Fire & Grain
A typical convention type restaurant iwth very loud bar noise.
The food and drinks (Chocolate Signature Martinis) are out of this world
Buffet was all dried out.
Not one of my favorite restaurants in Hershey. I wanted to try something new. It wasn't horrible, but I probably won't go back. It was pretty pricey. I got the seafood skillet and I wasn't a fan. My boyfriend got the rib eye and really liked it. The restaurant was filled with loud children, so it wasn't a great date night.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Our server Justin was friendly and attentive and my apple spinach and arugula salad was perfect - chock full of different flavors - sometimes dinner salads are mostly lettuce! Nice atmosphere, lively bar. Will go back should we stay at the Lodge again.
I have to say I was surprise at the poor service at this one. I was expecting much more from the Hershey Lodge. We had an early reservation 6pm on a Saturday night so we could enjoy our dinner. I used to be a server, so I get it. Not sure if they were short staffed. It didn't seem like it. We saw our server maybe 3 times. Never came back for additional drinks , if the food was Ok , dessert or anything. Finally had to flag her down for a check. Shame because the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.
We love Fire & Grain and will be back in the future for sure (great food, excellent service and good atmosphere)
Always good food, great service, no long waits.
The service was very good. I had the seafood skillet which had 2 scallops, one little lobster claw which you could eat in one bite and two shrimp while it was very tasty, the price of $27 seemed extreme as did all the entrees we had. The service and atmosphere were very nice the value port
Great happy hour app and drink deals. The food was amazing, we had dinner and breakfast here!
Very quick service. We sat down, ordered, and ate within 45 minutes. Love that when you have a 3 year old toddler. What a great experience. Great place for family. Great atmosphere with good food.
Buffalo chicken meatballs were delish!
The place was larger than I thought. We were greeted by a frendly staff and our waitress was attentive and very pleasant. The food was very good. We enjoyed the flatbread for a starter and although the lobster mac n cheese was good I didn't think it was cheesey enough. I do have to say I took home some of it and it heated up great.
It was a good value for being able to be in the lodge and not having to go anywhere else after a long day at Hershey park.
Restaurant was busy but the waitstaff kept the experience flowing along nicely. We didt have any extended wait periods between ordering and being checked in on for the next course. Food was very exceptional and very aesthetically pleasing our waitress, Jessica, was very pleasant and helpful. Her cheery demeanor definitely added a sparkle to our enjoyable evening. The Old Fashioned drink on the menu had a few unique twists and could have been enjoyable to the average person but as a old fashioned snob it wasnt up to my exacting standards. The fire in the center of the room definitely helped to add to the relaxing atmosphere. The Cherry cobbler and Limoncello to go were also big hits along with the rest of the wine to make this night a perfect 10
Great meal at The Hershey Lodge. Menu offers something for everyone, fresh delicious meals.
In a theme park town the restaurant was a welcome change from fast food.
Very unorganized and seemed to be in constant chaos. I overheard servers talking about their tips and complaining about their managers. Seems strange for such a large company to have management issues. I hope they figure their problems out soon because it’s such a nice restaurant and the food is great. The food and kitchen were great but the servers and other staff are immature and greedy.
It was the equivalent of cafeteria food.
My daughter had the Mac and cheese and it tasted like the noodles were cooked in dirty water.
The pizza was dry and barely had any sauce on it.
Overall a terrible meal and the service was lackluster
Food was delicious. We had the Mac-and-cheese app which was great. A friend had a flatbread another had a burger. Both were very happy. I had the spinach and quinoa salad which was fresh and flavorful. I added shrimp and was happy to see it was cooked well. Nice variety on the menu and nice to see there are options for those who are health-conscious or have nut allergies. Service was great. Ambiance was warm as well.
Couldn’t ask for a better experience
The buffet breakfast is a great value when combined with an overnight stay package at the Hershey Lodge. Be sure to stuff your face in to keep you held over before you heading to the park. I love their French toast. It's made just the way I like it, dense and thick.
