   Beef tartare, tuna ceviche, Bomba rice, milk bread and elote were amazing The chicken, lobster, and short rib were mediocre BUT the mac n cheese under the lobster was fabulous. It was a really fun place with staff perfection and I realize they just opened so that was impressive! I think the menu has room for improvement and would be excited to try again if changes were made

   I was were there on Mothers Day, which was a buffet style service, so I was not able to experience the regular menu. Our server was Tyler, who was a very attentive and pleasant person. I will be back to try the main menu.

   A few weeks ago, I had a business lunch at Filthy Animal and loved the atmosphere, food preparation and quality and the service was outstanding. Today, my family and I returned for Mother’s Day brunch. I was thrilled with the amazing buffet and excellent service. I look forward to returning for dinner soon! It’s nice to have an upscale and high quality restaurant in Tempe!

   Great experience. From the food to the service it was exceptional. Once again pretty decent concepts does it again. Growing up in Tempe it’s pleasant to see the growth of the dining scene evolve and bring some cool concepts to life. Mea is a great manager and on top of everything. Great jobs guys.

   Filthy Animal advertises as a “fine dining” experience, but it is far from it. The portion sizes are very small and the flavors are underwhelming. The staff are all very young, inexperienced and poorly trained. Our shared appetizers were brought out without any plates to share the food. The busboy took our dishes and utensils, but they were not replaced. The plates that the food was served on were very small—not large enough to accommodate the food that was on it. They likely chose smaller plates to make the very tiny amount of food on the plate seem filling. However, it just made it very messy to eat. When attempting to eat from the plates the food was served on, the food spills out onto to the table. The waitress then made us clean the table ourselves. She wasn’t mean, and the table just had some spilled rice on it, but no one is going out for “fine dining” with the expectation that they will have to clean the table. The busboy should have brushed off the crumbs and rice when taking the plates. We ordered shrimp “skewers”. However, it was simply one shrimp on a toothpick—yes. It is clear that the owners are grasping at straws trying to make a buck with their fusion concept. I go to Wren and Wolf often, and love it. I expected the same level of professionalism and service at Filthy Animal because they are owned by the same people. Filthy Animal screams midlife crisis. The concept is nice—but it is poorly executed. The manager also looks inexperienced. He was a younger gentleman with an ill fitting suit who looked overwhelmed and just stressfully walked around the restaurant all night, never stopping to actually speak to anyone. They also do not have a dessert menu. The waitress did not know the name of the desserts, and very poorly described the desserts based on what she thought it may be. We were also charge for food that we ordered, but never received and it was not taken off of the bill. This place is not worth the hype.

   Enjoyed everything about our experience. The food ambience everything about this restaurant was amazing. Celebrated my husband’s 59th birthday. They couldn’t have asked for more!

   For a new restaurant, they did a pretty decent job. We ordered the lamb chops and the KC strip. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very good. The only draw back was it had chimichurri as your steak sauce, which was fine, but they didn’t offer an alternative. They brought me something that they created , but it was not steak sauce and it tasted awful. However, overall it was still good with the  chimichurri. We also ordered the lamb chops.  These were the fattest chops that I’ve ever experienced. We told our server and she offered to bring something else, but my wife had lost her appetite by then. I did expect a manager to stop by the table, but that never happened. We ordered the Melted Brie and the Pineapple ceviche. They were both very good. I would definitely recommend them both. We also ordered the ice cream Birthday Cake, which was very good as well. The service was okay. Our server really wasn’t very attentive. She would disappear for too long. She only offered to refill my drink when we ordered dessert. It was empty for more than half the meal. Luckily we ordered a bottle of water. Overall, I’d give it a B. I will definitely be back, but hopefully things will be better and they will establish a protocol when customers complain about their meal. Hopefully they will make it. We need a good restaurant in Tempe.

   We went for my friend’s birthday and had a wonderful time! Our waiter was very informative and knowledgeable about the menu and pairings. There was so much to look at throughout the restaurant! I felt like the music was a little loud. It was hard to have a conversation. And it was a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The tomahawk was incredible, and came with a flame show! Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back to try more or the menu.
