Food is terrible!! The only good thing about this place is the dessert. The forbidden fruit was amazing! But otherwise, the food is awful and overpriced.
Amazing. Loved the food and the ambiance.
Nice Place. Everything was FINE, and the music (Ragged Time on this Sunday Afternoon) was RARE, and very well done! A nice surprise all around.
Amazing food and great music!
Went for Jazz Brunch and had a wonderful time. The service was polite and attentive, starting with the hostess. The jazz duo were very good.
Excellent classic Bloody Mary’s. I’m not a big egg eater, but the Eggs Constantine might be the best I’ve ever had. Portions were large and the prices were very reasonable for mid-town with live music.
The ambiance was very nice and cozy.
Food was outstanding especially the salmon. Drink and wine pours were very small. $33.00 for 3 shrimp is crazy!
A real gem. great, great cocktails. and the food was shockingly great. a foodie find.
This is a upscale whiskey bar with easy listening jazz. We visited 2 nights within a week and enjoyed the 2 jazz groups. It is possible to both enjoy the jazz and have a conversation with your table mates. The choice of whiskeys was amazing, both in cocktails or straight up. Both the pork chop and salmon were excellent entrees. The fireplace and the display of the various whiskeys contributed to a welcoming attractive ambiance.
The food was incredibly bad, nothing at all what we expected! The ambiance is great and the drinks are very good, so if you want to go there just stay at the bar and go have dinner somewhere else.
We went for my wife's birthday on the recommendation of a friend. Loved this place! It's beautiful inside, the music was great. Our waiter was excellent and dinner fab. Literally nothing I could not 5 star.
The ostrich egg was excellent and the dessert scrumptous
Great Music in a fun setting with good food. it was an eclectic crowd, but it worked.
Fine and Dare is a great place for a date.
The house band is really good, we were disappointed with the first singer, we were also surprised to see kids at the tables which we thought was weird as this is a jazz and scotch cabaret.....luckily they were well behaved and left by 8.30. The steak was very good but the rest of the menu uneventful.
Great staff, great atmosphere, great restaurant
Never disappoints, live music is great, and food is absolutely delicious.
Nice looking venue but music was too loud and bread was terrible. Like a gummy Kings Hawaiian.
Good live music. Fine whiskey. Great deserts.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
It’s a lovely atmosphere. Excellent food. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, with a great attitude. The added singer just capped the night off beautifully.
Although the experience at Fine & Fare was positive Good Food & Excellent Drinks & Whiskey choices the value was fair. The sides were very small and the tower appetizer was definitely over-priced for its selection and quantity. The noise level was unusually loud due to a corporate event being held the night we were having dinner. I would definitely give Fine & Fare a second chance because of the quality of the food, drink and of course the jazz.
Gorgeous food, wonderful Jazz
Great venue and vibe. Staff were excellent. Music was good. Had seafood from the raw bar. It was OK, but just did not seem to be as fresh as it should. Maybe because it was Sunday night. Anyway - I had a great time and plan to go back and give it another try.
This is our second time here in just a few weeks. The cocktails are spectacular, the service is excellent and the food is delicious. We love coming for Jazz so look for who is playing and make your reservation. If you come on the early side for brunch or dinner when they have jazz, it usually isn't too busy until later. Highly recommend!
Jazz Brunch-Classic Jazz vocalist accompanying herself in piano was pleasant background. We had Shrimp the grits were flavorful. Corn meal pancakes, best while hot & crispy served with cubes of pork belly was interesting but I would not order it again. Garde of Eden gin cocktail was a highlight.
The decor and ambience are so old school and relaxed. Very warm and inviting. Love the stage and live music. The cocktails are amazing. Not to mention the extensive library of available spirits, including the option of purchasing a bottle and having them reserve it for your return. The food was fantastic. I was there for brunch, both me and my guest ate every bit and was thrilled to end our meal with the smoked old fashioned. I can't wait to come back and try even more.
Fine and Rare is very nice the service and food is outstanding and they are very accommodating unlike there sister restuarant Flatiron we always used to go to Flatiron but after making a reservation at Flatiron a month in advance cause we are from out of town and not being able to modify it for a half an hour difference for 6 people decided to give Fine and Rare a try, best decision made. We wont be going back to Flatiron anytime soon.
As a visitor to NYC and first time to try, Was pleased with my choice to check it out. Party of 2 women were seated into what I would call very cozy, tight and crowded banquette and tiny table. There were several other tables open and unoccupied during the time we were there. I wish I had requested to move. However we made the best of it. Enjoyed the live music for the short time they played. A very extensive and impressive spirits offerings. Would I visit again, maybe. I did recommend to friends next day.
Music is awesome. Was talked into the tomahawk steak. Not impressed. Been here before and we love it. Pre-game spot before Knicks game.
The only thing better than the great music was the great food. Absolute perfection.
This was one of the most favorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was friendly, the server was knowledgeable of the spirits and made my first time visit an unforgettable one. The entree and dessert were well prepared and exceeded my expectations. I was literally messaging my friends during dinner and continued to do so after dinner to insist that they pay Fine & Rare a visit. I definitely plan to return in the near future.
I went out with friends for jazz brunch. The musicians were wonderful. The food and drinks were delicious. The dessert was amazing, it was a white chocolate dome that melted away into a cake below. Soo good. The restaurant is also really beautiful and has a great vibe. I would definitely recommend and would like to go back for dinner sometime.
Fabulous place and interesting interior.....can't wait to return.
Brunch was great and music a plus....
Ambience and music were great. Drinks were good. Scallops good! Entrees were lackluster. Risotto was mushy/over cooked and steak was very poorly done. Would recommend for drinks and maybe an app.
The live jazz and atmosphere feels like you're being transported back in time! The cocktails and food make it feel modern at the same time. I've been numerous time, and never disappointed!
I have been to Fine and Rare many times! It is truly outstanding in every way! I will continue to return - and I will always look forward to a fabulous experience! Thank you Fine and Rare!
Average food. No flavor. Expensive. But the restaurant had a great atmosphere and ambience and beautiful live jazz which unfortunately made conversation impossible!
Well appointed with good vibe and live music. Lump crab appetizer and salad both quite good. Main courses however, were disappointing and way overpriced. Steak oskar was $72. The filet was very average 6oz and a bit tough and chewy. Bolognese was bland and not anything special for $35. Finally, the Risotto was simply awful. It was made with beets and was a dark red unappetizing display for $30. Drinks are super expensive and nothing special although touted as amazing. They do have some rare liquors but you will pay a steep price. Waiter never came back for another drink order after initial cocktails. Did not even offer a glass of wine. Would only go here for a drink and appetizer. Definitely not for a full meal
Absolutely love the ambiance and the service is impeccable. Greg is happy and clearly loves what he does. We appreciated his service! Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented and the Spirits were unique and flavorful. And let’s not for get the Jazz! It’s our 2nd time visiting and we can’t wait to go back!
The atmosphere and service were good, but food was unfortunately disappointing. I was hoping this would be a nice restaurant we could easily go after work to listen to live Jazz, but I don't believe we will.
Great live Jazz music. During dinner time the music is soft great vocalist and after 9pm volime goes Up with metals and drums great Jazz. Highly recommended
