Everything was amazing... first time here... not a single bad moment... we will return regularly... bravo...!!!
The most amazing food I have eaten. An experience that would make Gordon Ramsey proud. I tip my hat to the chef. Wait staff was incredibly courteous and helpful. I can’t wait to come back.
I'm glad to see that the service has gotten better. This has been a problem since the start. It's such a beautiful restaurant. I would hate to see it not do well.
My friend had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the F&O Burger. Both were great. I would highly recommend this place.
Music was too loud which made hearing conversations difficult.
Come to this restaurant several time a year as the food and drinks are always excellent.Great atmosphere and feel. My disappointment is that the level of service has dropped. While initially greeted at the table by a manager who was great, the level of service after that was below par/expectations - 15+ minutes to get ordered drinks, lack of check-in by waiter, always having to waive him down to order something more or ask a question, lack of clearing table of used items (multiple drink glasses per person). Really like this restaurant and hope the service picks up again.
Excellent restaurant...you must go to this beautiful spot for a special meal!
Wonderful. In the beautiful WHITE ROOM
I love Fig and Olive! I have my assistant book me there for dinner and meetings. I have a serious food allergy and they are great at accommodating it. Always great service, friendly staff, exceptional food! The ambiance and atmosphere is perfect whether in the bar area or the outdoor patio with the fireplace. Thank you for being a step above the rest.
At first, we were seated in the Garden Room. It was cold and drafty, even with the heaters on and fireplace burning. We were cold, even with our coats on. Upon our request, they moved us to an indoor dining room, which was much more comfortable. After that, our experience was wonderful. The waiter took excellent care of us, and the food and wine were magnificent.
Fantastic all around.
Loved the Restaurant & the drinks & Food was amazing
Wish the food tasted better! The atmosphere was great
Waiter was too controlling over what he wanted to sell
Appetizers were very small
Interior was beautiful
Poor quality service and food was small and not warm. Definitely not worth the price. I don’t recommend it.
Food was good but overpriced. We were put in a quieter section although the pipes-in music is quite annoying.
Service was good with the exception of the busboy spilling ice water all over my husband. We should have received a discount off the meal but it went unacknowledged.
I took my sister there for dinner to celebrate my 60 th birthday.. it’s my favorite restaurant in Newport Beach
The service was very polite and helpful. The food and presentation were excellent. And the interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Will definitely go again when visiting.
Dinner with my daughter. The food and service was top notch. We will definitely be back.
Celebrated my husbands birthday with a party of 21 friends and family. We were put in a beautiful private room and the service was excellent!! Seabass was phenomenal!! Mushroom croquettes are a must have!!
Great place to celebrate a birthday. Shared the branzino for two which was a delicious and unique experience!
Wonder food. Fantastic service. Great ambience.
Very good !
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious. The perfect setting for brunch or a ladies lunch. The gorgeous fireplace in the middle of the atrium was so lovely and the jazz band set such a classic tone for an a perfect Sunday afternoon.
Excellent! We actually had reservations for a different close by restaurant that was so loud we would have to yell across the table to talk to each other. We left & went to Fig & Olive. What a difference!! Very relaxing, excellent service & calming ambience. The chateabriand steak for two was prepared perfectly. We had the spinach and mushrooms which were also excellent.
Very intimate and romantic ambiance with all the dimmed lighting at dinner. Good date spot. Went here for a birthday celebration. Food portions way too small for the price charged though. Fair warning. It was a full house when we went on Saturday. Service was slow.
I really like the décor of the restaurant and everything we ate were excellent! Food was really good. However, the service didn't meet up to our expectation. We ordered a bottle of wine but didn't show up until we finished our appetizer. We look for our waitress but nowhere to be found. so, we had our appetizer with just a glass of water. We wanted to enjoy our cheese plates with wine.. but oh, well. After the entrée was served, nobody came to check on us. When they cleared our plates, then finally showed up to ask for dessert. I expected better service from this restaurant.
Everyone in our party of five enjoyed their dinner. The crostinis were a tasty beginning of our meal. The salad was large enough to share with everyone. The service was excellent. The meal was pricey, but was well worth it for a special occasion.
This restaurant is simply the best for everything. The ambiance is exquisite, classy and fairly quiet for a busy place.
Food is so amazing. The crostinis are little works of art. The pot de creme dessert is the best I’ve had in my life.
The bread and olive oil are delicious.
The servers are top notch.
Wouldn’t change a thing.
Normally, I love and rave about Fig and Olive. We were celebrating two birthdays, were treated poorly, received the wrong food, the people next to us came after us and were served before us and it was an uncomfortable luncheon. I usually go to the one on Melrose but this was not pleasant. Sloppy, uncaring and just not my usual experience with Fig and Olive.
Good service, good ambiance, food was very subpar and bland.
Service was great, table was fine, wasn't crowded at all, so noise level was fine. The food was fair at best with pasta that was overdone, crispy, but not hot. Risoto with chicken was just ok. Fig & Olive promotes itself as a premium restaurant, and we felt it was overpriced for the experience. Others must feel the same because this was a Friday night and the restaurant was no more than 20% occupied. We won't be going back for awhile.
Saw my friend post on social media that she was having lunch at Fig & Olive and it was date night for my husband and I like to try new places so I made a reservation. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and the food was amazing. We had one of the specials which involved a whole fish being deboned at the table and dressed. Everything tastes amazing. Price was as expected for such a place. We will be back.
A great place to dine, lunch or dinner , beautiful restaurant great ambiance great service ! All staff are so attentive to their clientele ! Great food ! Awesome crostini , paella , salmon and all appetizers , great wine collections , healthy food , fit for foodies !! Great music on Friday night ! A happy place to be.
Had a fun and tasty lunch at Fig and Olive Newport Beach with two friends. The patio room is a light and airy setting perfect for a lunch with friends. Servers were attentive yet let us chat. The mushroom truffle risotto was great with a nice variety of delicate mushrooms that don't over power. The Burrata with squash three ways was good...different. Have had better Burrata. We all have a Virgin Berry muddled cocktail and it was delicious and refreshing. The Pot De Creme dessert was delightful. Light and flavorful ..we all vote yes on it!!
The fig and olive never disappoints! The food and service are always exceptional!
Went to meet a friend for lunch, knew it would be mostly talking not so much eating and drinking. Our server was awesome about letting us gab, checking in only when necessary. The food is ok, nothing stellar, but not bad, either. I always choose True Food Kitchen nearby so thought this would be a nice departure. The couple with their fussy, crying toddler next to us was a little frustrating, but not the restaurant’s fault, just bad luck. (I’m a mother, I understand fussy toddlers, but this is definitely not the joint to take them to.) Overall, it’s a lovely patio setting for lunch but fairly overpriced for what you receive.
Eduardo took such good care of us !!! Service was IMPECCABLE!!
Will definitely return often. 😁
Very ordinary food and service - bar was out of some known liquors requested
