Fire Tower Restaurant & Tavern
The restaurant is named after the iconic fire tower that sits atop of Stratton Mountain where multi generations of skiers and riders made the hike to the summit.
Nestled in the heart of Stratton Village. Whet your appetite with Fire Tower Shrimp, our famous Ahi Nachos or a Tuscan Winter Salad. For dinner variety of eclectic menu options to choose from including Caribbean Grouper, Weinerschnitzel, Vt Fresh Pasta & Lobster Carbonara, Hand Crafted Flatbreads or Mountain Burgers
Combining the spirit of a traditional tavern with upscale modern materials we take great pride in our unique bar design.
We offer some of the most unique Vermont craft beer and craft cocktail selections.
Come try a Makers Cider Smash next to the fire on our covered timber patio
Great location and ambience! The menu has a lot to choose from which was great for our big group with kids. We had the pork potstickers for an appetizer which were delicious. I had the roast chicken over rizotto which was good but too salty!
Although I liked idea of small plates, the prices were more like entree prices. The cocktail list was interesting , dining experience was ok. I felt the food was good but nothing great. An average experience.
Delicious food!!!! Definitely will be going back!!
Another great dinner. Food (weinerschnitzel) and service (Scott) and ambiance (all) were wonderful. On a busy Friday night, too.
Fire Tower is a great choice for apres ski dinner. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating.
This evening I tried the Brisket Cheeseburger for the first time, and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy too!
Just be sure to make reservations. So many people wander in for a great dinner and are turned away because the Firetower has a full house.
Great food, drinks and experience! Definitely will be back!
We had a 6:30 reservation but came an hour early. They sat us within minutes and our food was delicious. Even though it was quite crowded when we were finishing up, we never felt rushed.
Went to Fire Tower for the first time on Thursday and returned every evening after dinner to enjoy the after dinner drinks there. Lively crowd, also friendly and interesting. I gave the noise level a little lower because the table next to ours during dinner was loud. I think I may not be used to loud voices since I am from the south and we tend to keep the conversational voice low during dinner. Overall, a great place for dinner and for enjoying the end of the evening with a nice cocktail.
The restaurant is nice for a step up from the pub, but the food was inconsistent. The crab cake and salad were excellent, but the tempura was more fish and chip batter and the pasta dishes were overcooked and the garlic did not taste fresh. Server was very nice. New chef for this place, please!
Please bring back the Firetower shrimp! Great food and service
Father son meal
I thought the portion of chicken was way too small. I left still hungry.
Daughter’s 26th birthday. Come here every year on her birthday and wouldn’t be or want to be anywhere else!
We are regular customers at the Fire Tower, and this may have been our best meal yet. The food was terrific, the wine selection was excellent, and the service was perfect.
We always have an awesome meal here every time we come up to ski at Stratton . Food, Drink and Service is spot on.
Food was average to just above... Atmosphere was very nice. Overpriced, but on par with the rest of the resort.
Wonderful ambiance, friendly bartender, hostess, wait staff. Food and drinks were original and exceptional! We have a wonderful New Year’s Day experience! Dreaming of the Ahi Nachos as I type this!
Fantastic last night on the mountain-thank you. HNY
Very convenient location in Stratton Village. Appetizers great, but for some reason, the main course were all too salty. The waitress was very nice and friendly and replied that there was a new chef. Hopefully they will get it right.
Ate There Before. Food is very good. This trip the service started out very good but fizzeled at the end. Had to wait a long time for our dinner check and when it came we were overcharged. check corrected quickly but had to wait a long time to pay and get back our receipt. We would still go back but if it happened again we would talk to a manager before leaving the restaurant.
Felt very rushed from the moment we sat down. Usually service is excellent but this time between being rushed and the inattention to our food allergies may have made this a last visit for us. We had people vaping at the table next to us to boot. Didn’t know that’s allowed in a restaurant but apparently anything goes.
We make a point to dine here whenever we are in Stratton. Great food, creative cocktails and good service.
Great atmosphere, friendly service and made everyone feel like they were at their local favorite restaurant.
Shared a bunch of small plates and flat breads. All we’re good. Will return
Great food and service as always but please bring back the fire tower shrimp!
Our wait staff was very good.
We had the best dinner here! Staff was wonderful, food was great. We loved the kale Cesar salad and the chicken entree! So yummy.
Fire Tower is not to be missed on a visit to Stratton Mountain. We had a great meal with great ambience and service. Food was fantastic and wine was wonderful. You will not be disappointed!
Great food and very attentive service. Will definitely return for another meal!
food has really improved but tables in room near bar make it impossible to converse
Everything was great. Tuna nachos were fabulous as a starter. Surprise meal was the duck. Two of our party had it and both loved it. Burger was also great. Service was excellent
It was a great spot for dinner after a long day of skiing!
Had Thanksgiving dinner here. Tables were close together, hard to converse due to noise level but overall good experience. Food and service we great, noise level and closeness of tables could use some work.
Authentic holiday cuisine. Tasty seafood dishes with Vermont flair. Fantastic service.
Service was slow. Food was cold and tasteless. Had no grasp of Glutten free preparation. Served a glutten free meal with cross contamination of French fries.
We go to Fire Tower every time we go to Stratton, which is about 6 times a year. The food and the service is ALWAYS very good.
Great place food and drinks. Ate there 2 times in 3 days and can’t wait to go back
Great food and exceptional service. We look forward to eating at the Firetower when we are on the mountain. The Jerk Chicken is our favorite!
Went with another couple for Brewfest
