Food was delicious and service was good. Appetizer came out late but manager took care of it. Would recommend eating here if you haven't already. Very quite and laid back atmosphere. My favorite place to eat dinner hands down!
Food was good but it was not served hot Service was poor, Waitress hardly came by. Had to ask multiple people for steak sauce. Seems they have young staff that are not trained well.
Our server was excellent. Food was out on time, drinks were perfect and overall all was just a very pleasant experience. thank you so very much!
Food & atmosphere was great! Waitress was fantastic & very friendly. From the Niagara Falls area & visiting relatives this is always one of your favorite places to dine while here.
I have eaten here several times and it is my favorite restaurant. The Durango burger is so good it is hard to get anything else on the menu. However I have had the prime rib, the New York strip, and the Pepper encrusted sirloin. All of them are absolutely fantastic. The wait staff is usually pretty good.
We always enjoy eating at Firebirds. Love the blt salad. steak is always good while my husband loves the meat loaf. When asked where I prefer to go on special occasions I always ask for Firebirds.
My food was horrible and not worth the time or expense
I took my wife and mother in law to Firebirds for Mother's Day. The food was great, however the service was subpar. First we were brought the wrong sides. The servicer didn't refill our drinks. Overall no attention to detail.
it's loud so forget about a conversation or first date.
food is predictable - similar to Carrabaa's but not as good.
waitress just took order, brought food, done.
presentation is plain and boring.
When we arrived the host stated that someone called and canceled our reservation. This never happened, the restaurant called us twice Sunday morning, which I did not answer because I was at church. Called back after church and confirmed reservation.
Steak was slightly overcooked, but it was very bland. This is out of the ordinary for Firebirds. Scalloped potatoes were burnt and internally looked grey. Terrible. They did replace these with tater tots, which were good.
Service was terrible on a seemingly very slow mother's day. Had to ask for bread several times. Server kept forgetting.
Stopped in for a mother’s day lunch. Restaurant was busy, but waitstaff and kitchen kept up very well! Pleasant experience.
Food was good, wood grilled chicken overcooked or sat under heat lamp too long. Service not good. Slow to start, didn't know her drink menu, disappeared for long periods of time, Delivered salad and entree at same time. Didn't check back once entrees were delivered. Delivered the check prior to everyone finishing their meals and didn't ask if anyone wanted dessert. Service definitely not up to Firebirds normal level of attention to detail. Very disappointing.
Service was spectacular but the food was just OK. Was expecting a more spectacular prime rib dinner (which was heavily advertised as their Mother's Day focus). I liked the family environment though and will definitely be going back - while the prime rib might not have been that great, their salads looked AMAZING and I will definitely be getting that next time. "Q" our server was AMAZING, attentive, helpful and just all around great and made our experience a fantastic one.
We used to love coming to Firebirds. It was one of our favorites, but the last couple times we’ve come the service has been horrible! My husband and kids took me there Saturday for an early Mother’s Day dinner. We were seated and sat for over 20 min until my husband got up to get someone to take our drink order. We had to wait quite a bit for everything. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waitress poured it into two very visibly dirty wine glasses. Instead of bringing us two new clean glasses with more wine, she filled the remainder of our bottle into the new glasses and never came back to let us know how they were going to handle the two from the dirty glasses. We had to ask about the other half of our bottle and she said they could bring out two fresh glasses of wine. So much for corking what we have not finished. My steak was not cooked the way I had asked, but at that point I think we just were ready to be done and leave. It stinks because this was one of our favorite places to eat for the past few years, but this visit was our last.
Fantastic experience. This was my first time eating there and we will be back. The steaks were very tender and cooked perfectly. I had a salad with tenderloin which was very good and a nice portion and my wife had the filet. The service was stellar. The food took a little bit long to come out, but the waiter apologized and it was worth the wait.
Seated at a 4-person table that was missing a chair. While waitress was getting our drinks, another waitress showed up and gave intro. I said a waitress had already been by to get our drink order. Waitress2 looked flustered and said she knew and that there was a mix up and that she was actually our waitress. Jokingly, I said "are you sure?". No sense of humor from her because she looked insulted. Ordered center cut cooked medium with the blue cheese and mushroom sauce. It arrived, cooked well done (no pink), with the sauce and also a side of mushrooms. We thought okay, maybe she gave us extra. When the bill came, we were charged not only $6 for the side of mushrooms, but also $2.99 FOR EACH ICED TEA. We left quite disheartened because the menu prices had gone up as well. Now it's just not worth it.
