   Steak, Seafood, a burger or vegetarian meal, they have something for every palate. They have a full bar with specialty cocktails. This is a special restaurant at the half way point across the state of Illinois. Well worth the stop.

   This is impossibly the best restaurant I ever ever eaten. From April to October I’ve eaten at this restaurant twice a month since 2019 traveling from Texas to Michigan. Shout out to Sam he’s out with his back. I would say this is the best of the best of the best. Worth traveling from any point in the US to visit. Love you guys from Keene, Murray and our dog Donut

   Food was awesome. They're now adding a $4.50 service charge fee to all checks but the hostess didnt know what the charge went towards.

To help offset rising costs and maintain the quality of our ingredients and service, a 5% service charge is added to all checks.    We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Firefly because it’s the best restaurant in Effingham for such an occasion. Our waiter, Dylan was outstanding and the food was excellent. My wife had the salmon and I had the honey fried chicken.

   We had eaten here one other time and we planned our trip to Texas through Effingham to eat there again! It is a lovely place with geese, gardens and a pond with fish. The waitress was great, but the food was all way over "sauced." The salad was drenched with dressing and the Brussel Sprouts were swimming in sauce. On the plus side, they do not cook with seed oils!! The Cream Brulee was delicious!

   What a delightful restaurant! We were driving thru Effingham on our way home to KC. This restaurant rivals anything KC has to offer!! We stop here every time we drive to the east coast to visit family. It is the Bomb!!!

   The restaurant was so great! I loved the interior and outside with the pond and fish! The service and food were amazing! 1st visit and was super impressed we will be back when we are in the area again!

   I love the farm table idea that firefly does so well. Lots of tables were busy, but the noise level was low. Weight staff, Blake, had wonderful timing. The food was so delicious!

    Chefs take on the fried deviled egg was fantastic! They should definitely incorporate the spicy cheese component to something on the regular menu. Eggs Benedict on brunch menu featured 2 perfectly poached eggs and the perfect amount of Canadian bacon. Servers and kitchen worked together to stay on top of the busy crowd while delivering perfect dishes. We’ve been here a million times and will continue to chose Firefly Grill for great food, perfect atmosphere, and outstanding service. Firefly Grill had gourmet chocolates available by the box locally made by two of their Chefs! Definitely recommend Blackbird Chocolate Company from the stamped wax seal packaging to the flawless chocolates they are great for self gifting or gifting to others for any occasion!
