Finley's Seafood (Formerly Known As Storyville American Table) is a casual restaurant and bar that specializes in traditional New Orleans cuisine. The restaurant is names after and old section of New Orleans. Its interior is rustic with exposed brick walls and unique chandelier lighting. Finley's Seafood is connected with Finley's of Green Street, which is a full-service bar that hosts late-night live music and entertainment.
Begin the meal with an appetizer like charbroiled oysters, chicken fried shrimp, fried green tomatoes or the Big Easy gator meatballs. For the main course, indulge in a variety of hearty sandwiches and po' boys or try one of the restaurant's entrées. Options include dishes like shrimp and grits, fire and rice jambalaya, New Orleans BBQ shrimp or the MacDaddy BBQ baby back ribs. Finley's Seafood also offers a wide range of specialty New Orleans-inspired cocktails and margaritas for guests to choose from.
It was Restaurant Week and the menu was limited because of this, but we had plenty to chose from compared to other places. Our family of 4 had all different entrees and we all raved about our dishes. The music was great and the setting was lovely. We will definitely return!
The food was great as usual. Looking forward to see what Chef Meehan has to offer.
The last time we went for brunch, there was Alaskan King Crab legs that were to die for. This time there was snow crab legs - not worth the effort. The last time there was a basket of fresh homemade breads. This time there were bagels and Italian bread - not nearly as delicious. Last time our mimosas were in a wine glasses. This time it was in a champagne glasses. The last time I ordered a ham & cheese omelet and it was perfect. This time I ordered the same. I got a well done cheese omelet without the ham. The last time there was prime rib and warm broth. This time there was prime rib and no warm broth. The crock pot was clean and empty like someone forgot to fill it. We asked if they had warm broth and the cook said no. Overall, it was far less worth the money this time. We did express our disappointment to the hostess but she said they change up the menu all the time. Does this mean the next time will be better or worse? We were rather disappointed on Sunday.
Great brunch options featuring NOLA cuisine options. They also have bottomless Mimosas and BloodyMarys.
Food was just decent, drinks were great, service was great.
This was our second time at the restaurant. I had the catfish (blackened).. the fish was a little off tasting. I had it the first time I dined here a month ago and it was good. My spouse had the shrimp and grits. He said it tasted good but didn’t have enough shrimp. It was presented in a large bowl filled with polenta and about 5 shrimp. The vodka tonic I had was awful. Sat at the bar after dinner and the bartender was not very friendly and somewhat impatient. Not a good mix. Probably will not return.
A good time is always had. There was no price fix menu because the menu is being re-done. Still an awesome meal at a decent price.
We decided to go to try it out. We heard the food was really good. To my surprise it was nothing at all I expected. The food is served buffet for brunch . All my food was cold. The only item that was warm were the waffles. And I would cause there was a young man making them as they were ordered
Great for Sunday Brunch with lits of choices and choice of mimosa or bloody mary
We were a party of six. Food was good. Delicious! But service was not! No one checked if our glasses needed to be refilled with water...they were empty for most of the meal. We ordered coffee which was served lukewarm. The waitress apologized and had to take back all of the coffee cups. Three in our party ordered Praline Cheesecake for dessert. We were served plain Cheesecake with a graham cracker crust on top.
It was okay, the fish we had ordered was not done. Would I go back probably not.
Storyville is a confusing place - walking in the door is this Findley's ?? Where's Storyville ?? I will be fair:
Pros - The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress had a very nice personality. The buffalo wrap sandwich was tasty
Cons - The staff was limited and service poor (the table next to us had dirty dishes for our entire meal) The bread for the table was stale and horrible. The nachos app was good for the chips but no beans / quac / cheese or salsa - for $10+ angered me! Had the crab patties - the 2 patties were the size of a silver dollar but cost a lot more! Had the grilled cheese shredded pork sandwich - extremely salty and the bread is a horrible choice by the chef.
Advice - figure it out on your own but doubt you will see me!
I came to Storyville with some friends and am quite happy with everything! I think if you were on a date, it'd be a great choice. We were able to talk comfortably with one another even with the background noise. Nice layout. We were placed in a cozy corner and it was perfect.
My wife and I went there for Valentine's Day Dinner. Tables are roomy with good spacing to allow individual conversations and not all table conversations running together making it noisy. The food was very good and highly reflective of New Orleans style cuisine (I am from New Orleans). Service was efficient and friendly. Our waiter knew when to be present and when to be gone without making us wait. We found the food and wine prices to be very reasonable. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely be back.
the chicken fried shrimp was excellent! Had the surf &turf , The steak was one of the best I have ever had. Looking forward to going back.Service was also excellent.
Food was bland and not hot. Service was slow with only 3 tables filled. Table was wobbly. Two items we wanted on the menu was not available.
Went to have dinner with group of 6! Been here before. Very nice place. Service was ok. A little long to get food. we gave our order We were told that they are out of ribs tonight .Waitress said restaurant is closing for renovations tomorrow . I feel this should have been said as soon as waiter/waitress came over from beginning. She needed to give us more time to go back over menu .Food was good when it finally arrived. They give you a basket of corn bread. We asked for several while waiting for food to come out. Ordered dessert asked for the chocolate molten ! What they gave me was a chocolate cake with moose cake. When I told Waitress she said oh sorry we were out of molten. Got the check and she charged us regardless . Unreal maybe it was an off night . Not to much of a hurry to go back !
