I had the take-out employees preparing the to-go meals right next to my head. My table was next to their to-go station.
We always enjoy our time at Firebirds in Gainesville, VA! From the host staff to our server and food, it was a great dinner out!
Excellent - all around! Food, service, everything was great!
A restaurant that hits all the marks. Not only was all of the food we got delicious, even the food I took home was still delicious. This is not a place to rush and eat. This is a feast to be enjoyed. The smoked wings are a "can't miss" item and definitely leave room for dessert. The lemon cake was scrumptious...and admittedly, I had to get it to go since I was so full already. I had the grilled shrimp and strawberry salad and stole a couple of my daughter's fries as well. Everyone loved their food and I am just waiting for my next opportunity to go back to eat. It is an hour and a half away, but well worth the drive...as it is halfway between my daughter's house and mine.
Felt rushed. My husband and I were sitting and talking after our meal enjoying a drink and the server kept
Coming asking if we needed anything else or if we were done. Became irritating so we finally just paid and left.
Excellent service, we’ll be back next week!
I enjoy Firebirds. But the service sometimes is hit or miss. And it's a bit pricey
Food was good but I believe service makes or breaks the experience. In this case our server was nice but not very attentive or knowledgeable.
First of all, the restaurant was freezing. We sat at the table with our coats on and every time the door to the outside opened, we put our hoods up.
Second the service was slow and the prices were very high. I ordered a 7 oz filet mignon and if it was 3 oz I was lucky. Also the food was not cooked properly and it was cold. My baked potato was also cold.
My grandson's chicken fingers were too hard for him to eat. How can you mess up a club sandwich. Firebirds did. My granddaughter, who is not a child, picked at it and barely ate any of it.
My husband's chicken was overcooked and very dry. Only ate a few bites.
Also, we were there to celebrate my son-in-law's birthday. When I made the reservations, they asked if it was a special occasion. I indicated it was to celebrate a birthday. No mention of it was ever made. I
It took forever to get 2 lemonade for my grandkids and sodas for others.
Since we thought we would be going frequently to Firebirds, we joined their "club" which is free. We have gone there several times and we will never be going back.
My family lives in Texas. Understand Firebirds just opened a restaurant there. We are going to warn our family and friends not to go to the Firebirds!
We really enjoyed our visit to Firebirds! Our waitress was awesome and went above and beyond for us. It was a halfway meeting point for us to visit with family and we enjoyed great service and food.
Great, as always. It's our favorite place for a local dinner out. Food is consistently excellent.
Brunch menu was extremely disappointing and limited. Salmon benedict seems and odd choice and asked about substituting the salmon were told that "No substitutions were allowed on the brunch menu". Very understaffed and took a while for drinks, food, checking on the table, etc. This was a New Year's Day brunch so doubly disappointed. They need to work on their menu and service for us to go back.
My husband and I always enjoy dining at Firebirds. The food is consistently good and service is excellent. However, on this visit, one of our meals was not prepared correctly. The salmon entrée was very, very salty. The manager did correct the problem and we were pleased.
We had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner. The food and service was excellent.
NYE with great, long time friends. Three of the four had good
meals. One in the party had sirloin - meat was too tough to eat. This was 2nd occasion in a row poor/tough steak for same individual who says he won’t return. Meat was too tough to take to dog who likely wouldn’t have been able to chew it……. Guess I’ll have to spend remainder of my $100GC with girlfriends……. BLT salad is ALWAYS OUTSANDING!!!
Last minute get together w/our best friends & we were able to book a table for four at 5 on New Years Eve.
Our server Angel was a delight and it being a early RSVP this place was on their game. They even wiped our table down before we were seated. The place was full and Never did feel rush so she could move onto the next group. The food was awesome. Yes we will be back.
Firebirds never disappoints us. We always enjoy our meal and the service is always fantastic!!
One of our go to opaces - comsistent excellent menu, well prepared meals and attentive service - have dined thete at least 30 times and have never bern disappointed. My wife would like,to see meat loaf put back on the menu - her fav!
We love the food at Firebirds. Even with a reservation we had a small wait, but it’s always worth it.
Server was great. Food was ok. Temperature on steak was Luke warm. Appetizers were good. Dessert was good
Good service. Terrible prime rib. Nice atmosphere
Asparagus was not cooked. It was raw. Two of the same red snapper entrees came out different. One had sauce one didn’t. The stripper had skin still on it. Food was very pedestrian. Disappointed because I have not experienced this in the past. Firebirds may have a problem in the kitchen.
Delicious as always and Angel was a great server.
There were 6 meals total. Everyone had a great meal except me. My wood fired salmon was quite dry, even looking at it before trying it. It was also missing the lime sauce. I didn’t notify the waiter as any disruption would have upset him. But it was a disappointing meal for me unfortunately. I also thought the baked potato I ordered had way too much salt… Thankful everyone else had a great meal.
I would probably recommend your restaurant, but would want to share this experience as well.
Table bread under baked, Ribeye slightly chewy and gristly but overall good.
Very nice Christmas Eve dinner with a great server.
Food wasn’t as good as I’m accustomed to at Firebirds, but it was late on a holiday in a busy season.
Restaurant was clean, staff was all friendly, and it was a very special night.
Ordered a 16oz ribeye. The most expensive steak on the menu. Quality was very poor. Very undercooked and very very fatty even for a ribeye. Waiter was very good and had steak compd
Dinner at Firebird's on Christmas Eve has become a tradition. Have never been disappointed in the food and service. My filet was cooked perfectly and was delicious.
Steak was overcooked terribly. Drinks were not mixed properly. Fish was undercooked. Best part of the meal was the bread and butter.
Entrees are too expensive to be that mediocre. Appetizers were good. Service was ok. I’d rather go to Sweetwater.
The five stars speak for themselves. Had the 13 oz. fiilet, bacon wrapped, bueu cheese and mushrooms. 10 on a scale of 10. Deven was waiter - also 10 on a scale of 10.
Attentive service and quiet enough for good conversation
Ribs very good. Plated poorly. Fries soft and scarce.
Tracy was phenomenal! The food was well prepared
The food was excellent. Was a bit surprised that there was not more of an effort to space the tables due to the latest Covid spread.
The weekend brunch menu is unique and delicious. A must to try.
We were a party of two and they chose to seat us next to a very large and very noisy party when most of the restaurant was empty. We asked to be moved and, when we did, lost our server and did not get another one until we asked for one. Many servers just passed us by for close to 15 minutes, assuming the server from the previous table would take our order. The only food complaint is that the roll for the Cheeseburger was very hard around the edge. Most likely it was stale or somehow just over toasted around the edge. The lettuce wasn't the best, very thick not the more leafy edge part. The burger itself was good, just a little undercooked for medium. I normally order medium well but have been getting well done when I've done that at Firebirds so I talked to the server and ordered it as a medium instead.
The deviled eggs, if that's something you like were very good and my red snapper fish special was fantastic.
It is pretty good and one of the more consistent places to dine in the area . Sometimes they miss things like "dressing on the side". Hostesses have an attitude sometimes but management is nice and over clean and friendly place.
