Great food and service
I booked Fin Point for a 4 person business dinner not realizing it was in the Hilton. The service staff was friendly and put us at a relatively quiet table as I had requested. We started with the fried calamari and oyster tacos, the latter which were excellent 3 of us had the lobster roll which was good but could have used more seasoning. I would certainly recommend Fin Point for business travelers and as a good financial district location for dinner.
Fin Point was an unexpected surprise. We picked it because it was close to an event around the corner. The service was great and the food was delicious. The duck and swordfish were big hits. If you are looking for a place downtown in the financial district I would definitely recommend it.
This place is very good. Especially for a place inside a hotel.
Great service! Delicious food! Happening atmosphere! We love this place!
Always have a great experience at Fin ! This time, we booked a casual party of 10 + and stood around the longer tables that are in the middle. It was perfect also considering it was a Thursday in December holiday season. The service and everyone we dealt with was excellent.
Really good food, ambiance and service, but gets pricey faster than you think
The service was the best thank you
Went here for a casual lunch and I was not disappointed. The weight staff is always helpful and the food is very good. Great spot for any occasion (especially a quick lunch)
great food and great service
always happy to be back
It is, at the end of the day, a hotel restaurant in downtown Boston. The service was pleasant, the choices were good, the taste was fine. For example, I had the bolongese. That sauce was very good, the pasta was so so. We went before a play at the Emerson Opera House so it was fine. Would not seek it out, but would eat there again if needed.
Absolutely amazing restaurant, whether you are staying nearby or making a trip into the city. Recommended by our hotel concierge, our expectations were blown away as soon as we walked in the door. Beautifully decorated, spacious yet intimate with the perfect lighting. The service is top notch, thanks to Tess, Antonio & Conor (with one “n”)! We loved Fin Point so much we ate there 5 days in row, 4 nights for dinner and on the last day before leaving for the airport we had a fabulous breakfast. Can’t rave enough about the Octopus tacos. Such a unique twist with the pumpkin tortillas. This was a staple each night, in addition to the NE clam chowder, which was so full of clams, thick & creamy with the perfect amount of bacon and just the right size potatoes. If I could have taken home cans of this I would have. The flatbreads are delicious and the salmon left me wanting seconds! Desserts do not disappoint, either. Again, the service here shines as much as the chefs and really helped to turn Fin Point into our home away from home while in town for a conference. Can’t wait to be able to return! Hope the owners consider Washington, DC for their next location :)
Beautiful restaurant in a great location. Service was very mediocre but otherwise we enjoyed ourselves. Went for Sunday brunch. Enjoyed the $1 oysters and Bloody Mary.
Awesome breakfast. Great ambiance. Terrific service.
We had an excellent experience Friday evening. The ambience is nice with a great vibe. We were a party of four and had oysters, octopus tacos, bolognese, scallops, duck and pizza - all very good. The manager came over several times and sent over dessert. The only negative is the wine list was a bit pricy. I would highly recommend.
Had an enjoyable experience
I wasn't really expecting much, but oh, was I surprised! The food was fantastic and the service superb. The tuna/rice cake appetizer is a must and the lobster roll was divine!!
Food was great. I gave 4 stars since coming from California I wish the chef would use a bit less butter. I will go again and ask to put less butter.
My mother has a gluten allergy, and the server was very accommodating. We all had a great time. Best duck I have had in a long time!
The food is always great here, the filet mignon with twiced baked potatoes is my favorite also the oysters are nice and fresh, clam chowder is the best , and chocolate mousse dessert is also the best I have ever eaten.
Food and service was amazing. Took my girlfriend for her birthday and everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our visit to Fin Point! The service and food were outstanding! Can't wait to go again.
Absolutely wonderful raw bar, the desserts were perfect, and the wines outstanding.
Drinks were horrific and I sent back two cocktails. Food was average for the price. Server was nice. Plenty of better spots for that type of money.
Food was good, but not as good as the hype. Great location. Nice place.
Always have a great time at Fin Point. Also, the was exceptionally good this time.
Amazing food and service! Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and the service was on point. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were even brought dessert for our special occasion. The restaurant itself is beautiful too. We will be back the next time in Boston.
Food was good. Had the hamburger and it was a little under cooked, typical for most restaurants to under cook a hamburger for some reason. The flavor of the burger was excellent though. My wife had the salmon and she enjoyed it. Service is excellent.
We visited Boston for a few days, normally we like to try different restaurants when we travel but Fin Point was so outstanding and had such a wonderful menu, we ate there twice for dinner, both times our servers went were fabulous! The chef and servers were extremely attentive to my wife's dietary restrictions and made sure she had a great meal. We love this place!
Food and service were good, not exceptional. Personal taste is for a quieter venue, this is NOT.
Delicious food, the sea bass tartare with truffle oil was absolutely amazing. The only downside was it is rated as being less expensive than it is. The food was worth the price but it should be considered $$.
Nice local downtown restaurant that is a good value. Have had several business lunches there.
The Faroe Island Salmon was excellent. The raw bar terrific. The service started slow but did improve. We were very happy with our meals
Incredible experience at Fin Point. Beautifully paired meal snd outstanding wine list with impeccable service!!!
Perfect special occasion dinner with my sister and niece. The ambience has a great vibe, casual but elegant with servers who take good care of you but don't hover. The best things we experienced: every bite was so delicious and we were consistently being attended to but in a manner that didn't interrupt our conversation.
The presentation of our meals was beautiful and simple. The tastes: butternut humus, a burger that was smoky, moist and so interesting and the tuna tacos with a siracha sauce that didn't overpower.
One added bonus was seeing the horse drawn carriage from Haymarket square ride by the lovely long windows. Thank you Fin Point for a "just right" dinner.
We enjoyed the food and the look of the restaurant at Fin Point, but the sound level in the entire restaurant and bar was unbearable. We were seated at a table near the private rooms on the left side of the restaurant, and there was a group in the room next to us.
The volume of voices coming from the room out towards us was like a trombone, and made conversation at our 4 top difficult, but in addition, there was another 4 top with a guy who spent the evening literally screaming at his dinner partners.
It would be better to be seated by the windows I think, but as we left and walked through the bar on the way out, we could hear that the staff had turned whatever music they were playing up to a level that left the whole place just feeling frenetic, not fun.
The restaurant can't do much about patrons yelling, but they certainly could manage their own music and interior surfaces better.
Great selection of food that tasted amazing. Our group of 4 had the burrata appetizer, salmon and steak entrees. The food was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. The staff was attentive. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for fall which provided a nice ambiance.
Decent, but pricy and small lobster roll. All the food was good but somewhat overpriced, even by downtown standards
This was a great surprise. Meals were great and serving staff was on top of everything. Attentive without being annoying and helpful/knowledgeable in menu and preparations.
All good. Exceeded expectations and we will go back.
Delicious nice ambiance
A tad expensive
