Fiore has a well curated wine list of regional Italian wines. Wine service is excellent!
Food was descent, seafood pasta tasted a bit off but other dishes were really good. The antipasti plater was pretty delicious.
Excellent food and service in a great location.
I like the restaurant, I do wish the menu was a bit larger or varied. We ended up having appies, which were delish. I have not been for a bit so the smaller menu was unexpected.
The wine selections are priced far too high for this type of restaurant Should consider
having a few modestly priced bottles in the $32 to $40 range
Outstanding dinner! Everyone loved their meals, cocktails were perfect and service inviting and prompt. House-made pasta was the best ever!
The food was mediocre at best, but the service was good. They were catering to the theatre crowd. We will not go back there.
Had a very good experience at Fiore...the food was good; served hot with lots of good flavour..the service was excellent > very helpful and there just when needed. Overall had a great experience and would go back again...recommended.
We like that the server was asked to make a decision for the meat/cheese options for a charcuterie board and it was perfect for 4 of us as well as the other shared apples and pasta.
Unimpressed by pasta - thick dry and undercooked. But burrata, arancini and desserts were all worth trying, service is good, and the ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and romantic. Overall worth going there at least once!
I have eaten here a number of times. Food is always good. Atmosphere is comfortable.
Dinner then Theatre with friends
The fried artichokes tasted like seafood. They must have been cooked in oil that was used to cook fish. Uncooked artichoke (hearts) out of a jar would have been better. The burrata was extremely bland. We had to ask for a condiment to spice it up. The garlic prawns were mediocre. Only the meatballs and marinated olives were of satisfactory flavour. At the least, the server was accommodating and pleasant to deal with.
Food was nothing special
We had a very good time! Drinks were creative and delicious.
The food is to die for! Such a great space. Classy but relaxed. A new favourite!
We arrived late due to heavy traffic with very little time to dine before heading to the theatre. They did an excellent job of accommodating us by helping us pick quick entrees and rushing our service. They helped us choose a great bottle of wine, and had the bill ready right away so we could save time. We were so grateful that they were helpful and accommodating to us in an unexpected rush. The food was great, and we look forward to going back again when we can have the full, more leisurely, experience!
Cacio e Pepe was VERY salty. I’m guessing from the pasta water that is typically added to the dish. And the prawn pasta was VERY lemony. Menu did mention lemon but it was a bit over the top. But I would go again as it is a nice place and staff are friendly and great location if going to the Stanley Theatre
Myself and three friends have season tickets to 5 Arts Club productions. The last time we went to Fiore the service was outstanding as well as the food. We all had the shrimp spaghetti and each of us raved about it! On Wednesday/ 4 our reservation was for 6 PM. We arrived shortly after. After some difficulty finding our reservation we were seated and given drink menus. We told the gentleman we were going to the theater and he said they were used to that and were prepared. Our wine order was taken but we still didn't have menus and had to ask twice for them. Two of us had rigatoni and two had the spaghetti. Half an hour later when our food had not arrived, and we had been in the restaurant for almost an hour, we asked when it would be out. It arrived shortly after and we asked for the bill at the same time. As usual the food tasted delicious but the spaghetti had been broken in to small pieces and was difficult to eat. While we were paying the bill I inquired as to why and was told because it is fresh it breaks easily. I have had fresh pasta so often I can't count, and this is the first time I have seen it so broken. We were very rushed, got to our seats just as the lights were dimming. We will be returning and will make the reservation for 15 minutes earlier and hope the service improves.
Hi Shirl, thank you for the feedback! We try to do our best even during the theater rush when the restaurant fills up right at 6. Definitely recommend coming few minutes before 6 to get ahead of the crowd and have more time to enjoy the dinner. Sorry about scattered service, we've recently strengthen our team and the new guy is still in training. Looking forward to having you in next time.
Delicious pasta and negronis! The restaurant is quite loud, but it reflects the communal Italian ambience. A great dining experience.
Hi Vivian, than you for your review!
Excellent dinner before a play at the Stanley Theatre.
The service was painfully slow. 40 minutes to get our first course then another 10 minute wait to get our mains. 2 waitresses only and the place was full. It was the kitchens slowness that was the problem. My Moms Kale salad was dripping wet. She is to picky but i had to agree it was bad. We will not return or recommend.
Food was very salty, though it tasted ok. Price was too high considering. Service was lovely and ambiance also very nice.
We had driven buy this restaurant a lot and are so happy we finally stopped in. The food was fresh and amazing, plus we had really great service.
We were a table of four. Both couples ordered their Board for 2 and we were delighted with the results. Meat, vegetables, bread, cheeses were delicious. After a coffee we headed to the theatre. A great place for dinner and dinner prior theatre.
Amazing food, intimate atmosphere, great staff. I always bring people to Fiore and it's always a big hit!
