This was our first time visiting this place. We came in for Sunday lunch with friends, and I was pleasantly surprised. I feel like I was back home, it Europe. Amazing atmosphere, great food, staff that very attentive, and not trying to kick you out as soon as you finished your meal. You really can sit, relax and enjoy your time with friends. Thank you
We were really excited about trying Finca with the group that we were traveling with.
The food was okay, small plates for the price.
When our wine was served with cork and sediment the waitress told us it was a natural occurrence for that wine. It IS but not as thick as soot and served to customers.
After that our service was barely there and waited a long time to get out check so we could leave.
The ambience was nice and the people were great, but we wouldn’t return for a second meal.
large portions! excellent presentation. watch out: lots of rock salt.
We were there late. Food was cold. Items suggested by waitress were unavailable. We won’t be back.
Had a poor first visit, but tried Finca again because the location is convenient for us.
WE had 5 small plates and each one was worse than the previous. Finished off with a foul octopus plate that we could not wait for our waitress to take away because the smell was so awful
we wont be back
Love the ambience. The food was amazing and the plating was pretty. The craft cocktails were delicious. Will always come back here for a special occasion
Fabulous food, cooked and plated with perfection. We visit our children in Utah and this is the first place everyone wants to go! Great value for the ingenuity in the food and style with super taste. My kids just returned from Barcelona and said the tapas at Fincas were better than many there Potatoes Bravas are first rate along with the paella negra.
First time there. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items.
I'm not trying to be rude, but our waiter had horrible breath, to the point that we almost asked for another person to help us.
went after the theater and the play ran late and we were late for our reservation...no problem....they welcomed us and served us and we were getting close to closing and they made us feel that there was no reason to rush and were patient, inviting and very nice....
It was a Tapas place with a lot of choices to choose from . We had two people and ordered 4 things to share. One person didn't eat pork or alcohol and it was a bit difficult to find things that didn't contain any pork or alcohol. Everything we tried was fantastic.
The food was exceptional. It was different and savory. The ambiance was perfect for our anniversary date.
Loved the atmosphere. Sangria was delicious. Tried a number of different dishes - each was delicious. I would definitely recommend for a great date night!
Must have been a new chef.
Though the flavors were brilliant, the paella was undercooked .. rice not done.
And the coconut flan tasted like there was a little kitchen fire.
I believe this was an anomaly. I’ll be back.
Nice ambience and people. The food was underwhelming, boring and certainly not prepared fresh. Both my girlfriend and I were not feeling well just minutes after our first bite. This place is way overpriced and mediocre at best.
Loved my experience
I’ve been to a few tapas restaurant around Salt Lake and it’s definitely one to return to. The house made sangria and variety of food on the menu was great.
Nice food. Quiet corner.
Food was pretty good. One of the dishes was just “eh”. Maybe they should have a smaller collection of tapas so the kitchen can make the best dish every time without getting overloaded. The restaurant is super dark, to the point it’s dreary. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria that tasted only like cinnamon, so some extra training in that area is warranted. Otherwise good food and I’d return. Hopefully they will brighten things up a little.
Everything my wife and I tried was outstanding. We already want to go back to try more items on the menu. Would highly recommend for a date night or a night away from the kids.
Our sever didn’t show any interest on our table of 5. The manager never check on us. The food was very good. The croquetas de Hamon were amazing dames is the patatas!!!! The Paella de mariscos and Payo were very good. We never find out if any deserts or after drinks because we got the check before we even ask for.
Fantastic food, great service. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys tapas!
I reserved a table for 10 to celebrate a special occasion with my team at work. We arrived and none of us had really much experience with tapas, but were excited to try this restaurant and figured our server would help us navigate things.
Well... she wasn’t very helpful at all. So we just figured it out on our own and what food we did choose was pretty tasty.
However. When asked if she’d take a picture of our group she said she was “too busy”
Problem is.... she took our order and we never saw her again. She even repeatedly forgot to bring things to us that she said she would AND what reeeeeally makes me upset is that bc of the size of our party a 20% tip was included in the bill WITHOUT MY PRIOR KNOWLEDGE.
Thank goodness I saw it circled on the bill by another employee when he brought it out.
This was supposed to be a special experience and it ended up being ridiculously frustrating for me and my team.
We do not recommend this restaurant.
Was very disappointed that they were not serving churros!
We arrived towards the end of open hours, but they took good care of us. A couple orders got mixed up and we got some stuff we did not order. Food was delicious and our server was very apologetic for the errors.
