This place is a gem. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner very much. Great food & service.
Mediocre food, mushy tuna roll, got seated away from the entire restaurant in an empty room with, literally, every table open, asked the hostess to seat us at a larger table she refused saying there were reservations yet no one ever showed up. Do not recommend.
It was for a birthday but we didn’t inform them so we didn’t expect anything.
The sashimi & tempura is delicious. Try the Hello Kitty cocktail. YUM Will definitely be back
Fin has been a long time favorite however since they started to add an automatic tip of 15% the service has declined. I normally tip more than 15% but refuse to add anything additional to an automatic service charge. Especially when the service doesn’t warrant it.
I always enjoy Fin and we took advantage of Dine L.A. What a great time...as usual.
Food was great! Tried the dine LA menu and it didn’t disappoint. The first two courses were small like appetizers. Main course was filling. Sadly the service was terrible. Waited 25 minutes for the 1st course, about 35 for the second course and maybe like a few minutes till the last course showed up. Host didn’t even make an attempt to say hi. Didn’t even know if I was checked in for a reservation till my friend had to flag down another person bc the only thing the host said when I provided my name was “yeah ok.” Waited was rude after I had asked for a new cup of water since there was a lipstick stain on the one we received. Didn’t come to check up on us. When I asked how much longer for the dumplings( second course) said he would check but went outside and came back in with a supposed 2 minutes. The kitchen is inside so how are you telling me you know when I’ll receive my food when you just came from being outside. Anyways, wouldn’t come here again unless it’s takeout. Also parking was really hard to find.
Overall this was a nice experience. We ordered from the DineLA menu. It took forever for our cocktails to be served and then my husband’s tasted like a weak gimlet and mine was almost too sweet to drink. In the fixture I’ll be sticking to the wine. The first course was served in a much more timely manner and was very good. The second course was also timely and also very good. For the third course the service returned to a snails pace and had issues. My salmon and veggies were cooked perfectly but the Yuzu Buerre Blanc looked and tasted like bland white sauce. My husband’s mashed potatoes were great although amusing to eat with chopsticks but the steak, which tasted great, was tough with an inordinate amount of gristle. We will definitely come back we’ll stick to the fish. And while I would recommend to friends it would be with the caveat to stick to the wine and the fish.
We made a same day reservation on a Saturday night for DineLA week and then added another couple to our reservation later that day and Abraham was very accommodating for an outside table. This was the Best Buy we have seen on DineLA, with a 3 course dinner for $25. The food was fresh and tasty and generous portions, especially for that cost. It was a bit noisy sitting on Washington Blvd, along with the music in the background, but we were able to converse without difficulty. We will return.
The food was great! Service was excellent.
Food wasn't as good as in the past. My husband had steak that was very chewy. Waiter didn't seem too concerned. Courses come out too quickly. They need to wait until one is completed before the next come. You feel rushed.
Enjoyed the food and service. Generous portion for salmon.
Great local spot! Highly recommend the ribeye and a bonus stop to their Speakeasy Lounge.
One of the best dinners ever. Each bite was enjoyable, and every dish was delicious. Creative menu, quality ingredients, wonderful presentation, great experience. Service was excellent. Truly an unexpected and hidden gem. We look forward to returning.
We were still hungry so we ordered an extra roll
Very enjoyable! Good Restaurant month october special for $25.
We went to Fin Asian Tapas for the DineLA menu and selected the salmon entree. Overall, the server was slow in responding but the other waitstaff sort of hovered to clear plates even when you weren't through. It seemed like they were trying to get diners in and out. The food was average. The salmon had too much sauce and the crispy onion albacore was nothing special. Overall, I would not go out of my way to return.
Great place, delicious food, professional stuff
Cool hip neighborhood restaurant ! I recommend it!
Thank you Ana for your wonderful review! We look forward in having you dine with us again soon!
