So this restaurant is currently under construction…and the sliding doors to the pool area are always open. If you don’t mind the smell of chlorine while you eat or the sound of screaming children then it’s great.
Courtney, our server was impeccable and the food is very good.
The noise level was atrocious due to active construction. They should close until the remodeling is done.
It was over an hour before we received our food. I have been there before and the experience was much better.
Service was good, however we had to return a steak twice for being over cooked. After waiting 15-20 minutes for a new steak (clearly, we were not made a priority), it also came to the table overcooked. We requested the meal to be comped, and even though the server agreed and apologized, we never saw a manager to ask if there was something else they could bring him to eat and still charged him for the tea he had while waiting for his meal. Needless to say, he left hungry and a little aggravated. We heard this was a five-star restaurant and looked forward to the birthday meal. I Feel prices are a too high for a restaurant that is clearly under renovations with limited seating and sitting next to a bar is not exactly five-star quality. We saw a group of kids going to the pool and the space outside the bar area is so open, that the noise level was ridiculous. Finally, the guest sitting next to us closed the door to soften the noise level, and with nowhere else to move, we all had to endure. Unfortunately, servers frequently had to go out to this area to serve other guests, so he closed the door at least 4 times before they finally tried to close it behind them. Again, prices need to be adjusted for the condition of the restaurant. We will not be returning.
Great food and exceptional service! Highly recommend
Good wine list with excellent bartending services. Ease of making reservations that were time friendly and checking in/being seated. Food presentation and flavor need worked on, but taste was decent enough. Shrimp and scallop polenta comes to mind with better plating, and preparing of polenta correctly. Potstickers were tasty, but once again, lacked any color or presentation. Salmon was perfect and yum. Crème brulee was fabulous and in house cheesecake divine, and plated well! Price point standard. As one of the few "finer" dining establishments on Springfield's northern end, wish they stepped up their game UP a notch, as would frequent this location more.
Was good food, however they were already cleaning up chairs and putting them up on high top tables and mopping the floors there, so noisy and it was a 7:00 reservation on a Tuesday evening. Waitress was good.
The server was very good. They did not have The ice for the ice bar. My brother had to order 4 times because they were out of food and had to keep coming back to tell him.
It was my 40 birthday and I wrote that on The open table comments. They did not know it was my birthday so that says to me that they don’t read the open table comments.
I think it was a little overpriced for what we got.
Had a good time and hope to try the ice bar sometime.
No seasoning on steak
46 dollars was way too much for that steak
So surprised -- needed a res for lunch before matinee of BEAUTIFUL and this place was wonderful. Rack of lamb excellent -- great salads too -- great service. Highly recommend.
Just not good food.
Three of us went to fire and ice for a business dinner. We ordered calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was the truest we have ever eaten when we shared this with the server she said oh they must’ve overcooked it. We saw her talking to the chefs but nobody ever came to the table to say anything about sorry for inappropriately preparing the appetizer and suggesting something else or taking it off the Bill. We usually judge a restaurant based on their response when something doesn’t go right and with no response we then gave this service rating a two even though the server was very responsive and pleasant. Then to the dinners. My one colleague very much enjoyed her seafood stew, my other colleague said her salmon was way over cooked and the sauce was extremely spicy and did not like her dinner. I ordered the lamb chops and the two lamb chops were large but one was much larger than the other and I ordered medium rare as is recommended for lamb the smaller of the two chops was almost well done and the larger of the two chops was rare. So it looks like they have a cooking time problem noting the overcooked salmon, the over and under cooked lamb and the over cooked calamari. We are working in the Springfield area for four months and we all said we will not be returning to this restaurant. Again, if the restaurant was truly a good place when a server turned something back to the chef and there’s no response back to the table we judge that as a mediocre to less than mediocre restaurant.
The parking lot needs to be better lit
The food was great, but $46 for a filet was a little pricey. Our waitress could have been a little more attentive, but all in all, I would go back again.
Fantastic surprise! At 4.3 it is underrated. I am sure people rate it low because of being in a hotel. That is unfortunate. Food was awesome, service great!
