Filipa 18 Food Wine Art - Indigo Krakow
Chef Marcin Sołtys has created a menu inspired by traditional polish cuisine in a modern style and regional products from the oldest market in Krakow - Stary Kleparz. Each dish is created on our open kitchen.
Culinary adventure in Filipa 18 Food Wine Art starts with bread baked by us according to traditional recipes, amuse bouche from our Chef, and ends with selected wines from around the world.
Filipa 18 Food Wine Art is a place where tradition mixes with modernity. The graphics of young krakow artists from the Polish School of Posters give the restaurant a cozy and unique character.
The food is very good, it is expensive though for what it is. Service is not good and the staff could easily work in a pub but not in a restaurant that serves Michelin level food with such a high price tag. Service is part of the product. Food really nice however the choice of food quite monotonous cabbage in every dish and starters quite particular. Impressive dessert. Staff should take the guest’s jackets away, take to the table and seat the guests and the give the Menüs, then introduce the recommended dishes, instead menus were given to us while we were busy undressing. No butter brought with bread basket instead a bottle of olive oil n no dish to pour it.2 members of staff attending the table with random parts of menu so definitely not a sommelier/starter/main. Empty tables and glasses not cleared instead new ones clattering the table. Service is 2* and food is 4*. Padre restaurant has unique service and great food that doesn’t break the bank try it after this
Es begann mit einem überraschenden Amuse , das vorzüglich war und endete mit einem enttäuschenden Hauptgang. Fader Geschmack, Pastasorte anders als angekündigt und komplett trocken und geschmacklos.
Service war super.
Filipa 18 serves creative dishes based on deep roots in traditional Polish cuisine, with an ambitious degree of refinement. Flavours are based on great fresh, local ingredients, but elevated by unexpected techniques and combinations to produce stimulating and hugely enjoyable experience. The sophistication of the cooking is enhanced by great service - attentive, informative and cheerful. A delight !
Very nice food. Great cocktails
This was the best meal I had in Krakow, and one of the best meals I've had in years. I've paid $400+ for worse meals in Boston, and this came out to less than $80 for two of us, each eating three courses and a drink. One word of advice for booking reservations -- they seem to have technical issues with booking online. Try to call if you can!
Great food, character and atmosphere of this place.
Very good modern spin on traditional Polish cuisine. Just off the beaten track unique and relaxing.
the waitress brought us the wrong food. We put our wine in the glasses be ourself.
Great food, nice atmosphere and very quiet as well. Every dish is a bit sophisticated and I like it. Price is very cheap, and the tasting menu is even cheaper. Thanks!
Outstanding food !
Food was amazing! Portions small but enjoyed every mouthful!
It is a very good place, although staff is as not professional as you would think.
Super Essen und leckere Cocktails ein Muss in Krakau
Excellent restaurant for a quiet and pleasant meal. The food was very tasty. Professional and attentive service. Lovely interior.
The restaurant was great! Never did I have this quality of food and so many courses for this amount of money. I had the wine pairing to accompany the 7 (9 with the amuse and the intermezzo), the amount of wine I got was perfect and the wine itself was paired very well. It was a ‘quiet’ evening wich can very quickly become awkward when you are one of the only tables, but the waitress was very spontaneous and we had a couple of conversations. I could even go and have a peek at the open kitchen where they plate the dishes wich was very interesting! The only thing that keeps them from being the first star restaurant in Krakow is the small things in the service department. There were a couple of things the waitress didn’t know how to say in english and we had to ask for the degustation menu ourselves. Altough, I think they were in a transition week were they were changing the menu, so if that’s the case then it’s only a hats off for still being able to offer us the entire menu. Chef Marcin Soltys came to check on us if everything was in order and he was very nice, wich is always a big plus! I won’t tell you about the specific dishes, book a table at Filipa 18 and go and find out yourself, it’s even worth going to Krakow only for this.
