Fin Point
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, great recommendations for food. Menu had a nice mix of seafood and other things.
Raw bar was great. Its a bit over priced for what you can find in the area if you are willing to leave the hotel.
Great time great vibe!!
Absolutely love this place, so we come back every time we visit Boston!
The flat breads and the beet salad are amazing. The beet salad is different based on the season,
however always great. For main dishes we tried the chicken, lamb and fish ones, and everyone was equally excited about the flavors and presentation. Can't wait to be back!
Absolutely not good. Food had no flavor. I will never ever go back.
Their raw bar was outstanding. Wellfleet oysters were big, meaty, creamy, and incredibly tasty. My wife and I are oyster lovers but always wondered why Boston has no place where you can enjoy truly delicious oysters like west coast or European restaurants. We finally found one! Other menu items such as torched ahi tuna and grilled octopus were also very good. Our server Yuliya (Yulia?j was very nice and efficient. We will be back!
Seated promptly. Good ambience. Chose appetizer for lunch; wait person suggested a lunch salad as well - was disappointed with it unfortunately. More cabbage than taste...
Ordered the scallops and friend got the burger. Both were very, very good. Service was also excellent. Our waitress was personable and attentive.
Absolutely nothing special about Fin Point. Like most modern restaurants the room is designed to generate maximum noise when the tables are full - Open Table calls it “energetic”, but its actually just Loud. There seems to be a new restaurant in this hotel every 4 or 5 years. Don’t know why they can’t find one people want to return to, but the restaurants probably last as long as they do because most of the diners are on company expense accounts and don’t even think about whether Fin Point was worth it.
great restaurant. Good food great service, will go back often.
Delicious meal. Located in a hotel but not hotel-type food. Although on the high price side, the entire meal was so remarkable. The chicken and the scallops were done to great satisfaction and the waitrees, Ellie, was so informative and helpful. Definitely will re-visit this restaurant soon.
We had a team gathering and it was wonderful. Good appetizers to share, great selection for entrees and shared dessert. Drinks and wine are very good. Great time!
We went on NYE and expected it to be a little bit crazy. To our surprise, we were sat nearly immediately (thanks to our Open Table reservation). Our server had a busy section but was still very attentive and didnt skip a beat in providing us great service. Food was amazing and presented beautifully. Live music was playing but wasn't so powerful that we couldn't hear each other talk across the table. It was a perfect noise level. A special bonus, it was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. Just the cherry on top of an excellent experience!
We went for drinks and liked the staff very much the Manager Conor was super nice yet professional and our waitress Ellie was very happy and bubbly.
We decided to try dinner there the next evening, different staff but still very good. The food did take an age to get to us after an hour and a half we had only had one drink and a starter of four shrimp and a starter of back ribs. It was a longtime to wait and while we appreciate the food is cooked to order we thought some bread or something similar while we waited would have been appreciated. It was not overly busy in the restaurant either so not sure why it took so long.
We noticed that the staff dress code was confusing the guys wore shirts and waistcoats etc yet our waitress had a skimpy top and leggings which got us into a discussion what type of restaurant are they trying to portray. The restaurant itself is really lovely yet there are eight screens around the walls. It is a romantic spot in the evening with lots of couples having dinner. However, most of the guys were watching the TVs personally I’m not keen in TVs in really nice restaurants.
This being said, the food and wine was very good, the service was good too, it was just the distraction of the TVs that in my opinion let it down.
The staff is very very friendly and professional. Very attentive without over bearing! Excellent food ! High marks for the crab cake!
We showed up late (after 10) and sat in a corner booth. We only had appetizers and drinks but everything was outstanding! GET THE OCTOPUS TACOS!
We booked for Christmas Day and were disappointed with the food
My husband had to send his food back as it was cold and his Pork was very over cooked
Very disappointing
While portions of our meal were excellent, the scallops were over cooked. A “no-no”, especially since it was indicated on the menu that they would be barely cooked as a warning for those who may not like that. The meal took 25 minutes to get to us and we were too hungry to send it back. Other than that lovely tastes and a great server !
Waiter was not paying attention to what was ordered as we had to repeat often. Didn’t charge the proper check after all was done.
Ok food. Poor, slow service we won’t go back
I was here with my friends on a Christmas Eve. The restaurant wasn’t full so it was quiet and cozy. The oysters were very fresh and good. We had lobster roll, salmon, steak frites, and clam chowder and all of them were REALLY GOOD!! I wish the server was a little more knowledgeable on wine, but it’s ok.
Food was good and the inside is very nice. Restaurant is located inside the Hilton hotel. Over priced for what you get.
My family had a wonderful gathering at Fin Point for the holidays!
We went for my Moms birthday and the meal was nothing short of wonderful! This was her first birthday since we lost my and our server Kristin made it such a great experience by surprising her with dessert that had a candle in it! Thanks for such an amazing experience and we will definitely be coming back!
Service:
Not impressed by service. He pushed us along, gave us the highest priced items when we asked for recommendation and wasn’t very attentive.
Food:
Oysters were incredible!! The seared tuna salad, however, was small for the price and a lot of bitter cabbage which wasn’t pleasant.
Great food and service
Great location, vibe and oysters!
Fin Point rivals every hotel restaurant In Boston, service is excellent, the food is of the best quality... my favorite breakfast, brunch, cocktail and appy spot hands down! I stay at the Hilton because of Fin Point 🐠
Always amazing!!!!
Best breakfast in beantown!!!!
I booked Fin Point for a 4 person business dinner not realizing it was in the Hilton. The service staff was friendly and put us at a relatively quiet table as I had requested. We started with the fried calamari and oyster tacos, the latter which were excellent 3 of us had the lobster roll which was good but could have used more seasoning. I would certainly recommend Fin Point for business travelers and as a good financial district location for dinner.
Yummy... that about says it all 👍
Fin Point was an unexpected surprise. We picked it because it was close to an event around the corner. The service was great and the food was delicious. The duck and swordfish were big hits. If you are looking for a place downtown in the financial district I would definitely recommend it.
This place is very good. Especially for a place inside a hotel.
Great service! Delicious food! Happening atmosphere! We love this place!
Always have a great experience at Fin ! This time, we booked a casual party of 10 + and stood around the longer tables that are in the middle. It was perfect also considering it was a Thursday in December holiday season. The service and everyone we dealt with was excellent.
Really good food, ambiance and service, but gets pricey faster than you think
The service was the best thank you
Went here for a casual lunch and I was not disappointed. The weight staff is always helpful and the food is very good. Great spot for any occasion (especially a quick lunch)
great food and great service
always happy to be back