Overall unfortunately was an overall disappointment. Thought this was an upscale restaurant. Turns out it’s a trucker stop. Quality of food poor compared to pricing. Our service was good. Nothing against that. Will not go back, and will not recommend.
Service was great! Our server Jo was very attentive and so friendly. The cocktails made by Michael were to die for, and our meal was wonderful as a special date night outing! I had the tuna, but swapped out side for the grits and asparagus and my fiancee had the lamb and he couldn't stop raving about it and the carrots that he devoured.
Great service and food! It was an enjoyable Friday night with our family.
Food and service was good. Short staffed in the kitchen, but it was still a good experience.
The meal was very good. The desert ( cheese cake) was terrible but server took off out ticket. The service was excellent. The place is difficult to find your first time, it’s kind of hidden in a hotel/ convention center. We will return.
Great food. A little on the pricey side but well worth it!
Great getaway with the wife!!
Great waitress slightly high pricing a little on the hectic side but it was Saturday night with lots of families but overall food and service were great
Went here to celebrate my mom’s birthday. She ordered the lamb which is not easy to come by in Springfield. She was ecstatic! The lamb was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My son ordered the beef tip Mac & cheese appetizer for dinner. It was enough for him and he’s a 6 foot 23 yr. old. The beef was tender and delicious. Our group also had the duck and the seafood polenta. Both dishes were good. Service was excellent. We found this restaurant by accident. It was a happy one.
Overall the place did not look like the pictures. Ordered the steak med and it came out rare. The duck was cold. Service was good and the waitress tried hard to correct issues.
Everything was fantastic. We will be back again and again.
Great service and great food!!! I highly recommend this restaurant
Clean in a retro Palm Springs like hotel. Greeted n seated quickly and friendly. Server was quick and friendly and checked on us periodically She was best part of restaurant. Ordered spin dip, burger, and pad Thai Nothing was amazing. Fries were undercooked and oily/-didn’t eat Burger had raw onions instead of crispy onions and also oily. Spin sup has good flavor but also oily. Pad Thai was more a soup than a noodle dish. Flavor was not bad but just made bad and weird. As far as options in areA..did t have much to choose from so it is what is for a pit stop driving across country. Could be food place, but I think everything g was rushed to be made and not done w proper cooking. If they put a little effort it could be good It did seem like fresh ingredients though and prices are reasonable if food was made better
The best dry aged steak you’ll ever eat and absolutely loved the crab Rangoon pizza
It was a great experience. Great date night choice.
Delicious chef inspired dishes with great service. The flavors were perfectly paired & delivered with a smile!
Our waitress was outstanding. She went above and beyond.
Being Mother's Day, the restaurant only served buffet. The food was cold, service was poor, and the cost of the meal was $$$. We were very disappointed. Would not recommend and will never return to this restaurant.
Was surprised when we were seated in the center of the room on a heavy traffic thruway. Was even more shocked to learn it was a buffet! The facility is an older building that needs yet another make over.
Nice variety for a smaller lunch menu. We had to pass a Covid check at the hotel gate to get in but it was no big deal. The GREAT service and really tasty food made up for it. They were quite accommodating and reasonably priced. Would go back.
Great food, great service. OUTSTANDING experience
We were expecting to see the ice sculptures. If the website would have been updated we would not have wasted a long trip. Very disappointing.
Cheetos. Seriously? 26$ plate and there are crushed up cheetos on top. Had to send the calamari back, it felt like a lunchroom setting for me either the floor or the pool guests right outside all made it not a dining experience at all. service was terrible. BUT MANAGEMENT DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO TRY TO FIX THE SITUATIOON. i feel like this place has potential, and the manager is a great start!
Having travelled around the country and most of europe, coupled with being a foodie and trained chef- this place was hands down some of the best food we have ever eaten. The cajun was spot on, service was unmatched. Absolutely- GO AND ENJOY!!
The filet and the whiskey burger was wonderful. We will be back!
