Fi'lia at SLS Brickell – SBE
A meal begins with a crusty loaf, presented with olive oil and oregano snipped at the table. Rustic pizzas from the wood oven highlight beautiful produce in season in special combinations. Caesar salad is tossed tableside in a shower of shaved parmigiano from a roaming cart, with the smell of toasted garlic croutons reminding you of how satisfying and memorable the classics can be.
Cocktails are refreshingly uncomplicated and a focused wine list celebrates Italian regional varietals and American wines with an old world sensibility.

Service was slow, food took forever and when it came out, it was under cooked. The corn agnolotti was good though.
Very good food but indifferent service sitting outside
We had small plates and they were delicious, definitely get the grilled octopus it was tender and tasty. The meatballs soft and juicy. Try the Paloma cocktail I really enjoyed the tequila grapefruit mix. There was a hiccup with the service they lost our ticket but the manager took care of our meal completely that’s was so generous and unexpected. We will definitely go back. Lewis our waiter was lovely. All in all a really nice night.
Amazing ! Would come again
Restaurant was well appointed, and staff was exceptionally helpful. We went early - right after work - which meant the crowds were not big, but the noise level outside was very high - drivers trying to get home, etc. Still, we could hear one another well and had a lovely meal outside. Initially appeared that the menu was quite limited, but on study and further exploration, it turned out to be uniquely enjoyable - most of the standard heavy American dishes were missing (no Veal Parm with pasta or Chicken Picatta) but good number of truly Italian specialties were included (warm olives, and peppered pasta made in a parm wheel). Wait staff also helped with suggestions and combinations that let you construct a good, and very tasty meal.
Everything was perfect!
The SLS is a great place. Quick pointer: get there 45 minutes before your reservation and go gave a drink at the bar up the stairs. Dinner was wonderful (carpaccio, grilled octopus, corn agnolotti, yellowtail and crispy potatoes). All of them were great, too much food for just 2. Service was good also. Wine list could offer more choices (that’s my sole constructive criticism). Highly recommend!!!
Trendy type bistro in a hotel
Much hype about the food
Everything extremely salty
The vegetables very undercooked
Only the prawns and the meatballs were good
Have come to Fi’lia many times in the past for happy hour and tried it for dinner finally. We made a reservation far in advance which I didn’t think was needed but did just in case. We were seated next to two tables of about 50 people, so 100 business people on some sort of company retreat. We couldn’t hear each other, it was so loud it was extremely unpleasant. I asked multiple times to be moved to the back room but they said there was nothing available. We had to flag the servers down every time we needed anything, as they were totally preoccupied with the large group. It was so disappointing as I was really looking forward to dining here, we will not be coming back.
Such a great dinner please! Amazing wine list - love the vibe and the food was delicious!
Much better for lunch than dinner.
The food was perfect but the service was non existent. We would have had better luck grabbing our own food, drinks and dishes. Hope they figure it out, the food really was outstanding
Very bad service
Really salty food
Food was bland very disappointed, service slow. We have been to the one at SLS Baha mar a couple of times and loved it. This one was not even close.
Unfortunately we will not be back. We Love Michaels Genuine restaurant and thought this would also be great. The most disappointing dish was the special of the night. A whole fish that came on a plate covered in salad greens, $80 for 2 people. We had to pick the fish off the bones and out of the huge amount of greens. Presentation horrible. I’ve ordered whole fish before and the server always presented it and served it. Also, parts of the fish were over cooked. We were going to order dessert but the waiter didn’t return to take our order so we skipped it after all. Finally got him to take our money. There were 3 of us. The other person got a pasta dish that was rather small. We ordered 2 veggie sides and 2 appetizers and a bottle of $50 wine also. Total bill 245.
The service was lackluster. Not a pleasant dining experience.
Service is overworked, too many tables to handle; items ordered never cooked; errors in items processed
as every michael schwartz restaurant, this one is great, amazing staff and food
Even the salad was not that great. The Cesar salad they make at your table had a lot of mustard in it to the point that even I that like mustard could not enjoy it! I didn't like the food in general. It didn't worth the price! Do not recommend it! The service was good though.
Nice Italian restaurant with modern touch. The Ceasar salad is outstanding and made in front of you. My favorite is the chicken parmigiana. Always enjoy Filia.
