Fire + Ice Boston
Food quality is poor. Service is rude.
It was my family's first time there and we loved it! We would definitely go back and we would definitely recommend it to a friend!
Great place that needs to have other locations...near me
Noisy all-you can eat place where customer does most of the work -- go around to different places to fill your bowl with various meat, fish, and veggies, and choice of many different sauces. Then you take it to a central grill where cooks prepare it on a huge flat grill. Poor quality meat, usually overcooked. Smokey and loud. Maybe fun for kids.
Food and selection were good. Steak was cooked a bit more than I prefer.
Everything was great but the space of the venue is not so accommodating to the number of people in attendance. Took about 30 minutes after our scheduled time to get a table. Seating was so close that you were practically shoulder to shoulder with the party sitting next to you. Other than that, the service and the food was great.
we were seated very close to our rebesation time and asked if we had ever been here and needed a tour. it was very loud with the music blasting not much of a date night spot. drinks were ok didnt order a second one for the price.
Our server didn’t give us utensils, didn’t offered more water and looked lost.
Btw the food was great, loved the music and the experience
My only comment is that we were sat at a table against the middle pole that was very small. I felt like my stuff was in other people’s space and that getting up to get more food was a hassle. This of course is minor and the food was amazing!
Super fun, lots of great ingredients, lots of great sauces. Very loud, and it's hard to socialize, because half your party is off getting food at any given time will the other half is eating. Go for the food, not as a social experience.
Fire and Ice is always a good time. We have been going for many years now, recently have seen a lot of new staff which can/cannot be a good thing. I'd say they have packed way too many tables in the restaurant and it is hard to maneuver throughout. Love the fact you pay for only the food you decide you want and not what comes standard on plate
Love it! Super fun and delicious! We always go when we go into the city.
This place is crazy packed and the tables are too close to one another it basically feels like your sitting on your neighbors lap
Been there many times and I have never had a bad or even a semi bad experience. I will always come back to this location.
Great location. Had an amazing time. Well worth it.
The place was kinda ghetto. The waitstaff just sat at the computers right near us and we’re having conversations, loud conversations. Never was asked how everything was. Never really explained the concept the the whole thing. Wasn’t that much of a choice of food to cook. Then waiting in line for our food to be cooked was crazy.
Always consistent food. Fun atmosphere, great food.
Overall it was okay. The food was good and drinks were good but the service was poor. We were seated and waited 15 minutes to order a drink, ended up giving up and went to get food. Once we got food and sat down still no server. We had to go ask if we could get some drinks to the group of servers all chatting with one another. Don’t expect much customer service here if you are dining upstairs
The food was good but the experience was not. I took a group of students. We looked up the restaurant beforehand and the price was just over $20. We just happened to be there on Valentine's Day. What the website didn't tell us and they did not tell us in advance when we made reservations was that they were running a couples Valentine's special that included the meal, drink, and desert. This brought each persons individual total up to $35. The manager would not allow us to opt out of the special even though the majority of the people drank water and were not interested in the desert. We had planned accordingly based on the website information. Increasing the meal price in turn increased the mandatory 18% tip for the group. My students did not plan for a meal almost twice what we had expected. This was a horrible way to do business. The manager should have allowed our group to order the regular meal or they should have advertised their mandatory special on their website beforehand. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone based on the customer service.
Loved the food and the service it was the best night of our lives love Boston
Food was meh. All pasta and not much else. Very underwhelming. Will not be back. Service was prompt and ambiance was nice. For $12.99 not a bad value but dont take a date here.
Definitely need to make a reservation ahead of time. Made one for 830, didn’t get seated right away. There were a lot of people and some points a double line to get to the grill. Other than that worth the price and food is always great
Seating happened very quick but you have to have your entire party there. Noise level was very loud but its Saturday night. Glad we left at 9 because it became over crowded and they had to make a double line for food to be cooked so if you have a large party 7 or before is a pretty good time to go for dinner and be out within the 2 hour usual stay time before it becomes over whelming. And the ice cream bar is NOT free. $6 so be aware when grabbing from that station.
