The food was not very good and at a very high price. I feel bad because I loved our server but the super fishy taste in every meal becomes so nauseating you can’t even finish your meal. Sad that I didn’t end up liking it.
This place would be a nice choice to hang with friends and have a drink while sharing some "snacks." But a place to have a meal, it is not. The asian fusion sushi/fried rice dishes we had were mediocre, and basic stuff (if you're serving a California roll, shouldn't there be some wasabi and soy sauce) was missed. Not a gourmet choice.
The pacing of meal delivery was very slow. We were sat for over 1 hour and 45 minutes. We had to remind the waiter that we were missing items that were included in our Omakase meals.
Lovely decor and setting fair food and service were subpar.
Food was cold and very plain
First time with dineLA event and it was an amazing experience with good quality food, nice cozy ambiance and nice friendly staff!!!
Great food, value for money and such attentive service from Kristen :)
Would not have not expected from the curb but FIN is a very cool space. Loved the enclosed porch space and the second floor is great. Sorry it took us DineLA to discover but we'll definitely be back. Fun & interesting menu and some great Japanese whiskey cocktails.
Fantastic new spot. Delicious food, excellent ambiance and outstanding cocktails. Must see / try. Cultural experience and elegant yet cozy. The speak easy upstairs is a must go, too. Also great for romantic occasions!
Thie ambience was great. Service was excellent. Rib Eye was superb!
Went here for DineLA, the service wasn't the greatest - server bumped into me on the way back from the bathroom and didn't say, excuse me or I'm sorry.. but all I got was a WHOA. Water was not brought to our table until we asked mid-meal. We also ordered sake, which was brought over and the serve said, here you go. No information or anything. Once we ordered the food and it was brought, but the server didn't know who ordered what. Food was ok. Won't be returning.
Went for DineLA and wasn’t disappointed. The truffle salmon sashimi was outstanding and the crispy rice spicy tuna was delicious. I loved the ambiance. We went upstairs to the speakeasy and it didn’t really feel like one- more like a regular bar with usual music. Was a good dining experience and good value for dineLA. Might be a bit overpriced for regular menu.
The food was not at the level I expected after reading reviews. Most dishes were either bland or just “meh”. Drinks were okay, not great. Sushi came out misshapen, with overcooked rice. Waitstaff was attentive... but that’s all I can really say was any good. It was somewhat embarrassing to me that I had suggested this restaurant to my friends, as when I returned to my table from the restroom I walked in on my friends saying how bad it was.
Great, and great service and great bartender
All I can say is that if you’re not ordering the crispy onion albacore dish, why are you going here? Side note, service is always top notch!
Had my 60th Birthday here. It was intimate and fun. I wish it was a little less pricey but we loved the food and atmosphere. Thank you Fin. Our waiter was amazing!
Traveling to LA. Last minute reservation. Did not disappoint. We decided on just appetizers. Truffle salmon was great, ditto for the albacore with crispy onions. The best was the beef carpaccio.
The food was DELICIOUS
but they had a small mosquito problem and my friend and I had 7 bites by the end of our 45 minute meal (indoors)
Food was really good, service was excellent
Love this space! Perfect for a big group, definitely recommend a reservation
I would go back again. Food was delicious and service was great!
Nice ambience, good vegetarian selections, including sushi and vegetable side dishes.
Our server, Amanda was absolutely amazing, unobtrusive and responsive. The lollipop lamb chops and crab fried rice were sooo good. We went for my husband's birthday and were escorted to The Residency upstairs for a birthday drink. Great ambiance and very welcoming staff. Will definitely go again!
Love the owners here, the staff is great, ambience is great. Food is great. It’s just great!!
Great atmosphere and check out the Speakeasy upstairs!
It was fantastic! Ian the GM was so nice and welcoming. Food was delicious.
It was great. The food was amazing and the interior was so pretty
Loved the service. Food was great too it’s always great finding places with vegan options.
After a week of going to several of LA's top sushi places I was feeling a little sushi-'d out but I agreed to giving FIN a try. REALLY glad I did- FIN was a standout. Fantastic food and tremendous service. Perfect if you're looking for a restaurant with a cool vibe but you'd also like to hear the other person talk. Cocktails were on point. We had tickets, but I wish we could have stayed longer to order dessert or try upstairs. Next time!
A wonderful atmosphere.
You can eat better dumplings in most decent Chinese restaurants. You can eat better sushi in a Japanese restaurant. The food was okay, but not great.
Service wasn't good. We ordered the four course prix fixe menu for two... got our third course first, then had to ask multiple times for the first two courses... course 1 and 4 came out together, then I had to ask for 2 again which finally showed up and wasn't very good. The waiter seemed exasperated and blamed the new management... but it still didn't fix the situation. Food was okay overall -- not enough to compensate for bad service and courses way out of order.
Valentine’s dinner service was less than stellar. Seemed very short staffed and disorganized. Otherwise great place.
Food took forever to come out. Seatings area is very small and compact.
The Valentine's day dinner menu was very nice and delicious. It was odd though that a chef who is so particular about his menu and having everything just his way decides to serve ice cream for desert that is nothing but ice crystals and for $6 on top of the desert cost. I would have taken the vanilla ice cream and tossed it out rather then serve it. Obviously it had been allowed to melt and refreeze again. I wouldn't expect anything to be wrong at a high end restaurant like this, but mistakes happen. The automatically added tip on the bill for the kitchen staff was also a little odd to see too.
Tremendous Valentine's Day dinner. Food was excellent. Service too. Will come back.
Terrific - great food and service
Fantastic food, beautiful place. Service was acceptable but not up to the standard of the food. I will be returning and definitely recommend it. Some of the best Japanese/Asian Fusion food I have had.
My experience was awesome all my guest was impressed with the whole experience
One of the worst experiences I’ve had dining in LA. Wouldn’t ever recommend this place to anyone!
