Fiorella Italian Kitchen
The menu has change tremendously. I used to be a huge fan of the lasagna. That is the reason why I came last night to satisfy my lasagna craving. It was by far the worst I’ve eaten in a while. The recipe is completely different. It had so much sauce on it, it made it difficult to eat. Other than that, which was major for me, I’d say it was a 2 star experience. Service was good. I didn’t complain about the food and the server didn’t inquire why no one ate their food.
OK. Food was OK. Pizza was very good, Shrimp Alfredo good, Salmon was very dry and tasted very fishy. Very Good Service.
We went here for a bachelorette dinner the first night in town, we were greeted with a glass of champagne. Service was so great, Alexander was awesome! Loved it so much we came back the next day. The hospitality of the staff and especially Alexander was awesome, definatly will go back!
They do have gluten free pasta and can sub-out most of the pasta dishes for gluten free ingredients (marina sauce, meat sauce etc.) which is always nice to find. I did get the spaghetti with gluten free pasta and it was average. Not too flavorful though, rather bland.
The others who joined me got pizzas and seemed to like them and they looked good but I can't comment on that.
The wait staff was a little flippant though. It took quite a while to get our drinks at the bar, and we had to flag down someone for water to be refreshed. Oh and although I got pasta, no one gave my cutlery so I asked the gentleman who brought the food. He never brought them so I finally flagged someone else down and it took forever.
It was incredibly loud, so if you're looking to actually speak with the people you're dining with maybe sit outside where there aren't as many tables.
Overall, I give this place a 3 out of 5. Food, staff and ambiance was all just average.
Our waiter was great always there when we needed but not crowding us. Great night
Best pizza in town!
This is more a pizza joint than an Italian Kitchen. Was very disappointed. I ordered the Fiorella Salad and noticed that the things stated on the menu weren’t in the salad. So I asked about them, and the server told me that they don’t put those things in the salad any more; and specifically, the burrata was out of stock. Isn’t this something that should have been mentioned when I ordered it? Also had the Alfredo which was pretty standard, nothing special. I wish that I ordered the pizza.
Creme Brulee was horrible. It is not even close to anyone's idea of what this should be. The texture was also weird. I had the Lasagna and it was OK. The recipe has changed from when they originally opened and it should have stayed the same. Atmosphere and ambiance is very nice. Location has great views.
The waitress couldn’t get the drink orders correct, the pasta was either red sauce or cheese based, the server basically through my colleagues entree at her, the entree came on the heals of the salads, the ravioli was watery because it had been frozen, waitress couldn’t tell the difference between Pinot noir versus Pinot Grigio....it was a last minute decision to dine here. Should have just gone to Chipotle or something similar. Garbage.
Food wasn't worth what I payed. It was runny and not much favor
had a great experience at Fiorella's. I called twice to confirm that we could get a slice of birthday cake with a candle for my sister's birthday, and I was assured that information was noted on the reservation. Dinner was great, and then the check came, with no birthday cake. When I asked the waitress she didn't know anything about it. When i asked at the hostess stand, they said there was nothing in their system about that, and by the way, they don't even have cake. The manager offered me any other dessert option and while i was considering that, he changed his mind and offered to go to a partner restaurant and get a slice of cake from them. I said we'd be OK with another dessert, but he reassured me that it was no problem and he'd be right back. That was really above and beyond, my sister was happy with her birthday cake, no one knew that there was a hitch in the plan, and the manager was beyond awesome, coming over to wish my sister happy birthday. I recommend this restaurant 100%!
There was a party going on in the restaurant with loud music. I could not hear the person beside me. I will never go back there.
Yes it's all bout the food but ....the staff make it all happen so well! From the delightful hostess , our wait staff and our friends bartender /server they truly make the experience a joy!
The food was pretty good but my main gripe is the drinks. My girlfriend and I split a 48 oz punch bowl and we didn't think they added any alcohol to it. Since I was driving, I only had about 8 oz of the drink. My girlfriend had the other 40 and wasn't even buzzed. Now, I've had my share of 40 oz beverages before and after one of those, I'm feeling good. She didn't feel a thing.
Also, the service was slow and water refills were very infrequent.
Busy bar. Great pizza. Service a little slow but food excellent and servers personable.
Caesar salad was terrible. Drenched in dressing and 4-5 whole and very tough romaine leaves. Not ideal for a family portion that we were sharing with kids. We couldn’t eat it. Should have sent it back. Pizza was very good though.
We have been here before and the outstanding customer service always brings us back. The food is great, especially some of the new entree's they have put on the menu. Thanks
The wait staff was great. Very attentive, very friendly, and end brought me a free dessert for my birthday.
Pricey and the food isn’t that good. My chicken Alfredo was gelatinous. The pasta was over cooked. The sauce was thick and unappetizing. My friend had the open faced lasagna which was a lasagna noodle (over cooked and baked?) with sauce that was thick and a dried out meatball.
