May be due to short staffing but our waitress forgot many things throughout the dinning experience. She would often leave the table before taking all the orders and forget drinks. She seemed overwhelmed even though the whole restaurant was maybe 40% capacity.
The ambiance and service are excellent. I have had great meals here in the past but last night was a huge disappointment. The fries were undercooked, the halibut was undercooked and smelled fishy, the broccolini was charged (as in burnt) and had no flavor other than burnt.
I sure hope that this was just an off night for the chefs.
Honestly was kind of disappointed in this place. When you’re spending this much money on food you expect it to be good. My steak there had so much fat on it that I couldn’t eat half of it so the chef should learn to trim the steak. Also the potatoes were not cooked they were hard. The only thing that was good was the cream corn and the potato appetizer. My boyfriends risotto was creamy and liquid texture. Won’t be coming back unfortunately because it’s so high price for not that good of value
This was for my daughter and my mother and they had a perfect evening. They loved their server, Kate and they said the view was amazing
Everyone was a trainee and it showed. Poor and slow service.
The food was OK, but small and very overpriced for what was served.
Staff was very good and kept checking on us.
Unfortunately something happened in the kitchen and it took over 1 hr to receive brunch item. We ordered the Croquet Monsieur (2) and 1 madame...the food appearance differed in size and appearance and crust of bread was very hard. Plates were under heat lamp too long. Side salad was good and fruit side was good, it was the main entree that was very disappointing.
We were offered the same item by accident and the appearance was much different.
Still adjusting to having customers, need more staff. Waited 45 min after we ordered breakfast to receive our food.
A small group of friends testing the waters of indoor dining, we were delighted with our experience at Fire. Our lovely southern view of the city in a quiet section of the restaurants the mood. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Our food was delicious.
Outdoor rooftop seating highly recommended. Food was decent, but nothing "WOW". Service was friendly. A little bit overprice, but it is a hotel restaurant, so understandable.
Excellent service they were very attentive to our table and making sure we were enjoying our experience. The vibe and ambiance really got our night started towards a fun time. Good in my opinion is ok but not bad.
Food and service were excellent as well as the cocktails. View was awesome and we also enjoyed the art along the walls on the outside of the restaurant.
This was one of our first in door dining meals in a over a year. It was a very pleasant and safe experience. The food and drink were delicious and our table against the windows offered great views.
Horrible service. We sat at the table for 46 minutes and only had a glass of water. We had to ask for someone to come take our order. There were 9 tables sat, so it wasn't some massive rush. Just poor customer service. The peppers were also incredibly spicy. Inedible.
Our server was incredible. Funny polite on point
Nice setting and service was pretty good. Menu is however, very limited. Food was okay. Seems to not be as good as pre-pandemic.
Great staff and service thank you again for an excellent experience
The special menu was special. The two desserts were fantastic! Would go back for their regular menu.
The staff was very gracious and the service was excellent. It’s not for me though because there was only one vegetarian option and it was very creamy and rich (mushroom risotto). There were no vegan selections, which is what I prefer.
I ask about ingredients because I have pain when I eat certain things. I got an eyeroll and a grudging sort-of answer. I understand it can seem silly; I am certain needing this information bothers me more than anyone else. It's hard to figure how rolling eyes makes anyone feel better, certainly not me.
The food is good. The space is gorgeous. The art is always interesting. I recommend it. Compassionate response to odd needs would make it even better.
The ambiance and the service were wonderful. The food not so much. I could not get my hamburger cooked medium. I sent it back and it came out more well done. We ordered dessert which was dry and chalky.
The bloom is off the rose... hadn't been to Fire for 1.5 years and granted Covid's kicked everyone's mojo, but the restuarant appeared tired and worn. The food, (breakfast), was basic. So if you're searching for ambiance, maybe the evening scene and fare is a different beast worthy of a try. But for Sunday brunch... Denver's got way more that's exceptional.
Atmosphere was wonderful. Entrees were average but the wedge salad was to die for!
Our server was loud and rude. Made us feel bad because we asked for bread and their bread was not being delivered as usual. Same fir dessert. Pastry chef hadn’t started yet. It seems simple to get these from a local bakery. Will not return because of rude service.
The server started the conversation about 10 minutes after we were sat with, “can I get you anything for last call”. Mind you this was dinner reservation at 8:30. He was obviously done with work and we were an inconvenience. This is the 2nd visit for food and both were not great service. Good food though.
We went for Valentines Day. They had a nice separation on the tables for COVID. The bar service was just “ok”; no specialty drinks right now which is pretty odd for Denver.
My wife had their 5 course Valentines special and loved it. I’m a vegetarian and they didn’t have a vegetarian option for the 5 courses and our waiter made no attempt at alternate suggestions, which was disappointing. I had the French fries and the brussel sprout appetizers for dinner. The brussel sprouts were seriously good so that bumped it up a notch. We also had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was really good.
The views from the 4th floor windows was awesome and the public art in the lobby was also really nice and unique.
The option for the night was the Valentine’s Day tasting menu which was excellent. While this did not include an option for the regular menu, the items on it were delicious, well thought out and worth every cent.
Great meal, beet salad could have used a few more greens, but everything tasted wonderful.
I treated myself to a Valentine’s Day dinner. I made a reservation for one weeks ago. I feel I got seated at a table farthest away from views I was excited to see. I’m not sure if I was put there because I was by myself or not but it could have been better. My server was professional but didn’t seem the friendliest. Overall the food was good, I just wish that the whole menu had been available too. And some of the items I had asked for were out. It was a fair experience, was hoping for more.
Server Nate was not attentive. Manager had to take our order and he was very aloof.
Steak had no flavor.
Desserts not being offered.
Do not fall for the photos this restaurant and the art hotel are subpar and a 2 star establishment at best.
They didn’t have any sweet wines.
The highlight of our visit here was the crab cake appetizer for Restaurant Week and the lady who I assume was the manager who kept checking on us/picking up the slack from our server. Other than that.. it was miss...
I have to admit that I was super disappointed with our first visit here. Although the outside patio was great and the interior art was really cool to look at, the rest was less satisfactory.. our server wasn't friendly (and I'm a big fan of customer service). It took him 15 mins to say hi to us we sat down and another 15 to bring drinks over. My problem with that is that he only had another 2 top other than us so I'm not sure what kept him so busy. Luckily we had the lady manager (I'm assuming) who came over more frequently throughout our meal to bring the next course/check in on us. The crab cake was good but the rest was very average. I would not pay $35/meal.. maybe $20...
All in all.. I wouldn't recommend this place.
The staff at Fire is super friendly, service was top notch, and the food was excellent. Tables were appropriately spaced for COVID and we felt safe. It was a great experience!
Staff was excellent and the overall experience was fantastic will definitely be booking again.
Went for restaurant week and was delightfully surprised. Everything was amazing.
Was hoping for a more impressive dining experience for my 11 year anniversary. Maybe the place would have more of a vibe if it wasn’t for COVID. The food was simply ok. Nothing special. The server was very polite and attentive but as there were only like 10 people in the place on a Saturday that may not be the case in a busy night but non the less no complaints with service. The plus is the outside Terrance with lounge seating and fire pits.
We had dinner reservations, sat outside on the patio with the fire pits. It was a chilly night in Denver and the fire just made it beautiful. Great drinks, food and service.
