Service and food was amazing... Thanks

Good to keep social distancing , both sides table were vacant.
But the our table was not stable.

Really good service. The food was excellent and the presentation was as well. This is my fourth time at this restaurant after being terribly disappointed with my experience at the Fig and Olive in Beverly Hills. I am so glad that I gave the operation in Fashion Island, Newport Beach, a second chance. The only negative is that their win by the glass is very pricey, more so than even the Union League in Philadelphia where I have been a member for over a quarter century. That is the only poor value at Fig and Olive.

I am so happy I dined at the Fig & Olive. My friends and I attended for O.C. Restaurant Week and it was our first time there. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. I loved the carrot and ginger soup, and the Chicken Tajine reminded me of a delicious dish I once had in France. The entire experience was very nice.

The location and decor is beautiful. We had an amazingly satisfying lunch, the flavor of the food were all fresh & so tasty.

Overall food was good, not outstanding but good. Service on the other side was really disappointing.
The server was very diligent in explaining all the dishes and she was very friendly to each of us (we were a group of 8), however, the waiting time was beyond any reasonable expectation. We all ordered 3 courses that were all served within a 3 hour span!!! Basically, an average of one dish per hour! My fil ordered mushroom risotto with chicken and they forgot the chicken. It was brought to him so late that the risotto was cold by then...
I’m thinking the restaurant was short staffed that night, as I can’t imagine service to be so bad on a regular basis.
I would go back again in a smaller group, just to confirm... as I do like their menu and ambience.

It was our first time. It was a wonderful experience. The ambient is just perfect, not to quite yet not loud enough to hear each other’s voices over the table. Defina recommended place! Will be back as well!

Just walking in was a delight. The ambiance was perfect! The service impeccable! The food was delicious! I had the Salad Nicoise. The best salad ever!!!!

Food was amazing, jazz band was awesome, beautiful restaurant and great staff. I totally recommend this place for any occasions. I went for a bridal party. I give this place 5 stars .

Expected more... Food was subpar, I tried a few of the plates in the table and not much to recommend.

We ordered medium rare steak more on the rare side. The waitress brought us a medium and kept fighting about it. She said it’s organic fed beef. There is no such thing as organic or regular fed and come out as a different temperature cook. We have been to lots of steak houses and been to this restaurant before but really disappointed about this time.

Great food and atmosphere, love the truffle risotto! Very nice bartenders.

I love this place! If you've been to the Fig and Olive in NYC, this is much the same menu, but the space is all California vibe. Light and airy and so much bigger. The food is delicious and the wine selection is pretty great. Definitely one of my go to places in NY, Chicago and now Newport Beach!

Ordered salads and burgers. One guest was vegan so the made her a vegan burger of vegetables. Easy to work with at this restaurant. Something there for everyone.

We arrived at 3 PM on a Sunday and were surprised that they were still offering the brunch menu. We ordered off of it and everything was delicious. We had a variety of crostini and I have to say they were the best ones I have tasted. Absolutely wonderful and so fresh. The rest of the meal and drinks were equally delectable ending with the small bites dessert assortment that were out if this world. I would definitely recommend Fig and Olive for a special occasion or just for a treat for anybody.

Honestly the ambiance is great . It’s beautiful place but if someone says food is good there, they haven’t had even average food in their life. We were the party of 8. All of us agreed food was below average. All the food was creation of an average cook., not an experienced chef as you expect from a restaurant in NewPort , Very basic, extremely average taste . Food was quality of a 3 star restaurant. I guess if you just want go for a drink or a fancy place it’s a good place but food was really disappointing.

It was Valentine’s Day and it was crowded, loud, and chaotic.

Food was amazing and the setting was perfect on Valentine's Day, with a live jazz band performing while we ate by the fireplace. Service was awesome as well!

This place is severely overrated. The food preparation was terribly overcooked on every course, and the waitress had no idea how to handle the complaint. Additionally, the waitress would just wander off in the middle of talking to us and we'd be left confused about the whole process. In the end, this place has a lot of hype because of the location and OC celebrity status, but the food is average, the menu tries too hard to impress and overall we left very disappointed with no intent to ever return, and we'll certainly never recommend it to anyone else.

Pris Fixe Valentine's menu was disappointing on all fronts. Pre made appetizers served room temperature. Main courses of fish and veal had no flavor. Will not go back. Dessert was a pair of morsels.

We thought going early was unfortunate, but we loved it because we had spacious seating, quiet ambiance and attentive staff. When reserving I had not been told of price fixe; that was okay, but the portions for the 1st course were tiny. The main courses of filet and osso bucco were superb. The dessert samplings were only a tease. Overall, well done by all.

Server was amazing and the food was very well prepared.

The food was great !

We made reservations for 10:45 and arrived to find a locked restaurant at 10:30. Diners were still dining and we knocked at the door only to be told they had closed early to prep for Valentines Day which was the following day. We were given a card for two drinks or an appetizer but it is unlikely we will ever return.

It was a nice place to celebrate a birthday...

Restaurant was quiet on a Sunday afternoon for a late brunch. Since we had a late breakfast/brunch already our menu choice was limited so we shared the octopus carpaccio, then both had the lobster salad and finished sharing chocolate dessert which was the best of the 3 courses. The service was good and we would probably go back to try dinner some time.

7 of us had an amazing dinner over the weekend. The food Was so delicious and we had a great waiter very attentive. Only complaint was the noise level. We found it hard to have a conversation with anyone that was not right next to you.

Great food, great table outdoor with good coverage. Service was amazing. The friends we invited had not been at Fig and Olive in over 2 years and they loved it, they will returned!

Terrible service. The restaurant was more or less empty, with only three or four other diners. We had to call for our server several times, including once for water. Not quite the level one would expect here. Very disappointing.

Great experience. Jackie the host was so nice and our waiter was so sweet to our three year old!! Great dinner!!
