We arrived 20 minutes early. We checked in for our 9:15 dinner reservation. We waited at the bar, ordered two cocktails and both cocktails tasted like juice. We both are not heavy alcohol drinkers. My date had to order a shot of alcohol to add to the cocktail. The amount of time we spent at the bar discussing the taste with the bartender, we were alerted that our table was ready. So I did not waste anymore time about my cocktail. We cashed out at the bar plus tipped the bartender.
We ordered 2 entree’s 1. Prime Rib medium well 1. Grill Salmon
The Prime Rib came out medium raw and the Grill Salmon came out hard and flaky. I mentioned it to the waiter and he agreed and took it back to the kitchen to get it cooked over. The manager brought the Grill Salmon back to me, I place my fork in it, cut it and it was raw. He looked at it, agreed that it was raw throughout, apologized, took the plate to the kitchen to place it back on the grill. My date ate around the medium parts of the Prime Rib and including all his vegetables. He also ordered additional sides. My date had been working all day and this was his first meal.
The manager came back to our table to apologize and requested that he would remove the Grill Salmon from the ticket. We cashed out plus tipped the waiter.
The food at this restaurant has gone down tremendously. I’m not sure who they have hired as their top Chef.
While we were leaving, (of course we were the last guest to leave) the kitchen staff was outside at their cars on the parking lot talking, laughing and smoking weed. As my date was walking me to my car we spoke in the act of kindness to the restaurant staff in passing. I told my date I guess this explains why our food was a mess.
Took so long to get seat my reservation was at 8:00 pm they sat us in till 8:53 pm
My wife and i were tabled next to the carry out desk. The noise was awful, yelling, etc. We had carry out traffic all around us for the entire time we were sitting. Our meals took over 45 minutes and my ribeye was cold and raw, not rare, bloody, cold and RAW! This was the first time Firebirds missed the done level of my steak, but the last time we were there, the noise was extremely loud. Firebirds should not set tables next to the carry out and open kitchen with a yelling chef. Firebirds is not a diner or deli, it is a steakhouse. If i want to see and-or hear carryout and kitchen noise, i will go to Lenny's. I will never go back to Firebirds.
The best thing about Firebirds is the personal service from our waiters-especially the one we've had the last two times we've been there. The waiters are ALL very nice, efficient, and welcoming. The manager is always around to ask how things are. The food is very good!

The service was great. A new sever was being trained and both where on point & very professional.
There are many good restaurants in Memphis but my wife and I find ourselves coming back to just a few because of the service. The food is great, but what sets Firebirds apart is the service. I never get frustrated or angry during a meal because of the exceptional service. I can just relax and enjoy. Very nice.
The service was great. The waitress was very attentive and you didn’t have to ask for drink refills. The was a great outing for my family.

They could enforce the mask rule if you’re not eating! A family across from us had two tables and one of the kids keep getting up running and coughing and not covering his mouth
Overall good experience - reservations at 7, seated at 7:02; service was good, drinks and food arrived timely. My blue cheese filet was a little over done (ordered medium rare, came as medium) but flavor was good, and I was expecting blue cheese crumbles but had blue cheese dressing instead, missed that on the menu. Nothing truly spectacular about the experience, no wow moment or food item but also no complaints - good meal, good service.

It was closed. I received a text a couple of days prior asking me to confirm reservation and I did. I went to the restaurant and it was closed. I never received a notification that it was closed. It was closed because of weather conditions, but they should have notified me.

Made last minute reservations when we saw reservations opening up for a party of 6. Everything was amazing! Our server was fantastic! Everyone’s steaks cooked perfectly! The manager even stopped by twice. Had a great time!

Booking a reservation online really was helpful. We Had the best waitress ever who did everything in his power to make sure we had a great experience. The food was really delicious and the chef’s worked hard to please our taste buds. 10/10 Recommend.

They were over booking people did not meet the standard COVID 19 guidelines. I made reservations for 8:25 arrived and had to wait an additional 20, was seated and waited another 30 minutes after ordering and did not receive our order. On top of that it was my BIRTHDAY DINNER the worst ever!!
Great food and had a wonderful time with friends over dinner. All the staff were very polite.
This is a popular restaurant and often has a long wait list to be seated. We made a reservation and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. Waitress was pleasant and friendly. The wait between drinks/appetizers to arrival of our entrees was 60 minutes, Three people at our table ordered steaks, one ordered salmon and we were told it was the salmon that was holding things up. Maybe it had to be thawed? When the food came, it was very good and we enjoyed it. A friend told me she and her husband tried to eat at this Firebirds at the same time we were there, but was told the wait would be 90 minutes for a table.

To start with, we are big fans of Firebirds, especially when dining out with our 11 yr old Son. You can't beat the Child's Steak Dinner for value and quality (usually). This meal was different then past experiences, I understand they have a newer GM? My son's meal came out 30 minutes before ours, his ticket time was around 15 min, our meals came out about 45 min after ordering, he was done eating... His steak was well done, ordered medium, but he decided to keep it and ate about 1/3 of it. The wife's dinner (Filet) was perfect Medium, my ribeye was well done, ordered Medium Rare.... I sent it back, which I have done maybe 4 times in my 47 yrs. It came back raw, purple, not a warm RED center a Med Rare should be, fat wasn't even rendered, not seared........ BY this time, we were done.... The server was OUTSTANDING! The mgmt, mediocre at best..... We did have appetizer and desert, and tipped our server very well.
The food was just not good... back of the house needs some guidance and mgmt. Will give it one more try, but hesitant….. Hope they were just having a bad night.
