Fiorella is a Neigborhood Italian restaurant in the heart of the Richmond district. We serve wood fired pizza, pasta, antipasti & Italian vino in a casual neighborhood setting.
What Insiders Are Saying
A modern pizza place that's a great addition to the Richmond.
Our very first visit but definitely not our last...:0) Had the octopus, meatballs and a pizza. Lovely...:0)
It's now my 3rd time to Fiorella. The first time was absolutely amazing, the second was mediocre, and unfortunately, the 3rd will be my last. I'm not sure if they turned chefs, but everything we had was sub par. I do still love the space, and I'm sure they'll be fine without my business.
Always amazing. I’m a local and this place is a new mainstay here.
Best pizza On. The. Planet. Go now. Eat pizza. Go back. Repeat.
We had a great dining experience at Fiorella. I was able to book dinner on the patio (replete with heaters) and the setting, noise level, food were all great. I might add that the vegetarian options were exceptional (farro salad, asparagas with deconstructed egg salad, pizza) and the dessert (ricotta cake with fruit) divine. Our only suggestion is that the chef consider allowing substitution of an alternate cheese on the burger - many people do not care for American cheese and allowing provolone or chedder (already offered on other items on the menu) does not seem unreasonable. Overall a splendid dining experience
Super tasty. I've been a few times. One of my favorite Italian spots. Excellent.
While I love the restaurant and we dine here frequently, our server was not very friendly. Her service was fine, but she was quite cool and didn’t smile or spend even a moment chatting with us. It just felt far too aloof in style for a place as great as this. I know everyone has off days, so maybe that’s why. Still, kind of a bummer when you’re spending a decent amount.
Made a reservation for 2 and noted it was for a birthday.
Walked in at 10:20. Door was open. Told to come back in 10 min as restaurant not open til 10:30am. Asked if we could sit on the side, as I had a knee injury and a cane. Told this was not allowed. Weather cold, windy. Returned at 10:35 after sitting in coffee shop across the street. Seated immediately , but told coffee cup we had brought in could not be on the table. Water brought immediately. Waiter fine. Ordered bacon and eggs and pasta carbonara. Eggs over salted. Bacon not crispy. Had 2 bites of pasta. Pasta sauce very rich, too thick and vastly over salted. Advised staff - ?chef, not waiter. No acknowledgement of complaints. Paid bill and left soon after. No mention was made of a birthday. Very disappointed in this restaurant.
Perhaps if we had ordered drinks.
Fiorella is fantastic! Pizza is amazing, incredible crust and they give generous pours on the drinks. One of my husband and i’s favorite neighborhood spots.
I love Fiorella. We had the arancini, a delicious salad, and the burrata pizza. Yummy. They have a really nice selection of wines as well. Fun atmosphere and good service. It's my second time there and can't wait to go back.
Excellent meal as always. Pizza and pasta were delicious and perfectly prepared. The one minor exception were a few spears of the asparagus, which were a bit woody. Service a bit slow and inattentive this time. Would come back here a LOT more often if budget allowed. Highly recommend Fiorella!
Fantastic - as it has been on all our visits! Shared many plates between friends. Standouts were: asparagus, little gems salad (yes, a salad makes the list), cacio e pepe, and lamb sausage. I also appreciate the varied and approachable wine list.
Fiorella is a family favorite with amazing food and quick service. I was there with teens and I noticed they definitely condescended to is and wanted to turn our table very quickly probably for people who would be ordering alcohol. Overall, great as always but need to change their attitude/service towards kids.
Great food but we were rushed being the 2:15 reservation...maybe not have a 2:15 reservation if you’re going to shut down the food and bar before your evening. Have your last reservation 1:30/1:45
Super loud. Food is great. Service is good.
The food and wine were good. The wait staff (Natalia) were nice and attentive. However, it took more than 35 minutes to receive my dinner (pizza) which is a long time to wait for pizza .... Fiorella's was providing a lot of take out and that seemed to consume the kitchen's attention. The line on Saturday was very small and tables were available.
What a great find in the neighborhood with delicious food, good wine choices that are unique vs. the same as everyone else, a team that works very hard to take care of diners, a space the is bright and clean and well laid out. My only issue is that the seats are solid wood and they aren't the most comfortable, but then we stayed much longer than we should have!! A true gem that is well worth going to and going back to.
The service is impeccable! The team is amazing and the food is great and fresh!
This is a neighborhood gem! The pasta dishes are all quite tasty and excellent - comfort food and just the right portion size. We tried a variety of starters (carrots, fava bean/pea crostini, borlotti beans+kale, and the suppli) which were all hearty and delicious. Great wine list too! We will come back next time to try the pizzas!
