The server was so pushy and ODD! It made my party very uncomfortable and rushed.
Food was meh. Had the fish tacos. Not a ton of fish, not a ton of flavor. Overpriced. Nice setting and good service.
The food is always so fresh and declicious- you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Our waiter was polite, prompt and perpetually checking in with us throughout our meal.
We both had salads with add-I s (salmon and chicken). Excellent portions and great tasting. The mussels appetizer was excellent.
Exquisite. My restaurant of choice every time I come to Boston!
Attached to the Hilton in the financial district of Boston. Menu it’s fairly uninspired. Lots of puréed vegetables to be found. I had a tuna steak which was actually well prepared with some baby bok choy
For a quick meal if you’re staying here you could do worse, but there’s so much more to try in Boston
Portion was extremely small and not very filling. Also, asked for bread (it wasn't offered) and it took awhile for it to come. I've had better experiences there in the past.
The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was fun and the food was great. We would definitely go back.
The food was delicious and the portions were decent. My steak was cooked perfectly (I ordered medium rare). The wait staff was great! Our waiter took great care of us and the manager stopped by to ask how we were doing. Our meal ended with a free dessert! I highly recommend for a date night or special occasion.
Joined a friend for lunch and had an amazing beet salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was delicious and very flavorful and the salad was wonderful. Love the atmosphere here. Highly recommend!
Took 45 mins for drinks and 1 he and half for food.
Limited seafood options. It's a part of the Hilton hotel so they have a captive audience. Ambiance is nice and though we were seated promptly, the service is lagging. Hostess was on point with water & table candle refills.
It’s connected to the Hilton Hotel. It was very busy. I am not sure because it was their usual Friday after work crowd or the hotel patrons. Regardless the service was impeccable and the food was noteworthy. I ordered the beet salad and the swordfish. The beet salad was perhaps the best beet salad I have ever eaten. The presentation was beautiful and very flavorful. The swordfish was light and a good size portion. The scallops my friend order literally melted in my mouth. He next time we are in Boston, we will visit again.
I've been here several times, good food - but overpriced.
Second visit to Fin Point in last 5 weeks, both times for dinner, and again a really good experience. I appreciate the interior of the restaurant, the comfortable seating, and like the energy level of the restaurant (good vibe) without being overly loud or crowded. The quality of food is high and service by the staff was exceptional. Cocktails from the bar come in generous size and are of good quality.
the food was great but the service was a little erratic. very slow initially, forgot to bring replacement knives and forks after our starters and then rushed us to choose a dessert. When we still hadn't got around to looking at the dessert menu they brought a chocolate mousse to the table.
Bar service was atrocious, and it wasn’t that busy. No prices on drink menus for cocktails, so you have to hunt them down through bar tender, who seemed less than interested in doing her job. Why hide pricing information? Cause they have quite steep up charges for run if the mill whiskey. Dining service was much better, with prompt and professional staff. Food was good, with a mostly sea food there as you’d expect from the restaurant name.
It was a great space. The food was good. I am not sure the price point, but it was good nonetheless! The environment was great and the staff were amazing!
Very happy with our choice to have our anniversary dinner/celebration at Fin Point. They even presented us with champagne to celebrate. We started with raw oysters and crab cake. Both were spectacular. My husband loves to make and eat crab cakes and he claimed it to be one of the best he had eaten. I had the the Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. I love Sea Bass and have found it difficult to find on a menu. Not only did they have it but it was amazing. My husband had the seafood stew and he enjoyed that as well. We finished with a great key lime tart. It was an expensive night but worth it.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at Fin Point and this was our first time here. We read the reviews and decided that we would give it a try. The service was outstanding and we were here on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was busy and we passed through a very lively bar. The food was excellent. We started with several types oysters, along with the fish taco's, calamari and the sweet and sour meatballs which were all excellent. We tried the sea bass and salmon which were cooked perfectly. We ended the meal with the key lime pie. Overall a wonderful dinner and we will be back! We very much enjoyed it!
What a great first experience at Fin Point! The food was absolutely delicious but what stood out even more was the outstanding service. Can't wait to return!!