Really good small tapas plate style. Value is right on par with what you would expect for tapas. Lots of diff options.
We went recently for my birthday, our server was attentive and answered our questions and gave good recommendations. Our food was delivered promptly and tasted delicious. The tapas were great, maybe a bit pricey for normal dining but great for a special occasion. Some dishes were quite small but the overall meal was fantastic. There was a slight mix-up but they fixed it right away and made sure we were taken care of.
Our waiter Paul was attentive, helpful and entertaining. The good was very good although we over-ordered a bit because the tapas dishes were larger than we expected.
Very nice menu, wine list, and service. Will definitely visit again!
Hands down the worst dining experience we have had - ever. We expected a Mother’s Day buffet. What we found was food barely appropriate for a budget hotel continental breakfast- cold eggs, fried sausage links, cheese slices, raw fruit slices, precooked pancakes. Curiously, Finca defines Eggs Benedict as a poached egg- no English Muffin, no Canadian Bacon - just a poached egg with a non-descript Hollandaise sauce. Many dishes on the menu were missing entirely. In their places were cards indicating dishes that should have been present. There was nothing the least bit Spanish about most of the food, despite the restaurant being a Tapas restaurant. The service was non-existent, with the only service consisting of one serving of tepid water by a disinterested server. The table, reserved for 5, wasn’t even entirely set. We were forced to procure more than one water glass from other tables to complete the setting. None of our party was able to find anything redeeming at the buffet. Unfortunately, we tried it anyway. We should have walked out instead. After one pass through the buffet, resulting in mostly empty plates, we sat for a few minutes before asking for the bill. Most of our plates were untouched after initial bites proved that the food was as bad as it looked. The bill was finally presented, and, to our surprise, totaled nearly $300. To add insult, a 20% gratuity was included. $300 for this combination of service, selection and food quality is nothing short of thievery. Usually, I hope that restaurants read negative reviews and work to improve. In this case I hope the restaurant closes permanently.
Meh. Mother's day brunch. Buffet not ready by 10 am reservations. The food that was out was cold (even if it was meant to be hot). The waitstaff inattentive and not knowledgeable. Our booth was filled with crumbs and table smeared with grease. A sad disappointment of a buffet.
Went for tapas. A few dishes were really good, most were okay and a few were bad. Overall it was fun but I definitely have other tapas restaurants I prefer. Probably wouldn't be back but overall it was fun to try.
We went to Finca before a concert at The Vivint arena. We got there at 6:45 and our concert didn’t start til 8:30 so we figured we would have plenty of time. We decided not to go with the large plates, because the menu said they would take 30-45mins to cook, and just ordered Tapas. An hour later and after watching several others come and go, we finally asked our waitress about our order. Within 5 mins all our dishes were out to us but unfortunately several were cold. Because of it we had to race to eat and got to the arena right as the concert started. The waitress was MIA most of the time and she wasn’t even aware that our meal hadn’t gotten to us until we stopped her in passing and asked. Sadly we won’t be going back.
The service we received was absolutely terrible. Once they sat us nobody acknowledged us for 15 minutes until we asked for help, and then it took another 5. We were prepared to order right away, since we read on the menu the paella took 45 minutes to make. We ordered other plates to share, and after 1.5 hours were told that our paella was never put in. By that point we'd been there almost 2 hours and had to leave. We weren't charged for the paella but weren't comped ANYTHING on our order and barely got an apology. It was a disaster, and I'm not usually picky about service! Too bad, the food was pretty good.
Very average. Brunch food was below Denny’s quality for each of our party of nine. Service was very average including receiving unordered drinks, slow service and lack of engagement.
Mostly great, but can’t have the thermostat stuck at 75.
Great service and great food.
The tapas were very delicious and flavorful, however the main course was flat and one dimensional. The service was horrendous! Our party of 6 had meals served 3 different times, no dishes or silverware was brought for our dessert, we got up and took settings from a neighboring table!
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and it was a let down. Old building, no ambiance, sporadic service (when received it was good). Our drinks were good and about half of the small plates we ordered were FANTASTIC, others blah.
Had a reservation and we had to wait 15 min.... not a big deal until we noticed a couple that came in after us with no reservation received a better table. We were positioned right next to post and surrounded by close tables in every direction. Food was good but the seating was very annoying in our case.
We went there prior to the Jazz game. Service was very attentive, food was excellent and a new experience for us. We'll definitely be back.