Really good options on their happy hour menu! Total bill was $100 for two people (4 drinks, 3 rolls, 1 skewer, edamame, gyoza, pumpkin tempura). I'd go back again
Love this place!
Food was wonderful & service was great.
Incredible as usual. From start to finish this place makes you feel at welcomed and wanted. Food, drinks, and service are all amazing. You won’t regret coming to Fin!
Amazing as always 🥰
Creative spin on sushi and rolls. Great flavors and quality fish.
This place is soooooo good! The food was outstanding and friendly service.
Our excellent waiter suggested two delicious things we never would have ordered. Great happy hour prices. Comfortable Outside seating.
Service was possibly the worst we have ever had anywhere- asked for water three times, we never got that! Food was extremely underwhelming, the sushi was at grocery store/gas station level at best- the crab roll was 80% rice. Waiter was in a very bad mood, very rude. Extremely disappointing in every way possible, we thought we’d order a few rounds of food like we normally do at tapas restaurants but ended up cutting our meal short after the first round of food and going elsewhere.
Food is gross! We ordered sushi roll that was 70% rice and 30% sushi which was plated very unattractively and unappetizing. We also ordered Jicama fish taco that is a 1-bite sized, pork dumplings that have a gross orange sauce, and a beef gyoza in lobster sauce with the sauce that tasted similar to a diluted powered packet from the store. And get this, they automatically add 15% gratuity on your bill, hence their waiters are absolutely unattractive to your needs. We dine out often, and this restaurant is by far the worst restaurant we’ve ever been. Lastly, you’ll be disappointed with how the restaurant interior looks like. The Inside is nothing like in the pictures posted on OpenTable!
Our favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Always good :)
FIN has been a regular neighborhood restaurant for us for years, as a couple and with kids--who still come with us now that they're post-college. Food and service are excellent, in every respect. We order at least one of the amazing Salmon Truffle Sashimi at every visit, sometimes splitting it, sometimes each getting his/her own. Jicama Fish Tacos, Spicy Yellowtail Tempura, Tuna and Albacore specialty appetizers, Grilled Avocado, Chicken Teriyaki Bowl, Lobster/Beef Gyoza are also regulars. We usually make meals out of appetizers. You can't go wrong. The Covid sidewalk patio is as nice as any, a little breezy at the sides. The dining room can get noisy (popular, hard surfaces, the usual) so ask for the back one if that matters. Servers are nice and attentive.
Food is delicious but took a long time to arrive. A free drink or appetizer would have been nice after waiting over half an hour for a roll.
Generally I really like this place and the servers are really nice. Cocktails are delicious.
The service was awful. Waited almost a hour between ordering edamame and it arriving at our table. The food is always good.
Service & food was excellent.
The food at FIN is outstanding. Every item we ordered was delicious. Happy hour is a great deal. It would be a good time to try the food at this restaurant because you can sample a variety of items affordably and come back for dinner knowing what you might like to order. The main menu is a bit pricey in my opinion however, my tight budget is probably not a good measure of what's affordable. Our server, a young blonde woman was excellent. She was attentive and sincerely helpful without being imposing. The decor and ambiance is nothing special but the food will make up for that. I highly recommend trying FIN at least once.
Been going to FIN for years. One of our favorite restaurants. They're consistently delicious and we've never been disappointed.
Very tasty tasty sauces
This place is totally amazing. I was looking for sushi for a business meal and came across this restaurant in Trip Advisor. The positive reviews were right on point. Abraham was great on the phone and assure we would have a good experience. He was correct. A tip; when unsure, order the house favorites, you won’t go wrong.
YAY! We are so Happy to hear and see that you had a 5 Star experience! We look forward in having you dine with us again soon. Please be sure to check out our sister bar- The Alley Lounge behind the restaurant before or after your dining experience.
Just dinner with a friend! As always it was delicious! Love Fin!!!

Had a great evening with the boyfriend and meeting some friends for dinner. The food was good and the ambiance was great also. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.