We opted to sit on patio...it was delightful! Our server was outstanding!
Just wanted to say it was an enjoyable evening and delicious food and great service our waiter was top, notch and great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back soon. Keep up the great work guys
Firebirds has always been one of our go-to places. It’s close by and usually pretty good. My husband and I just wanted a salad and a beer. My salad sat in the food window for at least 20 min - I could see it from my table. When it came it was wilted and the chicken was dry and a small portion for a $15 salad. My husband ordered a Caesar salad with chicken - $15. It came drowning in dressing and again little chicken. The waiter came back after we were halfway finished to ask if everything was alright. I said it was alright but not great and he left. The next time we saw him was with our bill. It was crowded but not like I’ve seen before. They seemed to have lots of staff. I was disappointed. We like to go there because we can make reservations on Open Table. I will think twice next time.
Lovely place to sit back and relax like having very interesting choices. Lots of variety in the menu!
The only complaint i have is unseasoned and barely cooked mixed vegetables as well as green beans. Those beans were hard/tough not seasoned and only 2 bits of pecans. The carrots and broccoli were hard - it was really like eating raw veggies. The Salmon i ordered was Fabulous which saved the meal!
Great food and service. Felt taken care of and very friendly.
Excellent food and service
Table was ready on time Everything was cooked to perfection. Service impeccable.
The spinach salad is awesome! I ordered it with grilled salmon. I will be back!
Great food and service. Specials were unique and very good.
Excellent as always
We have been a number of times and service and food was good. Our last visit the service was slow (waited 45 minutes for food). When it did arrive it was cold. This is not a cheap restaurant. Average cost is 25.00 per person. Will not be retuning any time soon
Our food was fine, not outstanding considering how many really delicious meals I've had in Richmond, but certainly adequate. It did take quite a while to arrive, and the restaurant did not appear to be crowded. When the entrees were served, I was offered another glass of wine, which I ordered. The next time we saw our waiter we were about 3/4 finished, and I asked about the wine. He didn't appear to know anything about, but went off to get it. He passed our table 2 more times before the wine arrived. The really noteworthy thing was that no empty glass or plate was ever removed from our table. The waiter brought the check, took our credit card, returned, thanked us and never removed our empty plates. With so many other options in town, I doubt we'll ever go back.
Great food and service. Our go to place..
Excellent, as always! Wife's birthday dinner. Nice big booth. My coconut shrimp (actually an app) and the huge baked potato made a tasty and very filling meal for me. Wife had a big steak (as she was eating her leftovers at home last night she said, "I think I'm gonna get three meals out of this steak.") and tater tots (yes, she loves their tater tots) and loved her meal. Waitress, Katina, was the best. They even treated the birthday girl to a very cool desert...little creme brulee squares that were very good. The consistently excellent food and service keep Firebirds on the top of our list.
After a TERRIBLE experience at Firebirds at Short Pump last night, I am very pleased to say that the Southside Firebirds more than made up for it. We typically eat at the Belvedere location (Southside) but we were already over in Short Pump at dinner time so we decided to give it a try. They were not aware of our experience last night so I cannot say that they were treating us differently than usual.
We love Firebirds! Every visit is wonderful! Thank you
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great value. Great service. Brought my family of four after a day of soccer games, my 15 and 17 year old boys walked out stuffed which is hard to do.
You won’t be disappointed!
Our waiter Eric was the best. WE are glad he was a part of our meal!
Everything was great! The waiter was awesome and so was the food!
We ordered steaks it was dry and not as good as we have had in the past . Waiter messed up drinks twice but was nice . Very dirty floors .
Good food, great service Red was attentive to our large party and energetic. Was pleasantly surprised with quality of food for a chain restaurant.
I celebrated my 31st birthday here and I had a good time. I ordered four cocktails, philly cheesesteak egg rolls, and a chili rubbed delmonico steak with broccoli. Everything was good but it was very expensive even going at happy hour time. The service was wonderful.
