Firebirds Wood Fired Grill - Richmond - Short Pump
Was seated right away near the entrance. I was a single diner. Had to ask for bread, and iced tea refills. Food was good, but a tad on the cool side.
I will always remember Firebirds restauranti got engaged there that evening..and everything was perfect! I had a 9'oclock reservation but I arrived 2 hours early..they were able to seat me within 30 min.Drinks were good and the steaks were excellent...and she said Yes!!!!!
A little pricey
They were super busy. Service slow. Server was well spoken and pleasant. Mashed potatoes and veggies were awesome. But the kabob meat was inconsistent. One bite tender. Next bite tough. Not a lot of flavor.
Service was great since we made a reservation. However, as we waited for our table we about 20-30 patrons turned away because of an announced 2 hour wait. Once we were seated we noticed the restaurant was only about half-2 thirds full. We were told there was a shortage of staff. Hmm, wonder why, on a Saturday night?
Also, my husband got the Steak tenderloin salad which is usually one of his favs. This time, the steak was real tough with lots of fat. I had Salmon salad and could barely find the dressing nor any other ingredients besides lettuce. We didn't say anything, not wanting to complain. Our waiter was great. This is usually our splurge/go to place the food was just satisfactory. Just my 2 cents.
Best thing I had was the pineapple/strawberry Martini.
The wait was long when I already reserved a table. They said they set up my reservation but didn’t so somebody had to go over them to do it. The food was not taken right and very dry surprisingly.
Food was good. The noise level made it impossible to have a comfortable conversation. I will never return because of the noise.
From the minute we were seated we received great service and the food was superb!
Everything was great!! The desserts were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I had the carrot cake and ordered some to go!
One of the ordered steaks was completely overcooked. The manager took care of the complaint and a new steak was prepared to order. Service was okay, without particular attention.
Great dinner and excellent service. A wonderful date night meal!
The food and service was great. We will definitely return.
Firebirds has delicious food with a beautiful atmosphere!
Great meal. The waitress seemed to be put off by us and wasn’t very friendly but other than that it was fantastic!!
Good food and service, friendly staff, good portion size for the price of the meal. Enjoyable evening out.
Reservation at 7:00 - they seated us on time. Great turnaround time from ordering until the meal was served. Food was awesome.
Food and service always well done. We had an enjoyable meal
Great , awesome waiter.
You need a reservation...wait can be an hour if not. It took awhile to receive our wine because they were short of wine glasses. Both my husband and I felt that our wine was not pinot grigio but a chardonnay. Perhaps we should have spoken up. The wine had that oaky taste to it that a chardonnay has. My steak was excellent, grilled to perfection, had the blue cheese 7-oz filet mignon. My husband had the sirloin, which was cooked to his preference, but it was a little sinewy. I was surprised that the steaks only came with one side and no house salad was offered--that would have been extra. Everything I've eaten at Firebird's has been delicious. Not happy about my wine. Glad we had a reservation.
Great food and service will recommend. Cannot say enough about our meal and great wine selection.
We are a group of ladies who enjoy being together periodically for good food and companionship. This is our first gathering at your restaurant and were very pleased. We had an excellent server, Zach, and everyone complimented the food. So all in all it was very successful.
4/5 stars because they were not ready to seat us at the scheduled reservation time. I asked my party to get there at least 15 minutes early to ensure we were seated on time. We were seated almost 30 minutes after our reservation. The food, service, and waitstaff were excellent though and very accommodating to our large party (23 people).
Great food and drinks. Drinks came a little slow and restaurant is a little loud for a romantic meal, but overall nice
Service was great. Two of us ordered lobster tails and they were over cooked. Left under the broiler for too long.
It was obvious to anyone that said it. We did not say anything figuring the staff saw it and maybe that was way they served it.
Disappointed, yet everything else was fine.
My wife and I went with another couple. They both love the filet, so all four of us got the same. Add some red wine and good service, and a good time was had by all.
The 2 ribeye was more gristle than meat and over cooked but the manager made good on one of them Not worth $28. My potato was not done so I took it home and ate it later
Expensive hamburger. I was expecting more. We were greeted and seated promptly. Service was uneven.
Loved the whole experience, from modifying daily out party number and maintaining decent time frames, wait was brief for our table and Lexis, our server was the best. Knew the menus (food drinks desserts) and great detail of special service. It was my sister’s birthday and she brought the cake out with precision timing. It is a pricier menu but for party of 5 with cocktails, a shared appetizer 245.00 was actually not bad! We tipped our server 80.00 because she was awesome! Look forward to going again
It was good. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive but other than that it was good.
Food was very good and the blt salad with balsamic dressing is great. We usually eat there when we visit the short pump mall. Service was good except our waitress just kept forgetting things and it would always take awhile for her to come back.
Food was great. Our server Jessie was great. She really went out of her way to make the kids the best Shirley Temples.
Service was just typical, food was mediocre and average, never had s steak, maybe thats their niche, had ribs that were served cold in the center, server never brought our bread, onion rings were overcooked. Not acceptable for price or location
The waitress was amazing and polite. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked and assembled well. The setting was nice and quiet despite the amount of people nearby
We each ordered a steak (different kinds) and his was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Mine was overcooked (I asked med-rare and got med) but it was still good. We ordered lobster tails as an add on and each one was overcooked and rubbery. Overall the food was good but I'm not sure for the price if I would return here or not. There is an excellent steakhouse right down the road for the same prices.
Tasty food. Nice server. Clean bathroom. A little on the pricey side.
Went to Firebirds for Valentine's day. I ordered the fillet mignon and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My partner got the strip steak and it was not cooked correctly and she did not enjoy it. Service and atmosphere was great.
Very disappointed. Expected much better quality of food, however, were quickly met with average food that could be purchased for half the cost. Longhorns steak is better.
Great experience. Great food. Great service.
We had reservations and we're seated very promptly. The waiter, I believe his name was Dan, was amazing. He was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Our appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. Are meals came out promptly and were also delicious. Everything was so enjoyable and nice we could not resist but to get a desert. We will be back soon.