Also, if you get a cup of coffee at the Coffee Beanery, save you cup and fill it up with the pot of coffee that they put in your table-it's the same coffee and it will save you $.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would gladly return!
Food was good, very tasty. We had a great burrata and bread app and a flatbread with crab. Taste great and fresh. Could have used a sauce. Drinks were ok. A lot of kids being a family resort, so it was loud.
I didn't expect this to have such a casual atmosphere but given that, I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It was very very good! We had the burrata toast as an appetizer, seafood mac and cheese and swordfish for entrees. All the food was very flavorful and fresh. Even the bread and butter brought out at the beginning was very nice. The drinks were delightful as well!
Kathie was a great server, so pleasant and welcoming! The breakfast buffet had so many choices and everything was so delicious. We really enjoyed our service and meal.
Andrew was a great server! Pleasant and efficient and answered all our questions. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were able to sit immediately which was great because we were starving. All of the food was delicious!
I'm not a big fan of restaurants owned and operated by the Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company. They offer average ambience and average food and are clearly catering to the tourists. The Mother's Day buffet was simply average for the cost. We will not likely be returning.
We made a reservation for breakfast for Mother’s Day after reading the menu. When we arrived we were then informed that they would only provide a buffet - no menu ordering. There was poor communication about this Awww would have made a reservation somewhere else.
The buffet was not well maintained and the food supply was not well stocked. It was noisy. Servers were not that attentive.
The food is AMAZING !!!
The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable.
The food was unusual in some respects but with interesting and tasty combinations. Service was excellent. My only down side was there was a constant bass drum beat that was really annoying.
We booked this place on Open Table based on the rating and description. However, when we got there we learned that it was buffet only on weekends (Saturday Morning) The buffet had lots to offer and eggs cooked to order. The place was noisy with families getting ready for a day at Hershey Park. Had we known in advance we wouldn't have selected this place for a quaint home cooked breakfast. We at least were able to get a glimpse of Hershey lodge.
Desiree was awesome, she was engaged, kind, and helpful. The room was very cold (in temperature). Wish I had brought a jacket.
Fire & Grain is certainly convenient if you're staying at Hershey Lodge and want something nicer than their Cocoa Beanery take-out. The buffet breakfast is supplemented by made-to-order eggs, which we took advantage of. The servers were friendly and attentive. The buffet had a good selection of baked goods, fresh fruit, breads, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc. But, if you don't have a big enough appetite, it's a little pricey. If you have not finished your coffee (which is included in the price), ask for a to-go cup!
Amazing food with a very nice and relaxing vibe. Perfect for a date night or dinner with the family. Service is friendly, quick and helpful and the food from appetizer to dessert was fantastic
The food all taste terrible. I ordered the salmon grill and it had no taste. Nobody even came by to ask how we are doing. Terrible service.
Great variety on the menu and delicious food! Great for groups with the sharable plates. Good value as portions are generous.
Food was decent. Couldnt hear anything the noise was out of control. Service was terrible. Waitress we had didnt check in on us to see if our drinks were empty. Once the food came out they practically threw the plates at us. Left the appetizer plate so the small table was completely over loaded. Then after the meal was finished we waited about 20 minutes to get our check. After we finally left the restaraunt we went to the bar which was relatively empty and the service there was also bad. It was an overall disaster.
Selection and quality of food was great. We did the breakfast buffet. It was a busy, noisy meal with lots of families, but that is to be expected. There was really no wait for any of the food and it was well stocked. Our waitress was great about getting us our coffees and juices and checking on us throughout the meal. We will return!
Wonderful Happy Hour and valet service a plus.
We ate at breakfast buffet twice. The food was good & our server was very pleasant. We would definitely eat there again
Always a perfect experience- Sticky Bread is amazing!!!
Yummy flat bread pizza, little pricey for what it is but that’s expected for a resort restaurant.
