Wait Staff was accommodating.
Service was great.
Food is overpriced. Not the place to be if your spending one night in Boston.
Ambience is nice.
The best service! Highly recommend. A wonderful experience. I will be back!
Great waitress. It was warm and cozy and not too loud when we were dining. They were out of my entree, but waitress accommodated changes and made dining experience very nice. Oysters were delicious.
Very convenient within the financial district. Nice venue, great service, great food, but a bit pricy for lunch, and a bit too loud for quiet conversation or a larger table.
My husband and I decided to try this place out because saw razor clam pics on YELP. However, this dish was retired and not on their current menu. We always try to stay away from local oysters because of the brininess however we took the plunge that night. Surprisingly, the oysters were sweet and fresh, not fishy at all. Atmosphere was serene and upscale. We dined on a Monday night. A bit quiet but I can see that this place has potential to be crazy on Fridays and Weekends. Service was attentive and friendly, not overbearing. We even got a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Thank you! I will definitely be back here to try their ever changing seasonal menus.
Excellent food, great service, cool ambiance.
We had a nice time. The food and service were good (per usual).
Our server was fantastic- she had a professional, genuinely happy and helpful. Great service and she is a great ambassador for your restaurant. Her server name is Chandani K. Will be back again
We had a nice dinner gathering for our family, a party of 5. The menu was extensive and gave evryone a good choice for dinner.
Menu was very limited. I dont mind paying high prices for good food quality but unfortunately this was not the case. Will not be going back.
Everything on the menu sounded delicious; it was difficult to choose!
Excellent Valentine’s Day celebration. Beautiful decor and atmosphere. Service was great, menu was elegant. Very busy, so it was a bit loud for our liking. Will be back!
Valentines dinner for my wife and I. Truly enjoyed the dining experiences
Fin Point is terrible. The food is the best part, and while solid and quite decent, it is far overpriced and overshadowed by the other problems with this place.
I had a 9pm reservation. I still had bit been seated when at 9:40 when I told the host to take us out of the queue because we had settled into bar seats and decided just to eat there.
Food was slow and wrong, we were ignored most of the time, and the place was totally disorganized.
Arrived promptly on time for an 8:45PM reservation; the host informed us it would be a few more minutes and suggested waiting at the bar and he would text us when the table was ready. 20 minutes later still no text. Went back to the host for an update, at which point he was unable to give an estimate. Another 25 minutes waiting at the bar and after going to check on the table once again we were finally seated. Once seated however, we waited an additional 15 minutes for our server to come by. I don't mind waiting 10 minutes or so as tables are turning over; but 45 minutes plus an additional 15 to be helped is a full hour, which is unacceptable. Most good restaurants attempt to minimize the damage during situations like this with a quick apology and perhaps offering to buy a cocktail or an appetizer; but the host and server did not seem to care that we had been waiting for a full hour. Ambiance was cool but will not be returning.
We booked a reservation for 7:45 pm on Valentine’s Day. Weren’t seated until 8:30. We picked this restaurant based on their expansive menu and when we were seated we found out that there were only four over priced options for dinner. Lastly our waitress was clearly stressed (probably from the amount of complaints she was receiving from other guests) and did not seem well informed on the menu options.
While the service was good, we were extremely disappointed in the food. Especially given the limited menu for Valentine's day, we would have expected better food. The Gnocchi was luke warm on the outside and very cold in the center. My Sea Bass was also just luke warm and fairly bland. Needless to say, we will most likely not be back given the numerous other restaurants in Boston.
The overall experience was good, however I felt that our waitress seem to be almost rushing us to finish with our meal. Within three minutes of sitting down at the table she had asked us at least once and I think twice if we decided on Meal yet even though we had just received our menus
My wife and I went to Fin Point for lunch. Great menu and service. The clamchowder and oysters were excellent. My wife had the scollaps and I had the seared tuna. Both were excellent. Our server was friendly and very attentive. It was a bit loud but we're liked the vibe.
Excellent Caesar salad! Good food, well prepared, and served by capable staff. Weekday lunches can get rather loud.
Had business lunch at Fin Point and was really impressed! The service was excellent! I had just taken the last sip of my iced tea when our server delivered another one. I had the grain bowl with shrimp and thought it was fabulous. This was a real find! Highly recommend.