It was very busy but we had reservations and were seated right away. The waitress took our order without much delay although it seemed like a long time for the food to arrive. When it did it was excellent! The place is noisy but has a good vibe. We'd go there again in a heartbeat.
Great food, great service! Loved everything about this place! We’ll be back for sure.
Went here for our daughter’s graduation and it was a perfect choice. The food was delicious and the room wasn’t so precious that we felt we couldn’t get a little loud and have a good time. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and I would come back again.
Love this place!! Excellent staff! The best pasta :)
Excellent service only surpassed by the delicious food.
Service and the food are always amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great neighborhood place in the Richmond. Delicious brunch - excellent service.
As a brunch-hater, I didn't expect much. Especially not from a place known for wallpaper worth stealing and Zagat-listed best pizza.
Walking in, however, my mind was changed even before I sat down. The wallpaper IS worth stealing. The food on people's tables looked amazing. It wasn't all heavy eggs Benedict and bacon-laden quiche, and the customers were neighbors rather than loud-talking, pretentious bros. The atmosphere was fun, not bright, not like anywhere else, and seemed buzzy in a good way. Like they're not going to screw it up and they may actually all like working here, too.
The pizza was not greasy or heavy, the wings, French toast and egg dishes we ordered were delicious and perfect - not too much flavor, but not too precious. The best thing on the table was the Smoked Trout Toast. We all kept tasting it. We couldn't exactly figure out what it contained. Just crunchy, fresh, delicious, flavorful, creamy and bright, and smoky pieces of trout. We could figure that out. What looked like Cole slaw was shaved green apples, chunks of celery root, watermelon radishes, all on top of some fancy lemon aioli. Sort of Cole slaw but if Cole slaw was created by Alice Waters.
I still hate brunch but this was something way beyond brunch. No eggs Benedict or greasy sauces, no servers who weren't at the total top of their game and gosh-darned happy about working there, no mistakes, no waiting, no reason to not love going out except the fact that, being local and definitely within walking distance, it's going to be too easy to spend all my non-tech-bro money here.
Delicious food and wonderful service
Nice place, good service, seated near the kitchen. Appetizers were good, pasta was good, pizzas were dry and needed more sauce or cheese. Too many bites of just dry pizza crust without toppings. We had the sausage and fennel, and also the mushroom. Overall our first experience was ok and we would try it again hoping for better pizza.
A very good Italian spot in the Richmond district...a very broad antipasti menu loaded with great choices...the problem is narrowing it down to two or so to share. Guess we'll have to go back several times more to taste them all. The pastas are outstanding...on the most recent menu the paparadelle w/pork is outstanding as is the bucatini pomodoro. We recommend it highly, but make a reservation.
It’s not the neighborhood place it used to be. Service is rushed and food takes too long. I miss the old Fiorella that was my neighborhood go to.
Really liked this place even though my low-carb diet didn’t permit their specialties (pasta and pizza). We really enjoyed the asparagus appetizer and my chicken Milanese was excellent. My friend took a lot of her pork chop home but really enjoyed it. And excellent service in a heated courtyard, at a reasonable price for this level of food.
Amazing service from both the host and waitress- the Cacio e pepe, bucatini, and Panna cotta are absolutely to die for!! Fiorella will always be one of my favorites
Enjoyed the food and service. Great place in the neighborhood!
Fantastic! Gus was great and extremely helpful.
Great place and lovely people there. A very "now" place. Wallpaper is something to enjoy - very clever. Pizzas are outstanding and other sides are definitely flavorful, but overall, it IS pricey.
great service, delicious food, wonderful people. my favorite spot in the richmond!
I took my boyfriend to Fiorella for his birthday and we had an amazing experience! We started with the suppli al telefono and the wood fired octopus. They were both so flavorful and well balanced. We scraped up every last bit of the sauces, they were so good.
Then for entrees we had the clam pie, spicy salami pie and the spaghetti with pepper and Parmesan. The pizzas had a perfect thin crust and the clam one was a light lemony creamy pizza with cooked clams. The spicy salami was more classic and was very satisfying without being too heavy. The pasta with the pepper and Parmesan is buttery and perfectly cooked.
For dessert we had the chocolate gelato with hazelnuts and they treated us with a big piece of banana bread that they normally serve at breakfast. Everything we ate was perfect, we had no complaints. Service was great as well, our waitress was very sweet and even took our picture after dinner.
I would be, and have been, recommending this to everyone.
Wonderful gem in the Richmond.
If you enjoy thin crust pizza Fiorella had a tasty selection. Will be back.
I love this place! Best food, great ambiance! Romantic and fun.