While the service was good, I’ve had much better Italian.
My husband had a salad that was ok. I had a one chewy noodle lasagna baked in cast iron skillet that I would not recommend. My daughter had ziti that was great and my other daughter had ravioli (4). Great location and good service.
Split the pizza with a friend...it was delicious!
I made a reservation here to ensure 3 adults and 2 kids could be seated quickly at this popular location on a Friday night when the weather was great and I knew people would be out and about. We were seated promptly on arrival and this being my first visit here, I would describe the restaurant as having an array of customers, but every other table had kids and I appreciated the family-friendly vibe. Our waiter was awesome and he apologized for the slow bar service because our beverages took a while to come, but the chicken alfredo was fairly good (but we used our salt shakers) and the pizza was just for the kids. We only ordered a cheese pizza, so I can't give you too much feed back on that, but I'm from NY and I doubt I would come here to eat pizza (by comparison). The fries were hot, the Caesar salad had green lettuce (and not white lettuce), and although there wasn't enough space on our table for all the food we ordered, they brought it nonetheless. I would take a look at the Prix-fixed menu if you are not doing family-style. I would visit here again.
Food was great. We were able to watch them make our pizza right in front of us. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was the best!
Our group attending a conference at National Harbor needed a place to connect for dinner. The venue worked for that purpose but the food was not very memorable. The Fiorella salad was the best item we ordered with an interesting combination of lettuces and vegetables. There are many choices for pizzas and ways to customize them. The mozzarella balls were not good.
Great place for cheese balls, pizza, and pasta!
Tight space, sidewalk terrace, and delayed service, but nice staff, ambiance, and good place for casual affair.
First time here and we were pleasantly surprised. Would recommend to anyone.
Restaurant was great. Food was amazing and for a great value.
Reasonably good food- fair service- couldn’t talk above the noise
Given the limited dining options at the National Harbor, this place is appealing only because it is convenient and the menu is simple enough to fulfill a large group's dining preferences. However, the quality of the food is very poor and it is not worth the price.
celebrated a family birthday, the waiting staff sang happy birthday to us and gave us a free desert
Food was good but all staff, starting from greeter down to waitress, manager, trainee, etc were clearly not into their jobs. Very low energy and seeming to not really care of the dining experience and never really went out of their way. Forgot our drink order, rarely checked in on us...seemed like everyone wanted to do the bare minimum. Wasn’t even busy. Probably will not go again.
The food is quick to come out, and the bread pudding is delicious
It was wonderful! My server was very nice and attentive. We had a great time. Delicious food and dessert!
Perhaps we had a brand new server ? She seemed to know nothing about the menu or how to wait tables. Chicken on the salad and pizza was over cooked and inedible however the Caesar salad, ravioli and margherita pizza were good.
Great food, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff.
Excellent dinner after a day in DC. We had to wait a few minutes for our table but that was OK. Our waiter was awesome - quick and efficient - very polite and professional. Pizza is to DIE FOR! All made fresh on site. Enough leftovers for another meal at home. Definitely recommend!
The pizza was good and the salad was average (2 people did not like it and 2 did). The waitress asked for our drinks and total order at the same time. The drinks staggered out In 2-3 minute gaps first the beer, then the wine, followed by the martini. I ordered a dirty vodka martini. There were 0 olives and it tasted watered down. I never thought one could mess up that drink, but I was proved wrong. I ordered the “chicken parmesan pepperoni (not sure I got the full name correct), and it is NOT chicken parm. I don’t know what they were thinking but it tasted like Chicken Fried Steak w/ pepperoni and cheese. Lastly, we our food came the tried to give it to another table. I’m hoping many other people had a good experience there, but I did not. I don’t think we will go back, but if I do I’ll stick with the pizza. I wouldn’t call it an Italian restaurant though, more like a brick oven pizza joint.
The menu did not match what we had seen on open table so we were not able to get anything we had planned on. Our server was kind of non existent and not very knowledgeable about the quite limited menu. The food was fair. The mozzarella appetizer was good but the open face lasagna was pretty sad. It was more of a pie than a lasagna and the pasta was thick and gummy Overall it was very disappointing, especially considering it was supposed to be a birthday celebration. We will not be back
Pizza was great and our son enjoyed the spaghetti. I don’t know if they changed the grand salad or we just ordered incorrectly. If they changed it we prefer the old one. The new one is not as tasty and has too much salad dressing on it. Bring back the old one!
Made an early reservation to allow time between our concert and dinner. From the second we sat down to the time we walked out the door we were rushed. Ordered a bottle of wine two apps and two entrees, by the time I traded the wine the apps were out which was nice. Within two minutes out entrees arrived... I'm all for a quickness but instead of pushing food out ensure its of a quality standard. Entrees were mediocre. Follow through of service after entrees arrived was nonexistent after I was asked if I wanted a box for my entree, mind you I was still eating the appetizer.
