I ask about ingredients because I have pain when I eat certain things. I got an eyeroll and a grudging sort-of answer. I understand it can seem silly; I am certain needing this information bothers me more than anyone else. It's hard to figure how rolling eyes makes anyone feel better, certainly not me.
The food is good. The space is gorgeous. The art is always interesting. I recommend it. Compassionate response to odd needs would make it even better.
The ambiance and the service were wonderful. The food not so much. I could not get my hamburger cooked medium. I sent it back and it came out more well done. We ordered dessert which was dry and chalky.
Atmosphere was wonderful. Entrees were average but the wedge salad was to die for!
Our server was loud and rude. Made us feel bad because we asked for bread and their bread was not being delivered as usual. Same fir dessert. Pastry chef hadn’t started yet. It seems simple to get these from a local bakery. Will not return because of rude service.
Anniversary
The server started the conversation about 10 minutes after we were sat with, “can I get you anything for last call”. Mind you this was dinner reservation at 8:30. He was obviously done with work and we were an inconvenience. This is the 2nd visit for food and both were not great service. Good food though.
We went for Valentines Day. They had a nice separation on the tables for COVID. The bar service was just “ok”; no specialty drinks right now which is pretty odd for Denver.
My wife had their 5 course Valentines special and loved it. I’m a vegetarian and they didn’t have a vegetarian option for the 5 courses and our waiter made no attempt at alternate suggestions, which was disappointing. I had the French fries and the brussel sprout appetizers for dinner. The brussel sprouts were seriously good so that bumped it up a notch. We also had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was really good.
The views from the 4th floor windows was awesome and the public art in the lobby was also really nice and unique.
Amazing food!
The option for the night was the Valentine’s Day tasting menu which was excellent. While this did not include an option for the regular menu, the items on it were delicious, well thought out and worth every cent.
Great meal, beet salad could have used a few more greens, but everything tasted wonderful.
I treated myself to a Valentine’s Day dinner. I made a reservation for one weeks ago. I feel I got seated at a table farthest away from views I was excited to see. I’m not sure if I was put there because I was by myself or not but it could have been better. My server was professional but didn’t seem the friendliest. Overall the food was good, I just wish that the whole menu had been available too. And some of the items I had asked for were out. It was a fair experience, was hoping for more.
Server Nate was not attentive. Manager had to take our order and he was very aloof.
Steak had no flavor.
Desserts not being offered.
Do not fall for the photos this restaurant and the art hotel are subpar and a 2 star establishment at best.
They didn’t have any sweet wines.
The highlight of our visit here was the crab cake appetizer for Restaurant Week and the lady who I assume was the manager who kept checking on us/picking up the slack from our server. Other than that.. it was miss...
I have to admit that I was super disappointed with our first visit here. Although the outside patio was great and the interior art was really cool to look at, the rest was less satisfactory.. our server wasn't friendly (and I'm a big fan of customer service). It took him 15 mins to say hi to us we sat down and another 15 to bring drinks over. My problem with that is that he only had another 2 top other than us so I'm not sure what kept him so busy. Luckily we had the lady manager (I'm assuming) who came over more frequently throughout our meal to bring the next course/check in on us. The crab cake was good but the rest was very average. I would not pay $35/meal.. maybe $20...
All in all.. I wouldn't recommend this place.
The staff at Fire is super friendly, service was top notch, and the food was excellent. Tables were appropriately spaced for COVID and we felt safe. It was a great experience!
Staff was excellent and the overall experience was fantastic will definitely be booking again.
Went for restaurant week and was delightfully surprised. Everything was amazing.
Was hoping for a more impressive dining experience for my 11 year anniversary. Maybe the place would have more of a vibe if it wasn’t for COVID. The food was simply ok. Nothing special. The server was very polite and attentive but as there were only like 10 people in the place on a Saturday that may not be the case in a busy night but non the less no complaints with service. The plus is the outside Terrance with lounge seating and fire pits.
We had dinner reservations, sat outside on the patio with the fire pits. It was a chilly night in Denver and the fire just made it beautiful. Great drinks, food and service.
Lovely evening on the patio with chicken wings and shrimp
Tacos. A true delight!
We were in town for our birthdays and choose this place for my girlfriend birthday dinner. She loves Colorado and patios. The spot was perfect - food was amazing and cocktails were just as delicious. Our server was the best! Ugh I wish I remembered her name for special shout out but she did say she use to love by the hotel we were staying at The Warwick. Definitely recommend and will come again!
Risotto, corn soup, and wedge salad were all amazing.
Don’t take the steak salad off the menu. Lovely room, nice menu, great food. Big plus is free valet parking for diners. We use this every time we attend a patron opening event at DAM.
One of our party had the ahi tuna sandwich which she was disappointed in. She thought it was quite bland and needed at minimum a little salt.
Great view and place, very nice service! Had a great birthday experience
Mini moon💖
Nice staff and nice view.
Over all we had great time and our friend had a great birthday. The drinks where awesome and the man that sat our table was so nice and helpful. He even got our fire pit working when we were told it wasn’t working at first. Really appreciated him going above and beyond for our experience.
Well done hotel restaurant
We couldn't even get a server to come to our table. It was super weird, honestly.
We came to Fire to celebrate our anniversary. The patio was just as pictured, a beautiful space. We were seated at a "cabana" which had couches and a fire pit. It was lovely! We waited, and waited, and waited for someone to talk to us. When I approached the bar, there were several servers standing around. When a waitress finally came to talk to us, she just dropped off the QR code, then disappeared for a while again. We were finally able to order two beers from her. The few interactions we had with her (someone else delivered our beers) appeared to be an annoyance to her. We had planned to stay for dinner, but instead paid for our beers and found a restaurant nearby where we had a delightful dinner where we were well taken care of. So much potential, but we were very disappointed.
We were probably the last table that got sat but that didn’t stop our server from making us feel so welcome! She was very attentive and sweet. Wish I could have remembered her name for next time! Thank you! We will be back.
The fireplace was not working, the outside chairs were not comfortable for someone who has short legs, and the food and drinks were very overpriced.
Always a pleasure coming here for dinner or drinks!
Servers were rude. Displayed no skills in customer service.
Love this place. Visit frequently during social hour and the staff are very friendly. Enjoy sitting on the patio cabanas. The old fashion is a regular request and the truffle fries are delicious. The chefs will adjust menu for special diets. One of my favorite destinations for a quick meet-up with friends.
Our server was absolutely spectacular. So friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and bottomless mimosas. The room is beautiful and the view is so much fun.
For some reason, staff was not friendly at all. There were eye rolls as we were getting our orders taken. Not quite sure if they were having an off-night. Other than that, the food was great.
Very creative drinks perfect date spot.
