Nice restaurant with good food, although limited menu.
Great service. Free parking. Pleasant dinner.
Halibut Fish and Chips were the best. Service was outstanding and loved the hotel and restaurant ambiance.
Stopped for Sunday Brunch to celebrate our anniversary and it was great! Would highly recommend! 🙂🍾
Great food and entertainment!
Nice place for a special evening out. Expensive, but good. Not crazy about the seating however.
Our favorite thing of the evening was the guitarist/singer. He was the best solo singer I’ve ever heard in such a setting. The food was good. But the menu a little weird. Tasted good though.
Adored Abby from Texas!!
Our server was very sweet and did a great job. The food was excellent. Due to the pandemic, we requested outdoor seating and got it, it was just very noisy due to the busy intersection. The menu is extremely limited presumably due to short staffing as seems to be the norm currently.
The food is decent-ish hotel fare. Not great, but not bad, either... nothing to really write home about.
Some of the staff - maybe even a majority - were rather inexperienced, leading to some delays in checking in and getting seated, but our server was very much on the ball.
The big downside of this restaurant is the noise level. The room is echo-y and loud. Conversation is nearly impossible as everyone in the place is shouting to make themselves heard over the reverberating background noise. And to all of this, live music is added in the form of a piano-player / singer, who is a pretty good musician, to be honest, but way over-amplified and adding to the general din.
Overall poor service and poor food selection
Brandon, our server was very helpful. I wasn’t sure which Chardonnay to order so he brought over a taste of each. I had the Ahi tacos which was delicious. My husband ordered the Duck Confit which he enjoyed very much. The servers were attentive and personable.
Great food great service nice outdoor seating area.
Enjoyed the chef’s table experience, sat on the patio on a great evening. Server Abby did a wonderful job, explaining each dish and answering questions. You’ll enjoy the Firebrand.
Limited menu items, all food courses came out at the same time. Good just okay. Drinks good.
Kylan was our server and anticipated our needs. He even made some adjustments and allowed us to remain at our table to enjoy the local musican.
We really enjoyed our eating experience at Firebrand. It was a special Happy Hour night, so beers were only $4. We had the special appetizer of egg roles and they were delicious. Ordered the ahi tacos and they were outstanding. Topped it off with the Huckleberry ice cream dessert and it was probably one of the top desserts we have had. Our waiter could not have nicer. Overall, it was a very nice experience!
Catching up with dear friends.
Made reservation days prior- showed up with a revised menu that was short with not a lot of options. At 8:30 at night, no other options but fast food.
I ordered the duck… portion was one very small piece… everyone at the table commented on it. My husband ordered the steak… mash potatoes were served hard and cold. Also, ordered a soup and appetizers.. timing was terrible. The main dish came out immediately after the appetizer was served. We commented to the waitress who said the kitchen was having a hard time with timing due to the volume but the restaurant was not packed. Our server was very good.
Not good, not good at all.
Good food, little expensive. Had to wait 25 minutes over our reservation time as our staff wouldn't ask a party to leave after being there 2.5 hours. Everything else was really nice. Friendly staff.
We arrived at 7:19 for our 7:15 reservation and didn’t sit until nearly 7:35. Our table was clearly ready, though the hostess appeared to be preoccupied with other business functions and couldn’t attend to and seat us. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy and we were about to walk out, as we witness others doing, as too many minutes elapsed before our drink order was taken and served. Surprisingly, the appetizers came out on time, yet were subpar. The menu foresight is on point, though the execution simply wasn’t there. We passed on ordering an entree because the appetizers were mediocre and one of the two entrees, members of our party was considering, wasn’t available. I understand staffing is an issue, though only one of our issues was truly staff related. For the price, I expected more.
Upon check-in for a birthday dinner, the hostess told us the kitchen was behind and it would be a very long wait. The waitress then proceeded to list various dishes and items that were out of stock. When they brought our salad, they told us the lettuce had to be subbed because they ran out. They didn’t tell us about the sub before bringing the dish out and still charged full price. It was a disappointing birthday dinner and I definitely would not go back.
Good environment, but just okay when it came to food and experience.
The food was tasteless and the service was awful.
Great music and food on a Saturday night.
Lovely atmosphere, terrific menu. We had Pho, a Reuben sandwich, and a small seafood plate that had the most perfectly cooked not-quite-hard egg on it. We loved everything and will return for sure. Service was friendly and polite. The Firebrand just keeps getting better and better.
Great downtown location for walking around then, stopping in for a drink and a bite. The dining room is a bit sparce and seems to be more of a lounge and bar that serves food and, not a restaurant. That being said, the food was ecclectic. Everything we had was very good! Nice use of local ingredients.
Nobody greeted us so we had no direction, we were looking for a restaurant and actually it was the lounge we made reservations for which were not needed....service was ok, nothing special, food was ok, not hot cool and mediocre. ..the lounge itself was clean and pleasant, not alot of room but nobody around so it was quiet....
Food was ok, nothing special. Service needs some work. It is a seat yourself restaurant, which is fine, but we walked by 2 servers, front desk clerk, a barista, and bartender, not a single one gave us any kind of acknowledgement. They need to remember they are in the hospitality business.
This is THE venue not to miss in Whitefish! And if you are lucky enough to be there with local live music, you are in for a treat. The chef is creative, the well drinks feature strong brands, the beer selection is on point, the staff is friendly. We love the Firebrand and look forward to being back soon.
I expected more. It seemed like they were just waking up. Pretty dining room and food was good, but not amazing.
Nice ambiance, loved the fireplace! Breakfast was nice, enjoyed the local Huckleberry French toast!
What began as a shared birthdate with a friend and a gift certificate we won, has now turned into our annual celebratory tradition. It is fun to try different and tasty cuisine we love that our spouses would not care for! It's our yearly night of girls fun!
Staff has always been wonderful and we don't mind the free birthday dessert!
Had lunch with a friend at the Firebrand the other day. VERY small limited lunch menu. My chicken sandwich was just OK. Seated by the prime windows that overlook a most unattractive parking lot. Will not go back for lunch again.
Wonderful meal and service
I was somewhat disappointed in the service. It took a very long time to get our food and drink orders. My husband had to go to the bar to get my wine which was sitting in the service area for a long time. There was inky one server on which was definitely the issue. The restaurant/ lounge was very busy (it was a Saturday right before New Year's which is the busiest time of the season in Whitefish) so they could have had more servers on to help.
We enjoyed the amazing drinks and great food. The only thing I didn’t care for was the dessert. It was ok, but not as good as I was expecting.
We come to the Firebrand often for dinner before shows and concerts. It is an elegant, quiet place and great for people watching - both in the hotel lobby and on the street.
