   Always amazing food selection and unique drinks. Went for Valentine's Day so busier then I usually like, but still worth it. Staff was visibly busy but made sure we were taken care of throughout dinner. I do wish there was a clear area to order a drink from while waiting for reservation time. Felt like I was in the way or hovering over other patrons.

   Overall thought it was well worth the visit and my fiancé and I plan to come back to explore more of the menu. We started with the French Onion Soup & Beet Salad. French Onion had great flavor but felt more soup could be had. This could be done with a larger bowl or less cheese. The Beet Salad was very tasteful, nicely dressed but could have used more beets. Entree we had the garlic fettuccine was was a nice and unique flavor. My fiancé had the salmon which she very much enjoyed. Ambiance was great. Look forward to coming back.

   Bartender was very good. The host was rude and seemed like he did not want to be there. The waitress was abrupt but took care of our needs. Food was great!

    The reservation for six people for New Years Eve was made well in advance. They sat us at a 4Top where they added two chairs and seated six adults! It was crowded! Our waitress was scattered - i was a waitress so it’s understandable on a holiday but service was poor. And the food? I was very disappointed!!!! And so we’re my guests!

    The location is beautiful and worth a daytime moment. The food is usually pretty good. Be wary of ordering a martini tho. The bar manager coaches everyone to use vermouth at an obnoxious amount in martinis.. Every. Single. Time 🤢

    Made Christmas dinner reservations and the cocktails were great but the food was extremely disappointing. The food was on the colder side and had to send back the pizza given it tasted like the cheese was old.

    We sat against the windows on the river side and froze!! It was so cold there. We asked more than once for some heat to come out of the register beside the table, but it never did. An engineer came to the area (never spoke to us to say he'd dealt with it or was sorry for the inconvenience), but nothing changed. We had to wear our coats around us or on our laps as it was so bad. Nearby in the west dining room a friend I stopped to talk to said they were uncomfortably hot. Something really needs to be done to the infrastructure of the dining area. This was unacceptable. The food was very good, but on the cool side. Also not acceptable. The waiter was less than apologetic about the air temperature, saying everyone complains but nothing is being done about it. Is that good business?

    I have eaten lunch here before and enjoyed it out on the deck. We decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there with a view of the frozen river from our seats. Service was very pleasant and accommodated different tastes with substitution. Wait staff competent and pleasant. Food was standard. Very traditional turkey dinner. Excellent wine menu. Altogether pleasant but not exceptional.

    The food was average (we’ve had better on other occasions), but our server was less than pleasant. I realize this was Thanksgiving and maybe he wasn’t pleased at having to work on a holiday, but his demeanor was curt, not particularly friendly and he provided just the basic service. Seeing how other servers interacted with their customers only made our experience less pleasant and, considering the price of our meals, we were disappointed with the way we were treated. The meals were adequate but not exceptional and after seeing how incredibly small the pie slices were, we decided against paying $12 for dessert! It is doubtful that we would consider holiday dining at Finn again. As for making our reservation with Open Table, that was an excellent experience. The website was easy to use and we received a confirmation very quickly as well as a reminder the morning of our reservation. Great customer service.

    Finn never disappoints or lets you down. Excellent service, fabulous food, expansive wine and cocktail options. The entire staff will find a way to assist you should you have any special needs or requests. Incredible personalized service. It is a happy place to dine and spend time with your friends and family. The views of people rafting down the river, fishing, walking the shore are definitely a perk. The decor is warm, inviting and comfortable. The smiling helpful staff are just the best and cause me to return again and again.

    It was my birthday, the waiter actually served food to everyone around us first who were seated after us, service was slow, and we won’t be coming back if we get the same waiter.

    We had friends in from out of town and brought them to Finn to enjoy good food on the deck and show off one of our great views. We had great service…professional, friendly and attentive! The food was nicely presented and we left with clean plates and one to-go package.

    We've eaten at Finn's many times and always enjoy its location alongside the scenic Clark Fork River. It is sometimes inconsistent in the quality of its offerings, but reliable for the most part. It just seems to fall short of being excellent, but that is not to say the experience is not enjoyable. We will continue to go here from time to time, mainly for the setting and secondarily for the food.

    Definitely make a reservation and don't come in with the expectation you'll get a seat on the patio. Other than that, the service, food and drinks are superb and the views are always great.

    Ordered two dinners. Both served lukewarm. Pasta was not only lukewarm but what chef cooks pasta and serves it in big nasty clumps. Pasta cooked and prepared correctly never sticks together. What a dump!!

    I had traveled 3 hours for this special occasion! I had also called a week before and specifically requested a water view front row table for this birthday celebration. Upon our arrival the hostess was borderline rude,we said we had a reservation and was a birthday in our party,she looked us up and down,whispered to the other host and,in the mostly empty restaurant,seated us off on the side.I asked if we could be moved,before any food or drinks were ordered,and was ignored.I was getting perturbed by being ignored,went to the hosts booth to ask him as we had specifically requested over a week before the riverview table.The hostess stepped in front of me,said the 7 empty tables in the view area MAY BE RESERVED FOR DINNER AT 6.It was 430,we had requested a view table and would like to move.She denied my request and was smiling and laughing pretentiously ,like we weren't good enough to sit there.I asked to speak to the manager,she again laughed at me and said sorry he's not here and spun around and dismissed me.I didn't want to ruin our dinner,was there until the dinner menu was available,had nice appetizers drinks and duck and clams,the server was great and the food very good! FIve of the water view TABLES REMAINED EMPTY OUR ENTIRE VISIT !!!!!! We were SUPER DISAPPOINTED After traveling so far for this special day and then being treated like second class citizens by a snotty hostess!!!

    Food was burnt and over cooked. We didn’t eat our entrees and manager seemed to be proud she compensated us for food we literally didn’t eat. We have always loved coming here something went terribly wrong this time. Very sad as it is one of our favorite places when we come to Missoula.

    We were disappointed compared to the quality of the food and service we'd experienced on previous visits to the then Finn & Porter. It's still one of the nicer places to dine in terms of scenery, but what came from the kitchen was impressive--things like cucumber peels in the salad, a tough steak, mediocre kimchee. Also the service was below standard. After our plates were taken away, the waitress came right back and left the bill folder on the table, without asking if we wanted anything else. We won't be rushing back.
