Our concept is very simple, take Ireland's finest raw ingredients and use original recipes to create exceptional dishes without getting too complicated.
Horrible. This place is big and efficient but soulless and boring.
A group of 6 of us attend Fire to celebrate my mother and father in laws 40th wedding anniversary. From the second we walked in the door to the minute we left we were treated with the upmost professionalism and warmth. The food was amazing and our waiter for the night was fantastic he couldn't have done enough for us. Thank you to all the team for a wonderful time helping us celebrate this great achievement.
Yes I would recommend for the food but service was poor also long wait to get table when we arrived despite having a reservation
Beautiful venue, plenty of staff but not suitable as a couple.
We were simply forgotten about. No clearing of plates between starter/main, no steak knives given for main (though clearly visible to servers), never asked for drinks, never asked how once if everything was ok.
Eventually had to stand up and approach a member of staff after trying unsuccessfully to flag down a number of servers in order to get a dessert menu. Told him that we would go for a cigarette and then be back to order dessert - we were promised the menus would be on our table when we got back.
Instead, we arrived back to find our table cleared.
Decided to leave there and then - despite the maître d' saying we could have another table to finish.
Very let down, especially as it was my girlfriend's birthday.
Table booked for 5pm, not seated until 5.25. Table too dark, couldn't read menu. Server lacked knowledge of dietary options (coeliac). We had finished our meal by 7pm and paid by 7.05 and we were sitting sipping our drinks when the restaurant manager came and very sternly said that there was a strict 2 hour policy on tables on Saturday. I pointed out to him that it was 7.07 and that we had not been seated until after 7.20pm. At that point he walked away extremely quickly without a further word. We had given a decent tip but had we not done so before that point I'm not sure we would have been so generous. We eat out regularly and our money is as good as anyone else, but I don't think Fire will be seeing us anytime soon. Disappointing.
The round table provided us with a better atmosphere And the staff were just so helpful and accommodating since the minute we arrived.
Lovely restaurant, we had a great time and the food was fab. Our server Shannon was fantastic! Came in the recommendation of my sister and I’ll be sure to recommend you myself! Thanks again
Food was excellent. Great cocktail menu Service was good. Room was a bit noisy due to shape of room. But the room was itself was beautiful to look at
The food wasnt to my expectations
Service was super good and quick
The food looked good but didnt taste for the price we paid for it
We had another beautiful meal at Fire. Lovely staff, great wine selection and the best steak in Dublin. Highly recommended
Food/ambience superb. There was too long a wait for our pre-booked table.
Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was quite busy. Nice variety of options on the menu between fixed price or a la carte. Food was good, but the steak was under seasoned. Ambiance was nice and certainly would be a good location for a date night.
We arrived 15 mins before our booking but were not seated for 40 mins. The table was terrible up at the far end of the restaurant beside the service bar. Away from were most people were sitting.
The service started of well but the server seamed to go off on her break and we could see nobody to ask for another drink. Eventually someone came over to ask about desert at with stage we were full and had to drink the water instead of a nice glass of wine.
I am not a complainer but it was a very important night for our family, as are one and only son graduated from Trinity on Monday and the experience did put a damper on our day.
We went for Sunday Lunch on the 4th of November at 4.30pm. While I appreciate it was the late the room was almost empty. There was a number of tables of two to the right on the raised area, however we were placed at a table to the left on the raised area. To be honest it felt very isolated and awkward. There was no atmosphere and we both said- ah will we leave, but decided that in itself was awkward. We had intended on ordering the Fire Roast however we could not wait to leave.
So we ordered our food and left. There was nothing memorable about our food or service and we left 40 minutes later and €70 lighter.
We had a wonderful day in town doing some shopping and decided to book Fire last minute as we would have frequented a number of times, albeit it was in the evenings. I would not return for Sunday Lunch.
Bit of a wait beforehard, more than made up for the quality of the meal
We loved the ambient on the dinning room, and we loved the bar downstairs.
The food was really good!
The only bad thing it that we went to celebrate my husband's birthday, and I had asked for a small piece of cake or something with a candle, and no one did bring it to our table. This was very disapointing.
Steak tasting platter was outstanding. Service was excellent. Overall a great evening. Thank you.
Food fantastic very reasonable and staff very friendly and helpful ..
Great for a special occasion or just to treat yourself
Didn’t live up to expectation , totally overpriced for food that was served and service only average .
