We visited Boston for a few days, normally we like to try different restaurants when we travel but Fin Point was so outstanding and had such a wonderful menu, we ate there twice for dinner, both times our servers went were fabulous! The chef and servers were extremely attentive to my wife's dietary restrictions and made sure she had a great meal. We love this place!
Food and service were good, not exceptional. Personal taste is for a quieter venue, this is NOT.
Delicious food, the sea bass tartare with truffle oil was absolutely amazing. The only downside was it is rated as being less expensive than it is. The food was worth the price but it should be considered $$.
Nice local downtown restaurant that is a good value. Have had several business lunches there.
The Faroe Island Salmon was excellent. The raw bar terrific. The service started slow but did improve. We were very happy with our meals
Incredible experience at Fin Point. Beautifully paired meal snd outstanding wine list with impeccable service!!!
Perfect special occasion dinner with my sister and niece. The ambience has a great vibe, casual but elegant with servers who take good care of you but don't hover. The best things we experienced: every bite was so delicious and we were consistently being attended to but in a manner that didn't interrupt our conversation.
The presentation of our meals was beautiful and simple. The tastes: butternut humus, a burger that was smoky, moist and so interesting and the tuna tacos with a siracha sauce that didn't overpower.
One added bonus was seeing the horse drawn carriage from Haymarket square ride by the lovely long windows. Thank you Fin Point for a "just right" dinner.
We enjoyed the food and the look of the restaurant at Fin Point, but the sound level in the entire restaurant and bar was unbearable. We were seated at a table near the private rooms on the left side of the restaurant, and there was a group in the room next to us.
The volume of voices coming from the room out towards us was like a trombone, and made conversation at our 4 top difficult, but in addition, there was another 4 top with a guy who spent the evening literally screaming at his dinner partners.
It would be better to be seated by the windows I think, but as we left and walked through the bar on the way out, we could hear that the staff had turned whatever music they were playing up to a level that left the whole place just feeling frenetic, not fun.
The restaurant can't do much about patrons yelling, but they certainly could manage their own music and interior surfaces better.
Great selection of food that tasted amazing. Our group of 4 had the burrata appetizer, salmon and steak entrees. The food was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The staff was attentive. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for fall which provided a nice ambiance.
Decent, but pricy and small lobster roll. All the food was good but somewhat overpriced, even by downtown standards
This was a great surprise. Meals were great and serving staff was on top of everything. Attentive without being annoying and helpful/knowledgeable in menu and preparations.
All good. Exceeded expectations and we will go back.
Delicious nice ambiance
A tad expensive
Food was on point!
Food was outstanding. We will be trying Fin Point again when we visit Boston. Service was a little slow, but still good. I believe we hit them pretty late, so it may be that the staff was tired from a long day.
Went for an early dinner after a matinee theater performance and had a great meal with friendly waitstaff. The swordfish and sea bass were particular standouts.
Sehr schön aber nicht günstig. Tolles Ambiente. Nette Bedienung
Excellent service! Food was amazing. The Lobster Ravioli was best that we ever had. The Manager, Connor took great care of us. Stopping by several times to check on us. Our waiter was attentive also. Food came out quickly but not rushed. Easy walk from the Seaport. We recommend this place and will be back.
Fantastic seafood and friendly service, conveniently located a few steps from the waterfront, In a classy, relaxed, quiet and comfortable setting, SO much better than the always loud/cramped/huried options across the street in the North End...a true gem!
Went here for the first time. The space was nice and was happy they could seat our large party. The food was mediocre. Nothing special. And prices were very high for what you got. Service was also pretty slow. We likely won't go back as it wasn't good value.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. My only negatives are that it is on the expensive side and the cocktail I ordered (off menu Rob Roy, so maybe my fault) tasted like bottom shelf (i.e. not terrible, but nothing special). Overall, I definitely recommend for a special occasion, just stick to the menu for your drinks.
After being seated for a late lunch, with a very light crowd (about 20% full), we were served water fairly quickly. We then waited 15 minutes without anyone coming to the table or stopping to serve us.
We got up and left. Looked like a good menu. Terrible service and poor management.
Food was over cooked and all tasted the same.
This was a last minute find for a date night with the Mrs and I was impressed with the food and the service. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday night and they have TVs tuned into sports for that crowd but the atmosphere that night was more date/family night there. I would recommend it to anyone that loves good seafood.
Great place, opulent decor, outstanding food, Kevin is a great server and provided good recommendations.
The fish was hot and fresh. Service outstanding! The wine was delicious
The service was absolutely amazing!!! The food portions were small and very expensive. We got the bronzini and the fish filet was very thin and very small, while the taste was flavorful I’m just happy the polenta served with it was good because the fish would not have filled me up. We also got linguine with clams... came with very few clams. The clam chowder over priced and lacked flavor.
Great food, really good service and love the atmosphere.
The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, great location downtown, our server was charming and helpful, and the food was delicious. Glad we tried it!
Pleasant atmosphere, extensive menu and great food.
The halibut was INCREDIBLE!!!!
Great food and service!
Located in Hilton Hotel ... would highly recommend for good food for price
Superb service. Variety of menu and quality of food was excellent for our large group of 12. Comfortable seating for our large party. Highly recommend.
Outstanding food, a menu to die for. Better for lunch than dinner as it gets quite noisy in the evening.
We had a great dinner at Fin Point. Service was good and attentive. The halibut was delicious as were the scallops and heirloom tomato/ bursts salad! The strawberry shortcake was a great summer treat!
The service was especially exceptional!
Food was superb and while servers were nice the meal took too long to be served and once appetizers arrived main course was right after it.
Horrible acoustics diminish the quality of this dining experience. Food is very, very good with a creative presentation, service is relatively attentive and the bar selection is top notch.
Great food, great place. Always a go to