It's been my favorite for over 20 years and the quality and fun factor has not waivered. My kids love go for their first time. And the adult cherry lemonade..sooo good
My family and I had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to really make our Surprise Birthday party memorable. We had a group of 9 from ages 5 to 65 and they surprised my 29-year-old son with a bowl of ice cream and a candle which I didn't expect at all. The atmosphere was fun and the music low enough to have our own lively discussions. You know I'm having a great time when I dance in my seat while eating my food. I really appreciated the grill master taking time out to engage my young son to make sure he was having fun and that his hot dog was made to perfection! The entire group said they will return with friends! Bring a light sweater in case you are seated by an air vent.
Great food made by great chefs. When in Boston. Only restaurant we go to
All you can eat, create your own dishes cooked in front of you. I have a Chinese dish followed by Alfredo pasta. Any sauce and toppings you want. Amazing value! Only around $12 per person. Highly recommend.
We met with friends from Scotland and wanted to show them an unique Boston experience. They liked it and we all had a wonderful experience. The food was great and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud for us to converse. Our server was the best!!!!!!!!!
Went after the patriots victory parade, place was packed. Food was excellent and so was the service. Our waiter, David, was fantastic. Highly recommend !
My daughter chose this restaurant to celebrate her 15th birthday dinner with friends. We had five 15 year old girls and they gave rave reviews on the restaurant. They loved the atmosphere and the interactive dining experience. The large grill is really something to see! We happened to go on a Saturday night, so the place was really busy/lively. We had a reservation and they put us at a very nice table, a little secluded from the higher traffic areas near the food. Even though the restaurant was full, we didn't wait longer than a couple of minutes to fill our bowls or to get a spot on the grill. The girls got some of the mocktails and really enjoyed being able to create their own meal(s). The food options are incredibly healthy - you can create a vegan meal, a paleo meal, a carnivore meal, etc. They offer sauces to add if you desire, but can also just season with fresh peppers and onions offered at the vegetable market area. We had a very good experience!
Birthday party waiter was not good overall good experience
It’s a great experience being able to put together your own meal from scratch then watching the chefs cook it on the grill. My favorite is off the menu, the buffalo calamari. My only set back was that it was single digits outside and the booth that we had was very cold that day. I’ve never experienced that but I love the service there overall.
We came on a fanstastic snowy night where the crowd was too a minimum. My boyfriend purposed to me and the AMAZING cooks and dishwashers fished my ring out of the toilet (he was a little nervous!). The staff was very attentive and we will certainly be returning! Thank you to all for giving me the most memorable night of my life!
We really appreciated being given the semi-private room as we were celebrating a significant birthday. Everyone enjoyed the event tremendously. It was fairly priced and the only comment was to be sure to tell the chef if you don't want your food well done.
Fire and Ice was a long time favorite of mine when my kids were babies. After taking them to Blue Man Group, I thought it would be a great 'big kid' experience. Sadly, Fire and Ice is not what it used to be. The building is tired, my booth was duct taped, and overall it had an unclean feeling to it. The food selection was not that great- offering very little vegetable options, a sad looking meat selection and less than desirable sauces; even the salad bar was set up oddly- with dressings in random placement.... Our server was not attentive, failed to bring clean silverware, or leave what was used; and made many errors on the bill- one of which was charging me for 5 adults when clearly I had two children! I was disappointed and left feeling sad that perhaps Fire and Ice has seen its day.
Made a reservation for my daughters 18th birthday dinner with her friends... THEY LOVED IT! They all raved about their 3 entrees they got and the fun experience. They spend over 2.5 hours there and the staff was amazing. They even sang happy birthday to her and gave her a dessert and candle!
Food was good. A lot to choose from. Drinks were excellent. Too crowded and was given wrong food.
Excellent service and food, we definitely will go back when in Boston again.
Great place and very reasonably priced. Only negative would be the overall cleanliness. Seems like it has been quite some time since their last deep cleaning.
I was there Saturday night, I made a reservation online and resquested s booth, once I got there I told the hostess that I would prefer a booth if there was any available. If there wasn’t it wouldn’t be a problem!! she didn’t acknowledge anything I said to her she sat me a table didn’t say anything at all and left! She was very rude and dismissive! The food is always great on the plus side