Food was good but
I went to Fin Point with 3 co-workers and overall, the food was fantastic. There was one special on the menu for dinner-gnocchi with shrimp, and it was so good that we wound up getting a second one for the table. The gnocchi is made fresh and the blend of all the flavors was perfect. The dining area is spacious with plenty of room between tables. While the ceiling is pretty tall, the acoustics are pretty good where you can hear each other talk. Service was also on point. Overall, great experience and I'd definitely come back.
Oysters, clean and fresh perfection, octopus and service were A++ celebrated a birthday and staff was 1000%. High five for this accomplishment in the city Boston.
The Food was amazing! We had a wonderful night out with friends and the food was perfect. Highly recommend!
Ironic that one of the most reliably tasty restaurants in Boston should reside in a mid-range hotel. The range of choices is somewhat limited but the preparation and quality are first rate, as is the service. Their Caesar salad is actually a Caesar salad! Portions are generous and priced reasonably. I am not a fan of the decor, but it is generally comfortable, which is all one can ask.
Brussels sprouts had a nice flavor but were overcooked to the point of being mushy. Salmon was overcooked.
Good meal and our server was great.
Great setting, amazing food, and excellent service. I would recommend it for any occasion from private to work related.
The oysters were fresh and delicious. We also split the chowder and fig flatbread. Can’t wait to go back.
Have been here for breakfast every time I visit Boston. The avocado toast is on point and the service is always good. Can’t wait to return for dinner one day.
I dined at Fin Point on New Years Eve. They had a special NYE menu with three courses. My reservation was at 9:30 pm, I was seated at 10:15 and did not get the last course until 12:15 am. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and guests were asking for, and ordering, from the full menu. I would have anticipated Fin Point preparing for a busier than usually evening and staffing the restaurant appropriately. Deviating from a special menu probably did not help the confusion, long waits, and poor service experienced. The celebration at NYE was fun and there was a complimentary champagne toast. Overall, my expectations were much higher than the final experience, especially considering the money spent.
Went on New Years Eve, had a reservation made before hand and had a 30 minute wait, but they were really busy. Really enjoyed their NYE special and food, we even got a free champagne toast! They also had the BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life, so if I ever go back to Boston I might just have to special order a whole cheesecake if they allow it!
Although the food was good, can’t say it was worth the price. We were only given the set 3 course dinner menu and didn’t know they were serving their regular dinner menu. My girlfriend was not happy when she realized other tables were receiving different dishes. She had some dishes in mind from the regular dinner menu and since it was her birthday, it ruined her mood during dinner. The server was nice enough to take off the desserts.
The B Team on service (coffee forgotten service experienced 2 days before was far superior
Lovely place for a family reunion! Our server was attentive & made excellent recommendations —our meals were delicious & the desserts were divine! We liked it so much that we promptly came back for brunch!
The salmon was amazing as well as the Brussels sprout appetizer. Great restaurant very close to Fanuel Hall.
We got to Fins at 3:45pm on Saturday. This is our second time here. We were in Boston to see White Christmas with our two adult daughters. We all love oysters and were thrilled to see the sign $1.00 oysters on Saturday and Sunday. We ordered a dozen of oysters and wine. Wait staff is fantastic and the atmosphere so festive. We ordered some more food and another 1/2 dozen oysters. All was great until the bill was presented to me. All the oysters were $3.50 or more? I inquired about this and the waiter said the $1 oysters are only till 4pm. WHAT??? He heard us all saying how fantastic it is that there were $1 oysters AND the sign as we entered Fin Point doesn't say till 4pm. He took the bill and corrected the first dozen BUT NOT the 1/2 dozen. WHAT???? anyhow I wrote the management but to date NO RESPONSE. Great time until the bill ......
Excellent service with food to match
Sea Bass was the best
Lunch started out well, good service and friendly wait staff. However, as soon as it got busy we lost our waitress. Had to flag her down to get our check. Our waitress was clearly trying to cover too many tables, so we ended up with an almost 2 hour lunch because service was slow. Need to hire more people. Food was good, salads are very small - not entree size.
