Excellent option for high quality food in a comfortable setting. Prix Fixe option offers great value with some excellent choices including "Pot de Creme" as a dessert. Absolutely will return again soon for dinner.
First time here and it was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the food, the only thing was the music. It was too loud, so they turned it down, then someone turned it up. This happened a few times.
There were four of us for brunch and we were all very pleased with our meals. The avocado toast was excellent and the friend who ordered the shrimp and salmon salad pronounced the salmon to be cooked to perfection, better than he's had at any of the many expensive fine dining restaurants he's been to. The restaurant was also quiet, with some pleasant music but nothing that interfered with our conversation. We also appreciated the many interesting drinks available, both alcoholic and, especially, nonalcoholic.
There are no vegan options here and, even if I called in advance to ask if the cook would be able to put something simple together for me or just make the pasta dish they have with olive oil instead of butter, I was told that they wouldn't even check with the chef as they simply don't do that. I wouldn't go back and would certainly not recommend this place.
I found the food mediocre and the noise level became unbearable.
Nice restaurant near Bloomingdales. They have amazing olive oils! Meal and Service were very good.
Unbelievably arrogant weekday lunch hostess. She can take a lesson from the Meatpacking location on service and graciousness. Location was far too crowded and far too noisy. Food was good but not worth putting up with all the nonsense. I won’t be back.
I have eaten in all three of the Fig & Olives in Manhattan on several occasions. The food has been good, often delicious, and the service good too. This last meal I had was neither delicious or accompanied with good service. We were a party of 4 and had an early reservation at 5 pm as we had theater tickets nearby. The restaurant was empty at 5 pm. We ordered appetizers and main courses, with one of our party ordering the prix fixe so he also ordered dessert. We had to make a request to order wine. Our appetizers came pretty quickly. And then we got to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait some more. Our server said the main courses were coming right away but they did not. The manager said they were coming right away but they did not. And then the manager told us the kitchen was backed up. We found that difficult to believe considering that at the time we ordered, the restaurant was nearly empty. We finally got our main courses at 6:15 - about an hour after we ordered them. And what arrived was dried out chicken and partially uncooked salmon after being ordered medium. The server did reduce charges for several of the main courses. All the same, it was a disaster of a meal. And it was a disaster in public relations. I will limit my visits to Fig & Olive to the two other locations.
We had a beautiful Birthday lunch for our daughter at Fig and Olive. The= service was outstanding and the food as well, especially the crostin!
As usual, the food was delicious. My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Fig and Olive. Looking forward to dining there again soon.
We got a late reservation and the service was still excellent. Our waiter and [I think] restaurant floor manager were very kind and accommodating. My friends and I enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend the restaurant to a friend visiting or in the Uptown area
I was meeting a friend for an early lunch and couldn't have picked a nice place. The food and service was exceptional. They also did not rush us. We appreciated this and could have a leisurely lunch on a Tuesday. Service was very good, and the waiter was knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend.
Since I have used OpenTable this has been the worst dining experience I have had. The first two employees we met upon entering had no idea what we were saying in regards to our reservation or our guests that we were meeting. They sat us right next to the kitchen which was the last table in the restaurant although we were one of the earliest diners there. My chair was broken. It took 15 minutes and then i had to ask a busboy to get me a waitress to order drinks. I don’t have to ask the waitress after drinks arrived if we could have some bread. Considering that I have been to fig and Olive’s all over I am accustomed to them delivering one bread and choices of olive oil and balsamic vinegar with explanations as to which ones are which. The bread was cold there was no explanation. The bruschetta that we ordered I could swear it was on Ryebread and without any crunch. The short ribs came out dry bye-bye and what the bass was served over one could not tell because it was burnt. Absolutely the worst.
Good food, creative menu, served in a quiet and conversation friendly environment. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Will definitely return.
They honored my request for a high top table near the window and service was efficient and we weren’t rushed. Food excellent and nice wine served
Everything was perfect. We had a lovely, delicious time. Thanks!