I enjoyed a delicious business dinner with clients following the closing of a business deal. The food was hot and full of flavor! The ambiance was perfect for the occasion but would also have been great for any occasion, or no occasion at all! The servers were knowledgeable, attentive and informative of the specials. I'll certainly be back with my family and friends... and of course business dinners as well!
We were there on a weeknight with snow in the forecast. As it turns out, we were the only people in the place. The mussels appetizer was everyone's favorite. I had the Gumbolaya which was excellent and a huge portion. I wound up taking half of it home. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. The wine list was good and quite affordable. I didn't see one bottle of wine for over $40 and most were in the $30 range. I haven't seen that in years.
One of the best Sunday brunches in Huntington.
Great time to celebrate a birthday!
Bartender was AWESOME
We had the best time with our family and my mother in law. My two young girls loved the kids' menu! It was so pretty inside and the staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We can't wait to try it when the weather is warmer and the outdoor patio area is open. Looks like a lot of fun!
Love Storyville - been here many times and keep returning. Food and drinks all great as is the service. Steve is always nice to talk to.
We waited at reception desk for at least ten minute. We were 2nd party to arrive for 12:30 seating at brunch, all table but one were taken and we were refused a table by the window. The food had been in the heating trays for a while and not replenished for a while. Friendly server but could not make up for the already ruined experience. Will not return.
Great food and great service. We have been there twice in the last month. We highly recommend it.
Food is delicious - only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that my dessert (mud cake) was a bit dry, otherwise one of our favorite places in Huntington!
Very cozy and inviting atmosphere. Our waitress, Heather, was very attentive. Food delicious. Would definitely go back.
I live in the area and have been here many times. I ordered the chicken fried shrimp appetizer as my dinner, it tasted great but I noticed they cut the portion from 5 shrimp to 4 shrimp and kept the price the same. I also ordered the mac n cheese side and found it to be bland. My boyfriend liked his food a lot (roast pork grilled cheese), but they could amp up the presentation a little. Service great as always.
If you have a hankering for cajun/creole food, you will be happy to head to Storyville...a bit of N'awlins on Long Island. And if that is not familiar cuisine, it is worth trying another version of regional comfort food. We arrived early evening, so the place was quiet, our waitstaff attentive and thoughtful, kitchen accommodating to our dietary preferences, drinks stiff! Three friends spent a lovely few hours laughing together, and enjoying the food and the casual ambiance.
The food as always is very good, but the service was horrible. The drinks took 20 minutes to come out. But what was irritating was after eating the waitress never came back for roughly 30 minutes we sat there, no water, no drinks, nothing. And I can’t say it was busy because there was only one other party in the place. So there was no excuse for the delay.
Great food, substantial portions, excellent friendly service and a nice but casual atmosphere -- just what you'd want in a cajun/creole experience! A good variety of menu options (if you're not a vegan or vegetarian), including authentic entrees, a variety of small plates/appetizers and a solid selection of po'boys. I had shrimp "gumbolaya", which is their signature Fire and Rice Jambalaya topped with a hefty scoop of gumbo. Flavorful and spicy, but not overpowering, and although there weren't a whole lot of shrimp they were enormous. My wife greatly enjoyed the Chicken and Waffles, which came with both syrup and a delectable country gravy. The Fried Green Tomatoes we had as an appetizer (5 to a plate, so we shared) were a little disappointing as they seemed to lack the usual tanginess of unripe tomatoes. However they came with a very tasty remoulade, which made up for some of the slack. Our server was friendly and attentive. We came on a very quiet Sunday night so my assessment of the noise factor may or may not be useful, but I can say that their choice of background music was totally on point! Altogether a very nice dining experience, with lots more menu options to explore. We will definitely be back!
Good food... Attentive service...Saturday night...no wait...overall satisfied with dining experience
My wife brought me here for my birthday. We enjoyed the appetizer that we ordered. My dinner was delicious. My wife's dinner had olives in it. Olives were not listed in the description and with the amount in it could not be eaten around. The manager came over, took the original dinner off the bill and had her order a new dinner. She loved the replacement meal. The manager made sure that we were happy with the new order and that our night was good.
Always a fabulous dinner and wonderful service!!! From the gumbo and catfish to the delicious desserts, everything was a win-win!!
The food was delicious and the chef let us try his peach cobbler it was the best I have tasted. I always eat at Storyville and it never fails me on great taste and service, mike our waiter is always on point so tentative and polite.
Third time at Storyville but the first for brunch. 4 adults and a child on our party. Very nice variety of food. Had something for everyone in our party, including someone who doesn't eat fish, someone who doesn't like spicy food, and a 6 year old.
Made to order omelet, fried chicken and gumbo were some of my faves. Can't wait to go back.
Our waiter, Steven, was absolutely wonderful. He was very considerate to my dietary needs and was making suggestions that would suit me. The food was great. Definitely go back again
Food service was extremely slow and attention to the table was inconsistent.
