professional. Dress code for staff is extremely sloppy and unkept. Would not recommend.
I like this restaurant very much. On our night at dinner, the wait people seemed over burdened and one more employee would have helped. Perhaps someone didn't show up. Otherwise, very nice.
Low key restaurant with excellent food.
The food is good- expensive though. The venue is small and the wait staff unfriendly. The only reason I would recommend this place is because it is close to Eccles theater.
We made a reservation to celebrate a friend’s marriage and when we showed up it was dark inside and all locked up. No sign on the door. No phone call canceling our reservation.
Great service I loved it
Food has always been delicious! My only gripe is that the tables are placed length wise so is not easy to speak across a long table. Could they be turned sideways? This would also make it easier to share an appetizer and not have to reach so far. Thanks!
Pay in cash. I keep getting charged twice on my credit card. Love the food, people but I don’t like paying twice for one dinner.
Best pizza in town! And excellent house made pasta. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a pre-theatre or anytime fabulous meal.
The decor was cold and sterile. They offered exotic cocktails but had run out of rum at five PM. The service was perfunctory.
Great place. Try it!
The food and service have always been good, every time I have eaten at Fireside, which has been several times. I was disappointed they were out of a menu item we wanted, as well as several of the beers listed on the menu, and the ice cream machine was out of order. However, I liked the beer our server suggested. I was surprised Fireside wasn't busier on a Saturday night, but understand busiest nights are when there are performances at Eccles, and suspect lower patronage is directly related to Eccles performances. I like Fireside a lot, and hope Fireside can find a way to be profitable enough to be able to have menu items, maintain variety and keep the soft cream machine operating. Good luck!
The pizza was great, we only got the Superior, which is just pepperoni, but it was delicious. The only negative comment I have is I ordered the margarita, and it was terrible. It definitely did not taste like a margarita.
SALT, SALT, and more SALT. Don’t get me wrong, I am a salt lover and do not hesitate to use it, however; this amount of salt made the food inedible. Seriously, how do you ruin a pizza with salt...they managed to. There were 4 of us at the table and everyone agreed. My husband, who has never been a picky eater, ordered the pork belly and could not even choke it down due to the curry like substance that was not described as spicy hot yet was so hot that he even said, he couldn’t distinguish which was worse, the salt flavor, the overall flavor, or the overwhelming spice. That being said, we paid and didn’t complain but knew this place deserved a review to warn others to proceed with caution.
Excellent food and service
Absolute worst service anywhere, anytime. Hostess seated us quickly and it was downhill from there. It was as if we were at the invisible table. We were one of three tables and as others arrived we were ignored. Never even got a glass of water or a "hello" to acknowledge our presence. Other tables got water and their orders taken. We waited about 15 minutes and finally the waiter said something like, I'll be back. He was obviously irritated by our mere presence. Another few minutes and the hostess came over and asked if we had been helped. We said no and she went behind the wall we assumed to say something to the irritated waiter. We waited about another 30 seconds and left. I will never go back there and I know it won't matter because they seem to always be busy but it was a terrible experience for no reason.
Now that Fireside on Regent takes a reservation, it is an excellent place to eat before a show at the Eccles Theater. Both of our meals were excellent- creative, delicious, good portions and excellent combination of flavors. I had duck breast with kale, polenta and blueberries- cooked to perfection and my husband had pork shoulder with potato dumplings and we shared a salad. Excellent service.