Perfect spot to meet someone for lunch or dinner. Food is reliably good.Atmosphere is friendly, attractive and service good. Five stare because it does an excellent job for type of place.
Friendly welcome, excellent service and food choices that were all tasting very good indeed.
The atmosphere was brilliant for me and my partner for our date night. She enjoyed herself and so did I.
The food was excellent and the service was spot on.
Good food and wait-staff. The only problem was some over eager busters who took plates away too soon -0 while we were still eating. We complained and they brought back the plates.
Fig & Olive came highly recommended but we were disappointed. The menu noted an olive oil tasting before the meal -- but it was not offered. My roasted cauliflower appetizer and our group's main courses (Lamb Chops, Mediterranean Tasting, Lemon Chicken and Costini) were ok but nothing special. Maybe we caught an off night.
The service was horrific and slow. I brought it to the waiter’s attention twice but it didn’t change anything. I wouldn’t go back.
Loved the food, great service and super comfortable for talking!
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere !!!
Really enjoyed our late lunch here. The restaurant is narrow so can sometimes be a tight squeeze between tables, but it provides for a cozy atmosphere with natural light. I loved the FIG + OLIVE salad + Salmon. Decent size salmon addition. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay with our meal which was delightful. Boyfriend had the avocado toast - it's a delicious piece of art. Last, we had the apple tart -- MUST TRY!
Came here for a quiet Sunday brunch. refreshing that you can actually sit and hear each other speak! Poached eggs with prosciutto and sald was perfectly prepared. Coffee is good. Prices are fair for the neighborhood. Definitely a spot to keep in mind for another time I'm around the area.
Good experience, unfortunately there is no cost check
Such wonderful food. Delicate hunks of bread served with three different oils for dipping. A triad of choices for entrees. Good choices for wine. What more could anyone want?
Lovely food and great service.
Very kind server and delicious food
Always good. Great menu with something for everyone. Convenient location.
I requested a more private/quiet table in the reservation notes and watched the host not even check my reservation or notes when I arrived. Although the waitress was very nice, I rarely saw her. I was a bit upset because I was finishing my meal and my date still didn't receive their steak.. turns out they didn't start cooking it yet. We ended up taking 80% of the steak and the dessert to go.
I would like to try the other locations, hopefully the service will be better for the price. I did like the open concept of this location and was very upset with the table we ended up getting. I did appreciate everyone was very nice and kept refilling our waters.
We had eaten at the uptown Fig & Olive many times in the past. We decided to go there for Valentine’s Day this year. A disaster !! Slow service, limited menu !!
The restaurant clearly has had its best time. It needs some passionate management. The food was OK. Nice wine list.
Restaurant was small but charming, clean, service was fabulous and friendly and the food was delicious
! i would highly recommend
The strong scent of truffle oil that permeates the small restaurant is wonderful. My table was not ready so I had to wait at the bar which is inconveniently situated I a tight space where waiters are coming by with dishes and patrons are walking to and from their tables. No one offered to check my cost so I felt like an elephant 🐘 n a china shop until my table was ready. The tables are tight and the place is noisy. The food is wonderful but, guys, you need a larger space. I will try one of your other locations. Maybe the layout is roomier.
A bowl of soup, 3 crostini, one dish of autumn veg and a glass of Pinot all in contemporary portions was enough to more than satisfy. Each bite was a marvel, each plate beautifully done, our waiter was just the right blend of professional and warm. The room was small but each diner knew they were there for a something special. Fig & Olive is a must do agai!
Rude wait staff, especially our waitress. And none of us LOVED our food...will not go back there again.
The food was super good! We came for restaurant week and got the prefix brunch menu. The Mushroom croquettes were so delicious, I almost ordered more. We tried the crostini’s and the salmon was my favorite. The Paella was super tasty and filling, I would come back in a heartbeat.
One of those menus that is much better on paper than what comes out. For the price, it’s sub par for NYC
