Great service! Food was great! Will definitely be going back!
Great food and atmosphere. More casual than we were expecting, but fun and reasonably priced with good portions. Went for our anniversary and our waitress treated us to not just one, but multiple desserts! The bartender also made a custom drink for my wife (it was one of the choices on the drink menu to make a custom drink) and they didn’t disappoint. Amazing oyster list/choices!
Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We look forward to serving you again soon.
Go for the ambiance, wine and sevice but the food isn't my cop of tea but still left happy
Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding as always. The food was not great—curried mussels had little curry flavor and the clam pasta dish was tough. The heirloom tomato salad and the scallops were delicious.
Outstanding flavors. Fantastic service. Looking forward to our next visit. Only suggestion you eliminate the garlic bread.
Thank you for the lovely feedback. We look forward to serving you again soon!
Service was excellent! Tyler is amazing!!! Ths food is fresh and drinks are delish!!!
I love dining at Fin and Fino. The food is delicious and creative. The wait staff is superb. I'm happy to see seasonal changes to the menu that keeps the experience fresh and ensures we will be back
I have always found service to be great. The food selection good with items for most eaters. Down side it is way to noisy.
We had a great dinner! Our server was amazing, the food was fantastic, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Highly recommended and we will be coming back soon!
My fiancé and I had a wonderful dining experience here! A very pleasant surprise. Great food and service, would recommend for a nice night out on the town or a romantic evening.
Great service for a meal for two at the bar. Our bartender guided us through cocktails, oysters and shareable plates based on our likes. Will recommend to anyone coming to Charlotte as a must visit. Oysters and clam tagliatelle were the stars of the show. Well done!
Fantastic food and service! Got a variety of small plates and each was outstanding. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
Booked a table for our anniversary. We tend to be adventurous, so we chose the Treatment option and let the chef make the dish choices for us. We were rewarded for our trust. All the plates we were served we enjoyed, especially the bahn mi grilled shrimp. The pacing of the courses was perfect. We left very full and very satisfied with our decision. We look forward to visiting again.
Beautiful dining atmosphere that was very sophisticated in style by a very relaxed vibe. The food was phenomenal; excellent quality, fresh and delicious. We we’re celebrating a special occasion with a large party. We had numerous items from the menu and every one was outstanding. This was a true experience, not just dinner. Absolutely the best upscale seafood in Charlotte.
Fin & Fino was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend “the treatment.” Already making plans to return.
I have eaten at Fin & Fino for four or five business lunches now and they have delivered each time. The food and service are great. It can sometimes be a little loud at lunch, but nothing that would stop normal conversation at the table. Overall, a solid pick for a business lunch.
I brought a client in for dinner on a Monday night hoping it would be quite busy to show her that Charlotte is happening every day of the week! I was pleasantly surprised that it was and from the moment we sat down until the minute we walked out, we had such an amazing experience. The server was first class and I wish I could remember his name but he had just had a haircut losing a lot of length, which looked great by the way. He recognized my client and by just asking a few questions brought out drinks and appetizers he knew we would enjoy. Food was excellent and the service exceeded our expectations.
Wonderful experience, now my new favorite restaurant in Charlotte! and my client's.....
I was really surprised by the freshness and quality of the seafood here. Some of the sweetest, most decadent scallops we've ever had and incredible oysters from around the country as well. Bartender made us some awesome custom drinks (ask for the call of the clam and they'll tailor a drink to your liking). Glad I went, would go back again. It was a bit noisy due to some festivities going on downtown that night, but it's a fun place that is less stuffy than some other fancy spots you may visit uptown.
Food was underwhelming! Scallops were small and tough. Reminded me of Red Lobster at twice the price. Southern tomatoes toast had burnt bread with overripe flavorless tomatoes and barely a hint of Ricotta cheese. The octopus was like shoe leather. The best dish was the Mahi Mahi. It just was not enough to make up for the other dishes. One big positive is that the oysters from the raw bar were fantastic. Would probably only get those if I ever came back.
What’s not to love about oysters? They have 15 or so to choose from at $3.00 each. Very fresh and tasty, although a Lilttle on the small side. Only complaint is that there none from North Carolina or the Gulf of Mexico. We are partial to plump, sweet and large oysters from the gulf. Service was very good and it was a little on the noisy side.
