Was excited to try this spot for a date night, but the experience was underwhelming and we ended up leaving early. Several hostesses were up front, but we weren’t acknowledged until I asked for assistance. The only reservation available was outdoors, and I assumed there’d be misters or something to offset the summer heat and unfortunately there weren’t. If dining here in summer, definitely opt for indoor seating. The interior looked cool and vibey, but the outdoor area lacked that same energy and ambiance. Our server was friendly, but when we asked if the yellowtail was good, he said he personally preferred tuna and steered us in that direction instead of answering the question. We tried the tuna ceviche. It was okay. The smoky or some other flavor was overpowering, and some pieces were very chewy. We also ordered the short rib dumplings. The flavor was great, but the dough was gummy, like it was undercooked or reheated. We liked our cocktails, but it wasn’t enough to stay for dinner. We left and ate elsewhere. I really enjoy their other concepts, so I’m hopeful this one finds its groove. I’d be open to checking it out again down the line once things feel a bit more dialed in.

food was decent and the vibes were great, wish they had more gluten free options or educated the servers more on the substitutions for dietary restrictions it felt like all i could order was the steak because that was the only thing she knew was forsure gluten free! We put in a order for a standard espresso martini and she rang it in as a specialty drink which was really good but simply not what we had asked for! the drinks also took a while to come out we ordered a second round and it took about 20 minutes to hit the table.

This was our second time going. Our first experience was much better than this one. We had brought our friends after we raved about how delicious it was the first time but it failed to meet our expectations. My lamb chops were thin and overcooked. My red wine was hot. My friends salad had 1 piece of shrimp in it. The only good thing was the service. Will not return.

We enjoyed our experience at Filthy Animal! We had the milk bread and baked brie as appetizers and both were delicious, although the brie is a little bit of a struggle to eat. The bread they serve it with is large and not easy to slice and share. We recommend all of the entrees we tried, including the short rib, the filet, and the pork chop. The drinks were only okay - each one was just a little off. Most of the cocktails on their menu are a riff on a classic cocktail with one odd ingredient that seems to be there only because it's "edgy." Service was good and the restaurant is beautiful. But it is pretty loud, so not the best if you're looking for more intimate conversation.

Dined early evening before the crowds very enjoyable. After eating we moved to the bar, that is when it started getting more entertaining as the evening progressed, was good for people watching. I can only imagine what after 9pm would look like ;-) 👀
