FIG & OLIVE Westchester Ratings and Reviews
After my first enjoyable evening here with a friend, I returned the following week with my family. The Mediterranean menu is very creative with healthy and unique items. All dishes were presented beautifully and the food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the crostini appetizers, the steak, the branzino and the apple tart dessert. Service was excellent. The ambiance is pleasant, a little on the loud side but not enough of a problem to prevent conversation. On both of my visits we were not rushed, made to feel very comfortable and relaxed.
I used a groupon $65 for two dinners, two cocktails - a shared appetizer and a shared dessert. Ended up spending $150 at the restaurant for a series of upcharges to the groupon ($+3 for a cosmo, for a specific entree (no forewarning of this..) then a second round was $32, etc., etc., ) would have been much better off with the prixe fixe menu. Seemed like a very expensive dinner for Westchester.
Also, hard to get the waiter's attention, though a waitress did a good job backing him up.
Food was good.
Had been to this location previously with a groupon deal and really enjoyed. However, paying full price, I have to say that the food was average, and the price high for the quality. I would go back again with a discount, but not full price. Service was very good.
Went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Started with cocktails and appetizers ,which were delicious! The main dishes were equally delicious. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. We all said we would definitely come back!! Very happy we choose this restaurant 😊
Excellent service, and wine bottles were 50% off - maybe that's a Monday thing ... My friend and I shared some crostinis - the caramelized onion one was the best. I had the branzino, and it was delicious. Hadn't been to Fig & Olive in a while and glad I went back.
We had a very nice Saturday night out, from waitress recommended drinks, to creative menu (it was restaurant week) to interesting desserts, it was really very pleasant all around and we will be back. Service was well times and both the Bronzini and the skirt steak were great !
I️ visited Fig & Olive Scarsdale last Friday .. I️ told our waiter about having Celiac Disease and he ensured that the risotto was gluten free and he would alert the kitchen of my gluten allergy. It was delicious, but I️ immediately had stomach pain and was doubled over in pain. Luckily we live close by because I️ got violently ill and had hives all over. Clearly there was some sort of cross contamination because I️ am normally able to eat risotto without a problem. Such a disappointing experience. My boyfriend enjoyed his croquettes as a starter, pasta with shrimp and the pumpkin dessert offered during restaurant week.
Great live singer, but volume a little bit high for the venue. However even when the singer was not singing the place is pretty noisy (hard floors, hard ceilings... lots of echos).
I assume the waiter was relatively new, very long time to be served, not great at attending to the table.
Food very good.
Overall a positive experience (giving the waiter the benefit of the doubt), however not up to par with the Lexington Av. location.
Past experiences were better . Had to ask for the bread , which was just dropped off with no explanation of which oil is from where. It was the same for every table in our section.
My steak was dry and not very hot , like it had been sitting out. Table next to us had two very good looking steaks. Not sure what happened to mine . Will come back once more , but very disappointed
This restaurant located in a shopping center was a very pleasant surprise. We ate there late on a weeknight so the place was pretty empty but still lively for that time of night, especially outdoors on an unseasonably warm night. My only concern is that the noise level must get pretty loud when this very large restaurant is full. The modern decor does not have anything that would absorb sound. We ate indoors where it was much too cold and although we mentioned it to our server she said she wasn't cold and nothing was done about it although there were few indoor patrons. Those were the only negative points and were minor compared to how good the food was. We shared a mushroom risotto as an appetizer and it was incredibly good. We loved it but both thought the portion was on the skimpy side and certainly wouldn't have satisfied either one of us if it were our main course. We were worried that our main course portions might be small, but again were pleasantly surprised. The portions were more than ample and the food delicious. My husband loved his lamb chops and I really enjoyed an unusual rendition of branzino, served with an amazing balsamic glaze and the restaurant's famous figs. I had to take a third of my dinner home to enjoy for lunch the next day. We will definitely return!