We did the “treatment” menu where your server picks out the dishes based on your preferences. Caitlin did a phenomenal job pairing our tastes with dishes. It was a great value and allowed us to sample many different plates. We opted for this since we couldn’t decide which dishes to order. The cocktails and wine were superb too. We will definitely return and order “the treatment “ again. Thank you Caitlin and staff for making our evening unforgettable!
Seafood tapas done right! Unusual preparations that add flavors to the seafood.
Good, moderate priced wine list with many unusual choices.
Enjoyable evening before the show at Knight Theater.
Food was very good but ran into two problems. The first was that our dinner dishes were not cleared in a timely manner. The second and most upsetting was that the surprise dessert tray I ordered was never delivered (it was to contain 7 or 8 variety desserts - an option suggested to me over the phone which I happily and clearly accepted). In addition to the phone order, I spoke to two hostesses about it when I arrived at the restaurant and then whispered to the waitress about getting the dessert tray when she tried to take our dessert order. When it never arrived, I finally gave up and let my party order dessert as I did not want to make a scene. The final result was that our dessert was served one HOUR after our dinner was served but no one seemed to notice the delay, except me and my guests. I then had to race to get home on time. Overall, it was a very stressful experience. The morale of this story is don’t try to order a dessert tray.
Wonderful seafood themed, small-plates format. Great location for theater and sports venues.
The service and waitress was great. Pretty warm inside, felt like AC may not have been working. Limited Prosecco/sparking wine options to a special menu with 3 $100 bottles. Food was good but not as good as I remember in December, (e.g., Pasta was too al dente for my preference). I very much appreciated and enjoyed the off the menu basket of bread.
I did not like this restaurant, extremely noisy, Tapa's style portions but at full portion price.
The quality was only average. The restaurant does have a wide choice of oysters but $3 per is expensive. I would not return.
Everything was great! Loved the raw bar with ousters.. we will go back for sure!
Terrific service and delicious food. Eclectic menu at a great value. Very attentive wait staff.
The highlights of our visit were the Cocktails and service, which was an example of perfection. The food was very fresh. There was only one dish at our table of eight that was not loved.
The food was good but the service was excellent! Frannie made our evening by giving us service we all crave when we dine out.
The food was awesome especially the Lion fish!
Tried this location for its proximity to Knight Theater. Nicely decorated but dark. When we got there, a group was having happy hour and it was so loud we had to shout into the hostess's ear. After they left, it was still loud so a lot has to do with acoustics. Dishes were tapas. Prices are misleading on OpenTable since one has to order more than 2 plates for 2 people, so it should be more in line of $$$ not $$. Two of the dishes were flavorful and the other two were forgetful.
The Bar area was sooo noisy that the rest of the restaurant was too noisy
Food was great, service was great, very high noise level.
I loved F&F the first time I dined there. This second time, not so much. Food was great, service was good but the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed by the pre-theater dinner crowd. I waited an hour for two scallops (for $16, no less). I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but an hour wait for two bites? My beet and goat cheese salad was tons of lettuce and three quarter-slices of a beet. About two carrot slices and some very hard croutons. The goat cheese was good, but still. The tomato toast was great. The waitress was doing her best to see that our food got to us, but to no avail. Things are slipping a bit at F&F. I'll go to other restaurants for a while.
Our waiter, "Earl", made our experience so much fun! Chef Scott also came over and talked with us. We really enjoyed both the food and the experience and we will be back!
Great atmosphere and some really good dishes. The flavors are great at Fin & Fino. We also like the wine selection.
The food was delicious, the Treatment was a little too pricey, in my opinion, for what was offered (we were 2 people, asked if we could share it, were told yes but then were billed for two treatments). Probably a misunderstanding, still it gave us the opportunity to taste delicious plates that we might not have tried otherwise, so I would definitely go back and order them again from the à la carte menu. Good service.
The food was mostly great, though the server and/or the kitchen seemed to be overwhelmed. The server disappeared for long periods of time, but would make up for it by bringing over multiple free plates, courtesy of the chef. The server also suggested we each order 2-3 dishes, and it ended up being way too much food. Not to mention the food came out at weirdly staggered times. All that aside, the food was tasty and I plan to go back.
Get The Treatment!! For a nice night out, it’s best if you order for 4 or more. $60 a person (10% goes to charity) and they bring you a sample of a lot of their food. We counted it up and had 12 different dishes. Service was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Tip: bring your appetite.
