Great food , great service !
Excellent food and service and a stylish restaurant. 100% recommended
We ate in the bar area thinking we would have some happy hour appetizers and drinks and then go have dinner in their beautiful dining room. However, the intimate experience in the bar was so great, especially with the live music that we decided to have dinner in there as well. Do not missThe mushroom croquettes, the truffle risotto, they’re delicious paella and wonderfully prepared cocktails. Our server was a delight I just wish I remembered her name.
Our server Max was Amazing. We had so many dietary restrictions & nothing threw him. He was so accommodating & really made our dinner great.
amazing atmosphere food & service ! food always comes out hot & service is beyond excellent
Beautiful dining room and professional service but the food was only average.
Consistently good, nice atmosphere but LOUD!
Having been to F&O 6 or 7 times in the past we were very disappointed in the food. Our beef carpaccio arrived frozen to the plate, they took it back and 20-minutes later we received a new one that tasted stale. The risotto was bland and not cooked to the proper consistency. It’s too bad, this used to be one of my favorite spots. They need to make some Improvements to the kitchen. The staff as always was wonderful and attentive, perfect service.
it took an insane amount of time for us to get our food, all of which were cold so require very little kitchen time. The place was almost dead as well so no idea what the hold up was.
It was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences I have had. It took 20 min for someone to even come to the table another hour for water. They forgot a drink, they forgot a whole order , then brought the wrong one out, the manager was rude and asked us what we wanted them to do about them messing up or order literally the whole time . The woman next to us was even extremely angry about service . The food was gross . I will not be going back here ever
The prices are quite ridiculous, really. Not worth it.
Food was great, service was good but a little slow to begin with.
The time we entered the restaurant thru to our departure, we were treated as special. Service was superb as was the entire dinner from start to finish. Would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to others.
Great experience! We celebrated a bday and everything was delicious.
Food was excellent!!!
Service, on the other hand was @ 0 level.
Waitress was super busy and went MIA.
Had hard time tracking her down.
I am 100% convinced that she forgot about our order, as I asked her about it an hour after it was placed and she miraculously found it 20 minutes after that.....
Luckily, her manager stepped in brought deserts and champagne on the house as a courtesy for a bad service experience.
What a classy guy!!!
Terrific food and ambiance. Great for special occasions.
Ridiculously small glasses of wine and a very average tasting Manhattan and not cold.
But the food was amazing.
We will return.
Let the restaurant know we were there for our wedding anniversary but no special attention was given, in fact complete lack there-of by waiter, Nathan. We waited over 10 minutes for him to come over and attend to our needs.
The salmon I’ve gotten before was much better, also the salad was lacking and ingredients seemed light. Not sure if it was an off-day or F&O changed chefs recently, but all-in-all not a great experience at all.
Good food, but way too expensive. Service was also mediocre.
We went early, to celebrate a senior colleague's 98th birthday. It was perfect. Thanks so much. sk
Server was sparse and forgot some of our order. But the food was good and ambience was lovely
Enjoyed the evening from the moment we entered the restaurant. Food was awesome. Service is top notch. A bit expensive but i guess once in a while you deserve to give you a treat. Will definitely go back.
Great place for either anniversary or friend gathering. foods are tasty, casual but joyful environment. strongly recommend
Beautiful place and the food was OK, but very overpriced for what it was. For $24 I expect an amazing salad. This one was good but not nearly special enough for the price.
Service was attentive, and front desk very accommodating. Not a busy time, so hard to tell what the noise level normally is when full.
Watch the curb outside the valet, because it slopes. I fell right off into the street.. right on my head. Neither the restaurant personnel nor the valet made any effort to help, but there were other customers waiting at the valet who were very nice and helpful. So much for caring service outside, anyway.
bUT TO Noise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Food not good. Service poor
Good for all the above!
We went to Fig and Olive to celebrate my birthday. We were seated quickly and then met by a very surly waiter. He seemed like we were inconveniencing him by sitting at his table. When I asked what came on the plate with my egg dish he said, " what do you mean?" I asked if it had any sides or anything. I wanted to know because I am not eating bread or carbs and didn't want to waste food should the eggs be served with toast. He said " It comes on a plate by itself just as it is described in the menu. It's a simple dish." ok...well it was served with a salad and 4 pieces of toast!!!! When the same waiter came to fill the water glasses he spilled it all over the table and my mother. He said nothing. We were upset to see the tip had been added as we would not have given this very unpleasant waiter a penny. He really put a damper on a nice event. The food was fine, nothing to write home about. I did love the crostini app since I had the option to have it served on zucchini. Nice touch. not enough for me to go back.
The service is great. The food not so much. It’s more for the environment and vibes.
We were disappointed with our service. For the price, we expected to not have to wait for water refills or to have to track down our waiter. The food was good as always. Just a bit disappointed with service. Seems like our waiter was very busy with too many tables.
Excellent service and food. Lived up to its reputation. Would recommend.
The restaurant is lovely. Their food is good. It was strange they closed at 10pm. They started shutting down at 930. That was strange.
loved this restaurant...such a nice place and atmosphere. food was incredible....the mushroom croquetts are to die for.
We had a table outside, near the "Rose all day" sign. It took an hour for the waitress to get our order. Either they forget the fact that there are people outside or they simply don't care. Music was loud, I felt like they were trying to make a display window there, but they forgot that we were actual customers, not silicon models! Also, please tell your chief that when you cut the egg over a smoked salmon, it has to leak a liquid form of the egg yolk, ours were fully cooked. We didn't send it back because it already took an hour to get that thing. Sorry but this was an awful experience.
Nice place, modern music, perfect service and good meal.
Celebrated a friends birthday. Very nice dinner , beautiful atmosphere, great cocktails, very good service. Great location on Melrose Place. They comped us a birthday dessert which was lovely.
Food is okay. Place is so nice. But the ladies next to us are talking so loudly.
Haven’t been to F&O for a couple years and decided to pop in when a friend from NY was in town. Had a super nice waiter, who guided us through a spectacular meal. Started with the Crostini’s (Burrata, Shrimp and Steak Tar Tar), which were super yummy. Moved on to the Risotto with chicken added and a filet plus a side of Brussels spouts. The Risotto was awesome and the steak melted in the mouth. Throughout this experience, the waiter was friendly and attentive. While a bit pricy, the great service, food quality and ambiance made it all worth it.
The service was so bad I will never come back to this restaurant.
We had a reservation for 7:15pm on Monday night. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. We arrived and waited for our table which was not ready. The host said people were “hanging out” but didn’t seem to care that we had a res. They finally offered to seat us at these little tables in the bar area. We agreed because we we’re hungry. The appetizers were great but the main dishes left a lot tons desired. Pumpkin risotto that tasted nothing like pumpkin or risotto, mushroom rigatoni that was average at best, and dry salmon with gross sauce that tasted like soil piled bananas. Our waitress was very sweet but spotty on attentiveness. We enjoyed ourselves regardless of the food, and overall, it’s a really cool place to go. Just not worth the price.
