Wonderful ambiance, delicious food and excellent service. Never disappoints!
Will definitely come back.
We hadn't been to Firenze for awhile since we left the neighborhood.
We decided to try it again and were very happy with our meal.
I had gluten-free raviolis that were very tasty. Good serce.
Really enjoy. Excellent food and service.
Disappointed with restaurant. Prices too high. If I am going to spend that kind of money, there should be nice view, terrific ambiance, like some place on the coast overlooking the ocean or on San Diego Bay.
The food, service and ambiance was excellent! The portions were more than we had expected. Had to take some home. I believe the pricing was very fair and we will be making this one of our special occasion places. Highly recommend.
Firenze was fabulous as usual. A great dinner restaurant with friends!
Consistently good italian food . Weather permitting, choose the patio and be entertained by a musical duo.
Ohhh...the polenta! And Italian bread dipped in oil and balsamic sitting next to the fountain on the patio. It was wonderful.
We were there to celebrate Easter dinner. We were surprised to find the restaurant almost empty but it was only 5:30pm. The wait staff was very slow in serving us but the management was attentive to our comfort in the outside patio. Overall the food was very good as always but we were hoping for a little more upbeat evening. Music? Special dessert ? Flowers?
I’ve been there many times and have yet to be disappointed.
Terrific dinner and service! Would highly recommend.
This was a birthday dinner- specified in the reservation. No one even mentioned the birthday. It was embarrassing, and I had to apologize to my husband that they ignored him.
In addition, none of the happy hour pricing is available in the dining room. Although not called out on the website, you must sit in the bar to get even a $1 drink discount.
Just ok. Not great but not bad either. Portions were large & service was average. Would probably return but it wouldn’t be a favorite, go to restaurant.
Friendly neighborhood spot, attentive service, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. Great find!
Arrived with wife at the time we booked (9:45 PM) on a Saturday. Hostess barely greeted us and basically just said: "we are closing the kitchen in 10 minutes". That sounded inappropriate and we didn't feel welcome nor encouraged to order any bottle of wine (which we bought late at a liquor store and had it at home instead).
The waiter was great but did not make up for the inconvenience.
Food was OK. I had a Pasta with Vodka and Fungi Sauce that was filled with the cheap mushroom one can buy at Walmart. While ordering this simple plate I wanted to be impressed but it turns out I would be able to make a better plate at home with some sort of Shitaki or Enoki and not Portobello. Wife had an Eggplant Parmigiana which was OK as well but a little more decent than the pasta. Overall I found this place overrated and won't be coming back as per the way we were treated first place.
Loved the food, very homemade tasting. Great service. Bread was incredible.
This place is one of the most outstanding Italian restaurants in the entire San Diego area. A large and diverse menu with great dishes. This is our "go to" restaurant in North County SD, and we likely go there twice/month. Their pasta dishes, meat and seafood dishes are all first rate, with excellent portion size.
Overpriced food and very little portion size for the pricy tag that comes with the meal! Inattentive waiter. Too noisy! Ravioli was dry. Pasta sauce tasted like it was from a bottle. Not very “Italian” at all! Stuffy atmosphere!
The food and wine list is great here and makes this place worth coming. However, We were seated in a room off to side which was really cold. People were wearing their coats while dining. Then as it filled up, it got extremely loud and we could hear everyone’s conversations.
As always, the service from hostess to server was great. We were seated immediately at our reserved time.
Food quality is good and fairly priced. In spite of a large crowd, our service was timely.
I'll keep coming back.
Wait staff seemed interested only in getting us out of the restaurant.
We will never go back. Below average food and way over-prices. I’m happy to pay for value and this place is not worth it. Restaurant is tired and has not been remodeled in years. No energy or vibe.
Valentines Day Dinner
My favorite restaurant. The lasagna and Halibut special are always amazing!
Wonderful evening. Waived 2nd corkage fee - yay!
The lasagna was perfect. Veal Marsala could have been more tender, but was good.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Firenze and enjoyed the specials. The onion soup was very good and the cheese on the side enhanced the onion flavor. I enjoyed the grilled rainbow trout and my husband requested the lobster ravioli which wasn't on the menu but was on the online menu when we looked at it prior to our dinner. The kitchen honored his request. Our complimentary cannoli dessert completed our special meal. Mark was a very knowledgable and friendly waiter and the wine he suggested paired well with my entree.
Exceptional! My husband and I have been coming to Firenze for 20 years and we have no desire to go to any other Italian restaurant.
The butternut squash ravioli was delicious but something was wrong with the bed of spinach. It was bitter and stems were tough. Lobster ravioli was very good, but it didn't taste like lobster. Packaged bread sticks were stale. I also like to have a pizza option...there is none. House salad was very boring. I like the ambiance and outside patio is very nice if weather is warm, but the kitchen could use some help.
The food is without fail always very good. The service is excellent as well. You won't be disappointed. Take your appetite, the portions are large.
Food always good. Menu has a lot to offer. Only complaint this visit is we arrived for a 7:00PM reservation at 6:55 and was told it would be a while for our table as nothing was available. A few other groups were already waiting as well. When pressed for how long it would be, we were told at least 20 minutes. We opted to eat at a high top in the bar area. Still comfortable, but not what we had reserved.
We always enjoy our dinners at Firenze. Food is reliably very good.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Excellent wine selection to boot.
We celebrated Dad's 96th birthday at Firenze. They seated us at a quiet table that was easy to access. We all loved the food. Firenze gave Dad tiramisu with a birthday candle. We look forward to returning for Dad's 97th!
We’ve lived in California for ten years and this is by far the best Italian restaurant in north county San Diego! The bread was warm, and we share caesar salad both plates were chilled. Our waitress Christine was exceptional in every way. My mom had the special Halibut with vegetables and homemade pasta. I had the Pollo Scarpariello it was delicious. We celebrated moms birthday with tiramisu it was scrumptious.
We frequently go to Firenze and enjoy it. The food was great as usual but was very slow in coming up. Our waitress was very attentive but there just seemed to be a delay in getting the main course
Nice comfortable dining. Entrees well priced. Good serving portions. Suggest making sure your Open Table reservation is acknowledged. Mine was marked as a "no show". Open Table rectified with restaurant.
The food here is always good. My only suggestion is to increase the lighting as I could hardly read the menu!!
It was New Year’s Eve. And they shoul have told us that the dinner was a close and one price dinner.
