Firebirds Wood Fired Grill - Charlotte - Southpark
The food was great, the service was great and being with my friend over great food even better!
Firebirds is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. The service, food, and atmosphere is truly the best. We ask for James to be our server each time we dine there. He is awesome!
Great birthday meal for my Mom and Tracy our service person was amazing!!!!
Food was tasty. Service wasn’t bad...
They did not honor our 8:00reservation. Telling us it would be a 20 minute wait. After my husband voices his displeasure, the manager opened another dining room. There were several people who’s reservations were not met. The server was very prompt took our drink orders and gave us our drink. We ordered food, my husband‘s steak was half grizzle and fat. It was inedible. My salmon was cold, it was not room temperature, it was cold. Because they were so busy we thought not to return our food. I don’t think I would revisit Firebirds in the evening because of their lack of professionalism
Great date night for folks tired of trendy. Professional wait staff, great food, and ambiance without raucous noise.
Dinner was absolutely wonderful. The service was beyond compare.
Excellent service, excellent food and an overall very pleasant dining experience!
Firebirds is consistently good. The salads are always fresh and the steaks are perfectly seasoned. They do larger, family style sides.
They also have an upscale kids menu; no frozen pizza here! My sons order ribs and steak.
We always enjoy dining here. They have a nice wine list and their signature Double Black Diamond cocktail is a sweet treat!
Very good experience, food was hot arriving to the table, drinks where on point. Waitress was very nice
Make sure you come in the entrance where the valet parking drop-off is located. Otherwise parking in the area is scarce. Overall the food was very good and the atmosphere nice.
Great food and service. Can’t wait to go again. Atmosphere is relaxed and chilled
We were seated upon arrival - no wait at all. Nice booth seating. Tables and booths are spaced well to provide decent privacy. Acoustics make keep the noise down but allow you to easily have private conversation. My ribeye was slightly saltier than I care for, but cooked perfectly to medium rare. The mashed potatoes were very good. Wife loved her veggie sandwich, but the cole slaw was completely dry - no dressing at all. Not sure if that was intentional or not. Had a fantastic bottle of pinot noir there that we are now looking for in stores.
Had a great meal!
We love this Firebirds. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxing. So glad we tried this location. The noise level at the Rae Road location is Horrible. You cannot hear what is being said clearly even at a table of four. The pit is the worst area to sit. Something needs to be done with the acoustics there. Several of our friends had stopped going because of this...thinking all locations were like that. We let them know about the Southpark location and we all enjoy going there.
Fairly regular visitor to Firebirds. Go to place with certain friends and very convenient to our home. Went on restaurant week and again several nights ago at last minute because of rib special and neither of us wanted to cook. Sat at table in middle of back section which is suboptimal for ambience and conversation but ran into old friends and may have missed them had we been in a booth. Food was excellent, quantity more tha adequate and service spot on. Turned out to be a great impromptu evening with my wife. Will continue to return regularly with anticipation of same experience.
The staff works well as a team. In my opinion that is the only way to provide great service.
The food was not very good. Prime rib was chewy and I got only a few grilled vegetables on the side. Plates were left on our table for a long time after eating. Overall just unsatisfactory.
We ate from the Queen's feast menu, and it was kinda mediocre. I had the prime rib which was okay ( i ate 1/2) but I was disappointed and my husband had the pork chops which he mentioned were good.
The food is consistently delicious. Steaks are perfectly prepared; veggies a little crunchy, which I like! And the cream brûlée cheese cake is yummy!!
Typically this is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte however we were there for a birthday and Queens feast week. I had seen the halibut in the special menu and really wanted to try it. Unfortunately the fish was not hot/warm, it was not moist like it should be and it had been over cooked because it was kinda hard. I was not impressed with the side item as well. The others in my party were ok with their food but not raving about it. The service was a little slow at first but she did get better as the meal progressed. Also My salad was drenched in salad dressing. So much I couldn’t eat it.
One of our favorite places to go for a nice dinner date.
First time going but it won’t be the last! Very good food!
Our waitress was very nice and respectful. She engaged in conversation with us and set up a friendly atmosphere.
The meal was perfection.
I told my wife and many others, the Honey Chili pork chop was undoubtedly the best pork chop I have ever eaten.
That’s saying a lot, I’m 69 years old and traveled
27 years eaten in thousands of restaurants all over America and Canada.
The only bad part of our meal was the Margarita my wife had was as close to terrible.
The sour mix didn’t impress either of us.
The manager talked to us and explained your process of making the mix.
He said others had problems with the taste as well
He gladly removed the drink from the bill.
My wife told him that was a terrible way to treat good tequila.
Great date location
Great service and food!! My husband and I first visit. We will definitely visit Firebirds Wood Fired Grill again!!
Food was good excellent. Prime rib cooked perfectly! Salad had a little too much vingarette dressing. Next time will get it on the side, but wasn’t told what dressing was being used. Did ask for more bread, but did not receive it.
Other than service being a little slow, meal was fine!
Extremely subpar. This was our first time here, and I had high hopes. My husband's steak was chewy, his steamed broccoli cold and crunchy, and my chicken small. We won't be back.
Just outstanding! Busy for restaurant week, but timely seating and speedy service on top of the great food.
Best salmon I have had anywhere. Also, the professionalism of the staff along with the great food resulted in a first class experience.
The food was okay. Personally outback makes a better steak. The fries were bland and unflavored. The servant James seemed to be very uninterested and providing the type of service that would cost me to want to give him a tip. He was competent but he was pretty boring and was not really social himself. The place is very dark. And it was very quiet which is okay. It was my birthday I told the waiter James is and there was nothing special done for my birthday. No cake. No ice cream. Not even a brownie. That's pretty bad.
Went with friends for Queens Feast. Superb service. Excellent selections from menu for the dining week specials and well prepared and presented.
Great food and excellent service! Loved it!
Consistently great meals and excellent service. I always make a reservation and have never had to wait, even on really busy nights.
Always been happy with our meals and service at Firebirds’s Southpark. Everyone very courteous and they see to it you have a pleasant dining experience.
Great service great salad great bread great potato
Had looked so forward to coming for the prime rib and was sorely disappointed. I must be the one person that has an aversion to the rub that you had on the prime rib. Then today I returned for lunch and got a fantastic steak sandwich with fruit. I think somebody poured a whole salt shaker on the steak. I will try one more time!
Ivy was an outstanding waitress!
We were all very pleased with our experience. The food and service was great! We’ll be back!
They were so great at firebirds... even gave me a cake for my birthday