Considering this was a NYE's dinner, the service was good. However the chicken parm was completely over salted. It's also overpriced. My wife's corn agnolotti was tasty. Overall this place was a let down in comparison to how good the food is at Michael's Genuine in the Design District.
Eat the friggin short rib and the caprese. paosjndvakjndwfgpoajknsdpfgoij
Service is so much weaker than at MGFD.
Portions were very small, so menu is overpriced. Wine by the glass selection lacking.
Food is very good ( except a bit too salty in sauces). Problem is the service; not because of the servers!!! There just are not enough servers on the floor to handle both indoor and outdoor during peak times. Hire more qualified servers!!!
Wonderful in every aspect. Would definitely recommend and will come again!
I went for my birthday lunch, the menu was very limited. The restaurant was nice and more casual than expected, however, the waitress was very nice. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. Although I had heard that they where known for the Caesar Salad presentation but waitress didn't mention it so I didn't get it. Also, I ordered a specific sparkling wine that was on the menu and they weren't accommodating in finding a similar wine being that they didn't have it. I would give it another chance but for dinner. Food wise ordered the octopus appetizer and it was very tasty, tender and not tough.
Salieron dos pelos en el carpaccio, la pasta salada y demasiado dura.
Light courses were good. The rest nothing special. Disappointing for a Michael Schwartz restaurant.
Dine outside to the music of fire engines and police cars. Fine if noise doesn’t bother you. Inside oddly designed, with front and back spaces separated by an open kitchen. However, any flaws were compensated for by the best chicken Parm in the world. Seriously, it was grand. And so was the Caesar salad prepared table side.
The food was impeccable as always, particularly the tableside Caesar. Our server, however, was not up to Fi’lia’s standards. I’ve never had bad service at this restaurant, one of my go-to neighborhood spots, until this visit. We had to refill our own wine every time, he never asked us how we were enjoying either course, we had to ask multiple times for water, a manager had to tell someone to bring us bread and oil, and based on his general attitude and unpleasant nature, it was clear the server did not want to be working. The team making the Caesar, the hostesses, and the manager seemed pleasant. It’s a shame the server ruined the experience.
The food at Fi'lia is excellent. Service, however, is spotty, glacially slow, and amateurish. This shortfall is especially distressing because other Michael Schwartz restaurants are top-notch in both food and service. I will not return. For reference, my dinner was an early one on 12/20/18.
Nice. Good food
Tableside Caesar salad great. Chicken Parmigiana nice and crispy, but sauce is too salty. Cauliflower excellent.
Overall the dining experience was good, with excellent service by our waitress, Vanessa. While the ordered fish dish was served with too much salt, the waitress and kitchen readily accepted our rejection and promptly prepared a replacement dish. The noise level in the outside seating area is a bit load, but we still enjoyed our dinner there.
I never write reviews, I'm in the industry and I know how a review can affect a restaurant.
this place is not bad, food was good, but a terrible service can turned your night in a nightmare
The place was almost empty so there was no excuse to have the service that me and family had.
We were seated right away, but then we waited over 20 min for the server to come and offer water or to take the drinks order. Drinks over price for the size.
almost 30 min for appetizers plus another 30min for a 2 pasta dishes.
After we finished the server never came back, I took all dirty plates and put them on the side of the table.
30 min waiting my family left the restaurant, I sat waiting for the check I asked one of the runners for a manager, but he or she never appeared.
finally after waiting over 45 min for the check the server came and said SORRY.
First time in my life that I left ZERO tip for a meal.
I would not recommend this place, if you are looking for another Michael Schwartz restaurant I would go to AMARA at Paraiso or Michael Genuine.
Group of four for dinner on a weeknight. Ordered the Chickpea Fritters (falafel ) and the Meatballs (decent but have had better). Main was Pasta Bolognese ( over salted and dried out). We also shared a Margarita Pizza, which was the highlight of the meal. Extremely thin and tasty, cooked perfectly. Desert was delicious. The staff was very attentive and professional.
So, if you are looking for a great pizza, this is a good place, with nice casual ambiance. However, if you want a great pasta/Italian meal, I could not recommend Filia.
Excellent friendly service. Casual restaurant. Nice option.
