   I did notice something unusual and wondered if it was the norm for Mother’s Day moms eating today. A table besides us in the patio had finished their meal and a man, (possible mgr) was chatting with them before they got up to leave. He made a point to hand each female a card which could be used for something (discount, free dessert, etc) in the future. Maybe he knew them and knew they were moms. However, my wife, and mother in law missed that opportunity. Other than that issue, the meal was a great celebration for the two moms today.

   Our server, Kelli, was truly outstanding! We were a party of eight celebrating a college graduation, and she made our dining experience exceptional.

   Our waitress was great, only complaint; The Broccoli was undercooked for me. The rest of the meal was delicious.

   My Salmon Eggs Benedict was amazing...but I swapped out the potatoes for the Cheesy grits and those were dry and bland. My husband was a little disappointed that there were no blueberry pancake options! Service to our table was lacking slightly. Not sure if our server had some challenges or what? Usually we get awesome service. There were MUCH larger parties all around us and those larger parties were getting a huge amount of attention from there servers.

   This Mother’s Day brunch was great. We were seated promptly, the server was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The room wasn’t overcrowded and the ambience was relaxed so we didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommend the salmon eggs Benedict and roasted potatoes, my new favorite. Generous portions and nice presentation - a winner all around - highly recommend.

   I eat at Firebirds all the time and it is one of my favorites. However this time the restaurant was very busy with service slow. Part of the food very good (filet mignon) but my broccoli was hardly cooked. The restaurant was noisy because there was a very large birthday party group close by. One of my very favorite things to get there is a small spinach salad and a loaded baked potato. Both are very, very good.
