We came here because of the previous reviews regarding some of the best fried chicken in the French Quarter. We agree, the food is excellent along with the service from the very welcoming staff. We were impressed with how steaming hot the chicken was to its core but the outside wasn’t burnt at all. Crispy, juicy goodness and the fries were some of the best we have had this trip also.
The decor was funky and reminded us of similar favorite places back home.
We would happily return to Fiorella’s when back in New Orleans.
Party of 8 with varying tastes. Everything was good, morning was great. We for seated upstairs which we want great. The poor server doesn’t have a station up there and they have to run up and down the stairs for everything. Charbroiled oysters, fried chicken, burger, salad, jambalaya and boudin balls were had. It was dark and quiet upstairs, which facilitated nice conversation. Probably wouldn’t go back as there are so many other options.
One of our favorites for fried chicken. We try to go every time we go to New Orleans. And the price is right.
Open table allowed reservation at 10pm even though they close at 10. It was net years eve and birthday celebration., thankfully they were accommodating.
Laid-back, casual spot with friendly service. The burger and fried chicken were great—just what we were looking for
Understaffed and under served. New Years/ Sugar Bowl shouldve had more staff.
The establishment was closed!!
We were happy to stop by for dinner one evening. With a small child in tow, the staff treated us well and make us feel at home.
Open Table went down. No cold beer. No crab bisque. Disappointing except for the excellent fried chicken as usual & red beans & rice. Somebody needs to whip this place into shape.
I made a reservation twice and both time we went to the restaurant they were not open. If they are going to continue using the opentable app then they should add their hours to the app so you can’t make reservations when they are closed. We planned two days in a row to eat there and walked a mile to get there. Very disappointed.
Slow service. Food ok but not great.
Great food and I loved the ambience! Well worth the price and we will definitely be back.
I had a reservation for 9:30, but was not seated for 25 minutes. A party of 14 that arrived 10 minutes after me took priority. Others that were waiting behind me left, as they were never greeted. The restaurant was not crowded at this time, but there were only 2 wait staffers!?! Requested a cocktail and would you believe the bar did not have a rye whiskey or Makers Mark. My waiter tried to make amends by being attentive; doing his job. Unfortunately, he forgot my appetizer or perhaps the kitchen had run out of it? This would rate as one of my worst experiences.
Amazing southern fried chicken in a casual atmosphere.
During my week in NOLA, Fiorella's was the worst meal. Bad service, terrible food. They are known for fried chicken, so we ordered it. My chicken was still pink inside and the biscuit was cold, like they had just taken it out of the fridge. Terrible!! I ordered an iced tea and the food server said they didn't have any brewed and she couldn't find the bags so she couldn't make it. Bad customer service.
The service was fantastic and the fried chicken lived up to its reputation.
Will be back.
Best fried chicken ever
Excellent service, good food and atmosphere. I really enjoyed our Easter Brunch.
Menu on open table is not what was offered at the restaurant.
Great place, we were 10 of us and all had great food (vegetarian too), with a lovely casual vibe to relax and chat in.
Crawfish fritters and fried chicken very tasty. Fried green tomatoes too bready. Fine service.
Loved this place. Fun, funky atmosphere. Amazing food, inexpensive, best value in the Quarter.
We booked a 9:00 reservation last minute as their menu had good variety, but when we got there, the entree menu was far smaller than what was shown online. We had the Crawfish Beignets and they were great, but was looking for something not fried our 4th night in NOLA. For entree's we had meat loaf and shrimp étouffée, the only non-fried items on the entree menu and they were very good. The service was spot on, attentive, but not annoying. The only reason I keep the rating to "good" was the very different menu than was was posted online.
Food was good but not much variety if you cannot eat seafood. They did offer fried chicken but advised that the chicken was being removed in a week. The house salad was excellent. No merlot available - only cabernet. Service was very good, nice atmosphere, restrooms also very clean.
This is an old restaurant going through an ownership change. They didn’t have about a third of the menu items available. Place was quiet...due to a lack of business. Hope new owners will make much needed changes...but keep Poppy around as a server. She was really good.
We were there with my whole family for my wedding weekend it was so gun and the food was amazing!!! Thank you Fiorellas!!!!!
The menu at the restaurant was not like the menu on the Open table app . Not too much to select from
We made the reservation same day and were turned away. They declined to honor the reservation. They told us they cut off reservations the day before yet Open Table allowed us to make the reservation. Fiorella's staff seemed completely disinterested in trying to accommodate us.
Simple menu of local cuisine, well executed & reasonably priced. Nice location with a friendly staff. Good drinks. I'd eat/drink there again.
I was disappointed for the first time. Fiorello’s has been a favorite for a long time. The evening started with them not having my reservation even though I had a confirmation on my phone. Next they have made some subtle changes that have taken some of the charm out of the experience. Little things like individual iced tea decanters make a difference. My favorite dessert (the merangue cake) is no longer a staple. Even the fried artichokes weren’t as good as usual. I’m not saying I’ll never go back but I hope it becomes special again.
