Fire + Ice Boston Ratings and Reviews
Biggest waste of $20 in a long time.
The food looked of high quality prior to cooking, but the staff overcooked and burned every item of food. Every item of food tasted the exact same, of the cheap oil used for cleaning/cooking. Beef burgers, salmon, vegetables, chicken, rice and noodles all tasted the same. Very disappointing. Also far too loud and the table options for a party of 2 is far below par.
We were seeking a "kid friendly " place to enjoy a family meal after a day in Boston . Our reservation was for 5:30pm on a Saturday night . We had 8 people ( 3 young children) . Our seating was in a small circular alcove which required rearranging ourselves , climbing over our selves and crawling under the table ( the kids ) each time we left and came back with salads , main course or bathroom trip. The background music was a pounding hip-hop beat and the noise level so excessive that you had to shout at table mates. The wait person was friendly but service was tardy and needed constant reminder. The waitress was over whelmed .
The method of meal selection and prep is self guided and required many personal trips to the food selection stations and to the group food preparation area. The grabbing of food items by all diners was not a hygienic arrangement .
Bottom line....I would never dine here again and would not recommend Fire & Ice to any one desiring great food and a memorable or even pleasant dining experience.
Welcoming staff were rude. They did not even read the special requests that was included in the reservation and refused to accommodate. Buffet was mediocre with only stir fry type selections. Waiter was ok but interaction was poor. Mixed drink were terrible, the Margarita was all tequila. Bud Lite draft was flat.
The 4 of us were visiting Boston from the UK for our daughters 30th birthday treat, we were looking for somewhere near the Boston Park Plaza Hotel to have dinner. I found Fire and Ice through Google Maps and the whole experience was very different but great fun.
We had a good time. We were seated by the grill, which was a bit warm and crowded. But it was 6pm on a Saturday so the crowd and noise was expected. Everything else was good. Service was friendly prompt and accurate. Food was cooked well and tasty. The chefs were nice. The music fun. And I thought it was reasonably priced. We'll return.
our dining experience had a little bit of a problem in the beginning but thanks to our amazing waiter King and the on site manager we could not have had a better time.the food was delicious
and the manager checked on us a couple of times to make sure we were happy . King was very attentive and was very helpful with suggestions for dinner creations .we had a great time and will definitely go back.
Dinner was ok. We were seated 10-15 minutes past our reservation time. Raw bar variety was limited - our reservation was for 9:45pm and by the time we were seated around 10pm a lot of the buffet was picked through and not refilled. The food was very good, but definitely overcooked - I suppose to be safe and avoid undercooking the meat. Still, the chefs should have been able to prepare the meat either medium or medium rare and everything was well done. Even at well done the food was very good. Overall it is worth the price, staff were very friendly.
I had a reservation for 5 at 8:15pm. Was told by the host that it would be a few minutes, as they were very busy, but because I had a reservation, I would get a table. After waiting 2 hours and watching other, larger groups that had arrived after us get seated ahead of our group, I went to speak to the host. As I was waiting to speak to him, he was telling a group that he would seat them immediately because they were unhappy. We left out of frustration and disbelief. Completely wasted our entire night. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone I know, and I will be leaving negative reviews to every media I can find. Thanks for nothing.
Fire & Ice was fantastic. Great selection of food, watch your food be cooked with a well organized chef crew, that was very polite and helped or answered anything you asked, even joked with you on occasion. One chef did alittle showmanship maybe add some more. Wait staff needs alittle help. Saw our waitress twice during the whole dinner. However, all in all great place to go eat.
They don't know how to manage....reservations are clearly an after thought. They shouldn't take them because they don't build the schedule around them and the manager spends all his time apologizing for the extra wait. We purposely arrived an hour before our reservation so they were aware we are in the building. Thankfully i was in good company because w were seated for a9pm reservation at 9:42pm. Place was a bit messy, down and up stairs. Our server was very kind and helpful, but the billing process is confusing. We're foodies and have high ish standards. This place didn't fit the bill. We're not going back.
Exciting, but disappointing. I went years ago but my boyfriend never has, so we made the trip into Boston to check it off our list. I regret putting shrimp in my meal, because the chefs just slice everything up - so we both ended up with shrimp tail (shells) scattered throughout our plates. Yuck. The drinks (Mango daiquiri and a House Red Bull vodka drink) tasted like cough syrup.
I took my daughter and three of her friends for her birthday. Our waiter was fantastic! He took us to the food selection area and explained the whole process to us. When we were ready to have our food cooked there was another staff member assisting us where to go. While we waited for our food to be cooked, one of the chefs announced it was my daughter's birthday and the whole place sang to her (she loved every minute of it)! The kids went up two or three times to try different combinations and finished off their meal with the sundae bar.
The food was great and the price is right. We'll definitely be back for another meal!
