Bethany was great
Food was just okay.
Ordered a filet, medium rare. Steak was bland and was dry, not moist. In addition, the side order, au gratin potatoes, also were bland. Having eaten at Firebirds in the past, was disappointed in my recent meal.
Always the best food at Firebirds and our server (Madison) was attentive without over doing it and her natural personality showed.
Great food Great service I drive 1hour to eat here
Great experience. Great food. Out of town family enjoyed dinner with us.
Food was excellent, as usual. Our server, Cera, was the best, great attitude and very attentive. We look forward to our next visit to Tucson. One other note, we left with an order of aged steaks available from their onsite butcher shop. Great stuff!
Always a pleasant evening when at Firebirds. Staff friendly and food delicious.
Excellent cuisine, service and atmosphere. Sergio has the ultimate culinary staff and the dining experience is truly Superior.
Not what I expected. The food was not as good as I hoped. My chicken was overcooked and tasted burnt. My friend ordered a rare steak and it was not rare, second round was better but still not rare. They even argued with her about it is rare. On the plus side, they comped her meal.
We love coming here. Unfortunately last night we ordered steak fries and we got tater tots. Had them change. My husband and I are allergic to tomatoes and our Durango Hamburger came out with tomatoes on it. Waitress was aware of our allergy. The Durango burger has never had tomatoes on it. Don’t understand why it did this time.
Normally I give an excellent review here for them, but with the goof ups I can’t.
All was great desert for birthday was not good. Food was great
Service was excellent. Food was delicious and plentiful.
The food was absolutely AMAZING!! I highly recommend Firebirds Wood Fired Grill. I honestly wish we had one in El Paso! The waitress was amazing and the manager on duty was so welcoming.
Can’t wait to go back to Tucson to eat at this establishment!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Tucson. On this visit our server didn't seem to like his job--he had a snarky attitude and spent quite a bit of time chatting up one of the female servers. I asked for a Margarita and told him how I wanted it made (got one last week and it was perfect.) Either he didn't bother to tell the bartender or the bartender made it like he wanted but it wasn't very good. My wife's steak was kind of tough and I said we were celebrating my wife's birthday when the reservation was made and there wasn't even a mention of it. All the other food was excellent as usual.
For the restaurant's sake, I hope these were not typical of the service others have experienced.
Without going into great detail, choose wisely. Ordered soup of the day & it was clam chowder. There was so much salt in it I could have floated in it. Sent back, no issue, not charged. The rest of the lunch was basically blah. Cheeseburger was very average (not a good representation of a steakhouse)& Salmon which was cooked properly but it needed a kick-start like teriyaki or mustard& brown sugar. Service was eminently adequate.
The hostess was able to seat us quickly. The table needed to be wiped down and our waiter took care of that quickly, Cameron was our waiter. Cameron was knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list. He checked on us and made sure anything we needed was taken care of. I will recommend Firebirds to my friends. We will probably request one of Cameron's tables on our next visit.
Service was fantastic. Food and drinks were served quickly. We will be going back soon.
20 minutes to get our drinks, 35 more minutes to get our meals and our appetizers were brought out after the entrees. We watched waitresses and waiters walking back and forth but not carrying anything. Several times drinks and food were brought to the wrong table or person. The manager apologized to us for the confusion but it was definitely a chaotic night.
Party of 6 at a round, great service and meal
Firebird has reliably good food in a pleasant and spacious setting. Our waiter (Eddie) was excellent - very attentive and patient. We had reserved to eat outside but because the patios do not have a roof covering, the rain forced us inside. I was very disappointed to be inside and if we hadn't been there with friends, we would have left. I was particularly annoyed that none of the staff wore masks. I am only hoping that the high ceiling and booth walls gave us some protection from the virus.
The Monday night half-price wine deal is a great bargain; it applies to glasses as well as bottles. However, the wine list at Firebird is disappointing; hardly any reds that are dry. Even the Chianti was fruit-forward.
To be honest, it was so crowded and noisy we left almost immediately after being seated. People were jam packed at tables and it just seemed like a super spreader event for MAGA folks. Staff were masked, thankfully, but so what? It was miserable..
Making reservations online mid-day Friday for that evening worked fine. Seating was prompt upon arrival. At one point we felt deserted by our server. Service was pleasant and attentive except for that once. Flavors of foods were average. They were out of my first choice of prime rib. On a Friday night, that seemed unusual. About $32 per plate, with drinks & tip, seemed a bit much for what we got. There were lower priced items on the menu.
The food was all delicious! Thank you for having the Impossible Burger for us vegans, and also our server was very good about letting me now what is and isn't vegan. My mom enjoyed her tortilla soup and mushrooms too. I was surprised our bill wasn't higher than it was, perhaps because my salad was done as a side substitution with the burger and my mom had 2 appetizers rather than an entree. But we both had drinks and it was only $40 before tip. It was Saturday night so the noise level was a bit high for my mom, but not as difficult to talk over as at some other restaurants. My only suggestion at the moment is don't remove the straw wrappers to put them in water, I prefer not to use one and minimize waste.
Delicious food good service nice atmosphere will definitely be going back
Wonderful birthday dinner for my husband (81). Waiter was fantastic. Very attentive. Because of Covid we had not been to Firebird. We also live an hour away. Menu had change some, but food was differently great. Hope to go again soon.
Food was very good . We all enjoyed what we ordered. I did tell waitress and hostess we were celebrating a birthday for one friend, but she didn’t offer a complimentary dessert like most restaurants do. Otherwise everything was fine
Service very slow and food was dry. No personal touch, even though we were celebrating a birthday.
The service was fine. The appetizers were good. The entrees were not good. Ribeye steak was rubbery and the sirloin (asked for medium rare and got medium well) was almost inedible. It was so mealy and not like any sirloin I’ve ever had. The burger was also way over cooked as well. I hate leaving a negative review since the hospitality industry is suffering but hopefully they can do better with the food. Half price bottles of wine on this particular night was a SUPER BONUS!
Great waiter except that he told us it was 1/2 price bottle of wine night and then when presenting our check he said he was mistaken and had to charge us regular price. Seems like he should have taken it to the manager to handle rather than putting it all on us. I would have asked to talk to the manager but we were out with new friends and I didn't want to make a scene.
Firebird used to be one of our places to go. Not anymore. They took away the trout dinner and the sesame encrusted salmon. Prices are up and selection is done. Our friends ordered the ribs. They were inedible.
Fantastic food, had steak and lobster. Very friendly professional funny waitress. Lobster was a bit salty but otherwise very good and the Raspberry crème brûlée cheesecake was to die for! Spinach salad was awesome.
Restaurant week special offer was wonderful!
My table with near the open kitchen. I had a perfect view of many servers and workers talking during my entire dinner.
Also, was disappointed in the dessert. The ice cream was not very good and the brownie was also not too good.
The filet was delicious and my husband loved the ribs.
We had a reservation for 6:30pm. We arrived at 6:00pm and were promptly seated. My prime rib dinner was excellent. The BLT salad was delicious also. I have been to this restaurant many times and the food is always great.
Outstanding service and a well balanced menu with great steaks!
Excellent all around!
Waitress was very attentive and nice
Waiter kind of rushed us out. Still was in the middle of eating already trying to box our food.
Really nice server, fabulous Cesar salad and wonderful value on restaurant week deal.