Our waiter was extremely rude. We felt like anything we queried was a stress to him and we were interfering. Wasn't friendly at all and there were times he rudely interrupted conversation to take plates away etc. We also saw him complaining about our orders as we didn't want a set menu (I had discussed this previously via Facebook). Anything we asked we felt like we were causing him pain and effort. He didn't smile once or ask if everything was okay and anytime he came over to the table it was as if it was the worst thing for him to do. The restaurants atmosphere is beautiful and the food is nice but the service we got was absolutely shocking and the fact we were made feel awful for asking for another menu when we had discussed this with someone else previously was awful. Do not recommend.
Service was poor, mains served and didn't see a waiter at the table for 45mins until I complained. No one had drinks during the main course. Sitting with empty plates for 30mins. Only collected when we asked then no menus for deserts or coffees. Then I complained to the manager about the service and he blamed the waiter.
Food was average for the price, prawns chewy and dry, my steak was under cooked and others mentioned the steak was over cooked.
When leaving no one offered to get jackets, no one said thank you or good bye after spending over €1000.
Overall very poor experience, would not go again and would not recommend.
The venue is beautiful, formerly the Mayor’s dining room ! Sat at the lovely downstairs bar for a drink and was looked after by very friendly staff. We were given a fantastic table in the dining room which is stunning. We had some confusion with our order but finally ordered and looked forward to our meal but this is where things went downhill. Everything we had was completely tasteless? We are still quite confused by this. We even tasted each other’s food for a second opinion and both agreed. We had salmon and garlic prawns for starter , both looked stunning but tasted of nothing. Our mains were roast chicken and sirloin with chips. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted quite nice but the chinky chips were not cooked and were really hard. The chicken looked great but tasted literally of nothing as did the gravy ? The sides were ok. We don’t ever write reviews and perhaps it was just an off day but how such beautifully looking food was so tasteless really was a mystery. The only other slight complaint would be the value for money. My wife’s garlic prawns starter and roast chicken was £44.50 , which even if the food was great tasting would be on the high side but the setting is amazing so perhaps it’s justified. All in all a great place to visit , going the extra mile on some lovely touches but the number one reason we go to restaurant is to eat and the food just does not live up to the rest of the experience.
Absolutely fabulous! Would highly recommend Fire to anyone 😀
Last minute booking on a Friday night, lovely food, nice atmosphere, good service, had a 15 minute wait, it was noisy hard to hear conversation at our table
Celebrated a collection of wedding anniversaries in our travel party to Ireland (35th, 30th and 25th). FIRE was recommended by our driver and it was a great recommendation. The ambiance, service, menu and value were all evident and lead to an enjoyable dinner!! Bey busy place so I’d recommend reservations through Open Table.
Fabulous place ambience staff food all excellent
Would highly reccomend this restaurant you feel you have been.out Nd had a lovely time .
Very central to Stephen's green
My friends got chicken cuisines (sorry I don't remember the name). It was very tasty but a sirlion steak was not the best than I expected.
In general it was a lovely atmosphere to hang out with friends.
Fantastic food, service and beautiful atmosphere
A lovely venue for a special meal, sunday lunch provided generous portions of favourite roasts with enough details to make them excellent. Special mention to the tobacco onions, steak and the mash potato. Some great flavours in the side dish of vegetables which were perfectly cooked. The strawberry icecream was stunning! All in all, really great food, beautiful dining space and the staff were fantastic.
Thought the food was overpriced for what you got. Room was very big and the noise level high , was expecting a different experience and something more special. It was my husbands birthday so I booked for a treat and didnt come away with that feeling. I wont be returning in the future.
Amazing food and cocktails ..Service was fabulous
such a wonderful experience
Lovely place with a great atmosphere, food, drink everything was excellent. My only complaint would be we made the reservation for 6:45pm becuase we had somewhere to be later that night but they they not bring us to our table until 7:20pm.
While the staff were very attentive and the atmosphere (in the room we were in) was elegant and quiet enough, the food was acceptable but not notable, especially for the price.
Went for my graduation dinner with my family! Food was delicious, service was very good and all the servers were kind and courteous. The ambience is amazing! Will definitely be back again!
Lovely celebratory meal in Fire last weekend. Three of us, all first time in Fire. Very enjoyable. Service excellent. Food was delicious. Couldn't fault a thing. Will definitely be back soon!
Our last meal in Dublin before traveling on to the west coast. Everything was first rate even though the restaurant was very busy. The staff all took care of us and the food was amazing. Top marks all around.
Brought some visiting US friends here and it was disappointing. We tried the early bird menu and while what we got was actually fine the servings were skimpy and looked mean. The service was very slow and inefficient- one waiter actually tipped the remains on my plate into my lap and barely apologised.
The noise level was so bad it was impossible to converse with those seated opposite us.
Really noisy place, service not so friendly, food was not amazing and I even had to return the dessert, it was an stale brownie.
Price - quality relation is bad.