From the time we walked in we were treated like we were celebrating a birthday or anniversary. My fiancée and I started with the Sea bass Tartare which was a unique dish and it tasted amazing. The host then dropped a complimentary octopus appetizer on the table before our entree’s came out. The service was excellent. The ambiance was perfect for a date night. After dinner we were pleasantly surprised with the Brown Sugar Cheesecake which was like no cheesecake we’ve ever eaten before. It was so rich in flavor. The perfect end to a perfect night.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, great recommendations for food. Menu had a nice mix of seafood and other things.
Raw bar was great. Its a bit over priced for what you can find in the area if you are willing to leave the hotel.
Great time great vibe!!
Absolutely love this place, so we come back every time we visit Boston!
The flat breads and the beet salad are amazing. The beet salad is different based on the season,
however always great. For main dishes we tried the chicken, lamb and fish ones, and everyone was equally excited about the flavors and presentation. Can't wait to be back!
Absolutely not good. Food had no flavor. I will never ever go back.
Their raw bar was outstanding. Wellfleet oysters were big, meaty, creamy, and incredibly tasty. My wife and I are oyster lovers but always wonder why Boston has no place where you can enjoy truly delicious oysters like west coast or European restaurants. We finally found one! Other menu items such as torched ahi tuna and grilled octopus were also very good. Our server Yuliya (Yulia?j was very nice and efficient. We will be back!
Seated promptly. Good ambience. Chose appetizer for lunch; wait person suggested a lunch salad as well - was disappointed with it unfortunately. More cabbage than taste...
Ordered the scallops and friend got the burger. Both were very, very good. Service was also excellent. Our waitress was personable and attentive.
Absolutely nothing special about Fin Point. Like most modern restaurants the room is designed to generate maximum noise when the tables are full - Open Table calls it “energetic”, but its actually just Loud. There seems to be a new restaurant in this hotel every 4 or 5 years. Don’t know why they can’t find one people want to return to, but the restaurants probably last as long as they do because most of the diners are on company expense accounts and don’t even think about whether Fin Point was worth it.
great restaurant. Good food great service, will go back often.
Delicious meal. Located in a hotel but not hotel-type food. Although on the high price side, the entire meal was so remarkable. The chicken and the scallops were done to great satisfaction and the waitrees, Ellie, was so informative and helpful. Definitely will re-visit this restaurant soon.
We had a team gathering and it was wonderful. Good appetizers to share, great selection for entrees and shared dessert. Drinks and wine are very good. Great time!
We went on NYE and expected it to be a little bit crazy. To our surprise, we were sat nearly immediately (thanks to our Open Table reservation). Our server had a busy section but was still very attentive and didnt skip a beat in providing us great service. Food was amazing and presented beautifully. Live music was playing but wasn't so powerful that we couldn't hear each other talk across the table. It was a perfect noise level. A special bonus, it was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Just the cherry on top of an excellent experience!
We went for drinks and liked the staff very much the Manager Conor was super nice yet professional and our waitress Ellie was very happy and bubbly.
We decided to try dinner there the next evening, different staff but still very good. The food did take an age to get to us after an hour and a half we had only had one drink and a starter of four shrimp and a starter of back ribs. It was a longtime to wait and while we appreciate the food is cooked to order we thought some bread or something similar while we waited would have been appreciated. It was not overly busy in the restaurant either so not sure why it took so long.
We noticed that the staff dress code was confusing the guys wore shirts and waistcoats etc yet our waitress had a skimpy top and leggings which got us into a discussion what type of restaurant are they trying to portray. The restaurant itself is really lovely yet there are eight screens around the walls. It is a romantic spot in the evening with lots of couples having dinner. However, most of the guys were watching the TVs personally I’m not keen in TVs in really nice restaurants.
This being said, the food and wine was very good, the service was good too, it was just the distraction of the TVs that in my opinion let it down.
The staff is very very friendly and professional. Very attentive without over bearing! Excellent food ! High marks for the crab cake!
We showed up late (after 10) and sat in a corner booth. We only had appetizers and drinks but everything was outstanding! GET THE OCTOPUS TACOS!
We booked for Christmas Day and were disappointed with the food
My husband had to send his food back as it was cold and his Pork was very over cooked
While portions of our meal were excellent, the scallops were over cooked. A “no-no”, especially since it was indicated on the menu that they would be barely cooked as a warning for those who may not like that. The meal took 25 minutes to get to us and we were too hungry to send it back. Other than that lovely tastes and a great server !