Emilie thank you so much for a great review! Your words and support mean the world to us! See you again soon
The menu always has something new I need to try. Everyone in our party raved about the flavours in their meal choice. We come here every time we are in Vancouver for at least one meal.
Hi Pam, it's always great to have you! Thank you for nice words and looking forward to seeing you again!
We're big fans of Stablehouse and Fiore. The staff have a high level of food and wine knowledge, the kitchen team are very talented, ambiance is perfect, and food is just amazing every single time. Our favorite restaurants.
Your words warm our hearts! Happy to hear we bring you join and that you for supporting both our restaurants in the South Granville neigbourhood!!!
over all it was a disappointment.
Arugala salad was too sour. Too much vinegar.
We shared a Shrimp pasta and the shrimps are good and tender, but
the noodle is so mushy and tasteless. The pasta were supposed to be home made.
Finally the chocolate mousse came and it was too salty. My husband can't eat it.
Also, we were there early and only two tables were occupied. The 3 waiter and the kitchen staff were all chatting at the back of the bar together for a long time. Since this is an open, small restaurant I find that very disturbing, no class !
We will never go back again.
Hi there, not really sure what to say here... probably won't get another chance... I'm sorry we didn't match your flavor, the pasta is made fresh every day - we guarantee that and if you come early you can even see the cooks finishing filled pastas for the evening. Budino is traditional Italian dessert made with chocolate, olive oil and salt - it's supposed to be sweet/savory. Early seating can be quiet especially during weekdays. Will talk with out server about chatting with kitchen staff!
Came highly recommended but did not deliver. Our appetizers came out in less than five minutes leading us to believe they were already prepared and just sitting, as they were at best luke warm. They were profoundly lacklustre. The main course was mediocre, bland and just uninspired. The deserts followed suit. The wine list is great and the prices for wine are excellent, but the food itself was not at par. The service on the other hand was fantastic.
Excellent pasta meal for decent price. Excellent service. Great location for the galleries and the theatre on Granville row.
Great food, great service, great time!
Thank you Derek!
Very limited menu.
Have to pay for bread and olives??
Pasta arrived with a large black hair.
Offered a new pasta , came with an even larger black hair.
THIRD pasta arrived cold.
Decided to leave but Prosecco ended up complimentary.
NEVER going back.
Hi Rital, I'm aware of you experience and I reviewed it with the whole team! Absolutely understand your frustration - I would feel the same. I tried to offer you a gift card to be able to provide you with a better experience but you politely denied. My sincere apologies again. Btw. I know you were not from here but yes you pay for olives and bread in restaurants in Vancouver.
We always have a great meal. Service is consistent efficient despite the pre-theatre rush. Drinks are amazing too :)
And we are always very happy to see you Terence!
This was our first time there. Just around the corner from the Stanley Theatre. Fiore has an excellent anti pasta board and several pasta dishes which are very good. Because we were there prior to the theatre we didn’t have time for a dessert.
Will definitely go back.
Happy to hear you had a good first experience! Looking forward to having you back with more time for something sweet after dinner!
Super place; fabulous food, great wine list and interesting (and delicious) cocktails. Desserts are worth leaving room for too.
Dawn thank you for your kind words!
Service at our table was painfully slow. Other tables who came long after us got their food and drinks before us. The meal I ordered .. was out of stock ..which was aggravating since other persons seated after us got it. I had wine spilled all over me .. including on my face and clothes. We had to even ask the waitress to bring sugar for our cappuccinos at the end of our meal .. which would be anticipated to be part of the normal set when coffee is served. Not a happy customer.
Hi Nancy, first of all I would like to thank you for your feedback! I'm really sorry to hear about your experience and I will definitely review this on our next staff meeting! I would like to talk to you about what happened and make it right. Could I ask you to contact me at email@example.com Thank you in advance Jakub Palous, Manager
It was amazing and highly recommend the three course dinner with wine pairing. Our compliments to the Chef and the best BC sommellier. Enjoyed very much...service outstanding!
Hi Lossiea, thank you so much for your kind words! It keeps us getting better! Cheers! Jakub
Absolutely love the ambiance, it’s like a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. Well decorated and each table has it’s appropriate space. Not overly loud so you can have a conversation.
Menus is small but focused, food is well presented. We had two pasta dish, an antipasta and the special of the night which was a pork dish.
The pasta was nice and chewy, or what’s it called al dente. However the sauce was not extremely salty, I need to drink a ton of water after every bite. The pork dish that we had was extremely tender, however you can obviously see part of it is undercook as it’s quite red. This is a neat place and I hope it was just my one off bad experience.
Thank you for your feedback!
The food was disappointing - not authentic Italian.
Hi Gianna, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you we disappointed by the experience. Just wanted to say we are not trying to be authentic Italian, we are Italian inspired restaurant and we try to elevate traditional Italian dishes and introduce new flavors.
