Really poor service and average food

Wonderful food and superior service

It was a while since I had been to Fig & Olive. My previous experiences were excellent. This time, the food was subpar - the charred octopus was tough and lukewarm when served, and the lamb chops were extremely tough as well. I wasn't thrilled with the wine, either, but that was my choice (my preferred one was unavailable). On the other hand, cocktails and crostinis were excellent, as I remembered them.

Amazing food! Amazing service

Our waiter made my birthday celebration an extra special event - even sharing that he had the same birthday. Food, drinks, and service were excellent.

The service was poor. It was four of us. Two people got drinks and two had to wait 10 plus minutes. Same with the entrees. Desert was worse. The three who ordered desert each got it separately over time. When I mentioned it to waiter he did bring us a complimentary drink but the poor service added an hour to our brunch. Two of the diners had a plane to catch.

Great food. Good prices. Terrible service. Multiple drink orders never came. The server would disappear for 20-30 minute intervals.

Love the jazz band that was playing on Saturday. Decor is really pretty and the food is great. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Work dinner

This is one our favorite restaurants and they never disappoint. We had a variety of crostini to share. My daughter had the lemon chicken, which was good, but not very interesting. I had the duck which was very good, while my husband had the paella, which he liked. Of course, I also had to have one of their matador drinks, which I always love. We'll be back!

We were initially a bit dissuaded because it's a chain, but thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was terrific, the service attentive but not overly so. Most importantly, since we were there with longtime friends, the noise level was appropriate to friendly conversation.

Poor service, mediocre food and very pricey. Not worth it!

My boyfriend and I came here on valentines day and it was a huge hit! We got there a little early so we sat at the bar for some drinks! It was packed but everyone was attentive and kind. Once we were seated our waiter was fantastic and even gave us both a second drink on him to apologize for the wait! The food was absolutely incredible and someone from the front even can’t outside in the 19 degree weather to take an amazing picture of us! We will definitely be back!

Valentines day

I have. dined here many times and I always love it, but this time was Valentine’s dinner and it was a prix fix menu. The appetizers were very good as always. The beef carpaccio was delicious , as were the bruschetta. Unfortunately the main courses we ordered were simply bad. The halibut was inedible because it was extremely fishy. The fillet was sub-par and served cold.
But in another positive note, the dessert sampler was very good.
I will definitely be back for regular dining but not for any event with a prix fox menu.

Bobbie and I celebrated our first Valentine’s Day here and loved the special menu and rose she was given (: She deserved it all and more. Will be back again!

This spot is electric!!!!

Everything was incredible from the service to the food ! I cannot wait to come back ! The carrot and ginger soup was out of this world! The mushroom risotto with chicken was so yummy !

Had a nice prix-fixe meal here with a friend - wanted to have an upscale splurge and this was a great place to do it. Great architecture and amazing food.

I just spent hundreds of dollars at a restaurant with fake olive plants + fake table candles as decor???

I asked for my filet mignon to be cooked medium and it was well done. Disappointing as the flavor was basically lost. The potato purée was also stiff and had a nearly congealed feeling. However, the mushroom croquettes and my friend’s truffle risotto were amazing. So not a total loss! The cocktails were also enjoyable, though it took longer for those to arrive than the food. Overall, I would recommend giving Fig & Olive a try, but be weary.

Food and ambiance were terrific. Our waiter was very helpful and courteous. Only disappointed because the olive oil tastes were not available on the weekend.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my fiancé’s birthday during restaurant week. The Meatpacking District location is my favorite!

I really enjoyed my experience at Fig&Olive. It was my first time and I honestly recommend others going. The attentiveness of the servers are spot on! We went on a Thursday for restaurant week and they had a live jazz band that played so well we decided to order cocktails to watch a bit of the music.

The food was outstanding and I just love the intimate ambiance.

One of my favorite places. I always come when I am in NYC. I’m never disappointed. Lovely staff. They remember me every time I come in.

We asked for 5 plates and sides, but 2 sides didnt come. One of the plates was terrible. My lamb burger was less Than ok. I really love This restaurant, but not that day.
